In my garden.

I spent a lot of time in my garden yesterday, tidying, pulling out bedding and generally wandering around doing not very much.

I pulled some late weeds from my new raised beds.

Tidied the last of the summer bedding and the inevitable weeds.

and gave my new compost heap a turn over (Carefully to avoid hurting/disturbing any hedgehogs that might have taken up residence!)

That’s all there is really!

I am jealous, Ian - it was so wet here and blowing a gale, too. Not gardening weather,at all. One guess what it's like today, as well! :-(((

I have so many jobs I should get done out there, as well!

I bet you felt satisfied with your day's work, though. :-)))

Well done Ian, it wasn't a bad day in our neck of the woods yesterday apart from the wind, I'm sorry to say though all i did was have a wander round, thinking what i should be doing.

What no photos Ian? You are slacking, where's the one of that weed or that dead annual....or even the compost heap! LOL
Now the garden is nice and tidy for the winter, how about sharing your plans for next year.....or is that top secret?

I think we must have been very lucky here Ian,as I did the same as you yesterday.(great minds think alike?)My compost got turned over too.I went for a walk first, and then did the garden, but it did rain later in the afternoon.Today has been nice too,so had a bus ride out to Halifax for a change.Won't be doing much of anything this week,as I am going to where I used to work ,for xmas lunch.everyone who has retired still gets invited every year, which is nice, and on thursday, all of us from our Line dancing class, are going for
another one at a local pub.I may not eat again for days.lol.I suppose I could
do some strenuous digging on Friday,to work it off !!

I am just so fed up of the rain - they said on the weather we had 50 days worth continually somewhere in the uk!! (did we annoy St.Swithin's this year or what!!!" - I keep looking at my veggie patch and normally give it a good dig over before the frosts start - well its way too wet for that, so I would love to get out if this bloomin rain would stop!!!

Glad you had some good gardening weather, Ian, my poor garden is still too wet for me to tackle any of the jobs that need doing. I am hoping for some hard frosty days soon so I can go out with my secatuers and make everything look tidier :)

Ian, you are lucky to have good weather to work in the garden. :) Here we had a frosty day! Oh, I wish if we have raining instead of frost!

I'm with SBG, all useful daylight hours during the week stuck in overheated office (yurgh) with nice colleagues tho. Must make more of an effort at weekends so I'm not just eating bacon, drinking coffee, sleeping, doing laundry, ferrying kids etc.
Pottering round the garden just makes me so darned HAPPY, even if its ****** freezin. And even if I don't actually DO anything, lol.
