I thought these were biennial or short lived perenials or am i incorrect. I have left them in, in the hopes they will come again.

I`ve always left mine in,do collect seed occasionally but usually to give away or spread elsewhere in garden......

I do both, some I pull up if they are too woody or have spent the summer in an inconvenient place (!) and some I just collect seed from. They self-seed so readily too. Lovely plants.

It certainly is seed-collecting time - I keep popping out to see if any more geraniums have dark 'bills' on them, then I bring them in and get the seeds out!
