WARNING ! – AN UPSETTING PHOTO :o(

This notice was pushed through our door a few days ago.

The road mentioned is the single track road that goes past the back of my garden, and which people say looks so peaceful ….
but it hides many atrocities :o(

That is horrible. I do hope they find the person/s responsible.

cruelty :-(

Appalling.

Crime detection is more scientific nowadays Hywel. They can find the person responsible with just a hair on a piece of wood. I think it is wonderful.
The main thing is not to 'walk by on the other side' its up to all of us to use our pocket phones, inform the Police and help them as much as we can. Particularly reporting
snares which trap wandering cats.

How cruel. What goes on in people's minds.
That wasn't Bella sitting in the lane ?

So sad that humans are capable of such crimes. Beautiful and peaceful country you have there Hywel.

5 Mar, 2016

How sad to see this. I gave a "like" for Bella.

5 Mar, 2016

It could have been Bella caught like that. Lets hope they catch the criminal who set the trap.

Thank you all for reading about this bad act.

Yes Marjorie that is Bella in the photo. She enjoys catching shrews in the hedgerows.

I agree Diane. We should all report anything bad that we see. Too many people turn a blind eye.

Bella sais thank you for the like Paul :)

Sue I think the snares were further along the road than where I live, but cats do wander and I know there are some cottages along there where cats live.

The countryside does look peaceful Klahanie but this sort of thing spoils it :o(

How awful Hywel I do hope there are no more incidents of such cruelty and the person concerned is caught and punished.

Thank you Neena, so do I !

Years ago I was walking across country home, and found a Muntjac Deer stuck in a pig netting fence. I had the deuce of a job trying to pull it out. It was so frightened.
In the end it forced its way through to the other side, and ran off. Human talk didnt calm it at all.

6 Mar, 2016

It was kind of you to help the deer Diane.
I have a friend who tries to free sheep from brambles and wire surrounding the fields near where she lives. They get very frightened and sometimes she contacts the farmer to come and free them.

I clicked 'like' Hywel because I thought it right you should bring this awful crime to people's attention. How can anyone be so cruel? I hope they find who is responsible and lock them up for a long time!

Thats horrible and so upsetting for the person who found it, makes you wonder what goes on in some peoples minds, thank goodness they have found and taken the snares away, not allowed to write what I'd like to happen to the culprit...

The countryside is lovely, isn't it, but it can hide a multitude of cruelty and horror. When we lived in a rural area I had to close my eyes to it, giving myself the reputation for being a softie.
I am, as I can't bear cruelty in any way, shape or form and don't understand the mentality of those who do it.

Thank you all for your comments.
I can't look at the picture in that leaflet. It makes me feel sick.
The countryside is not idyllic. I always remember the words of Hercule Poirot :-

“I thought I could escape the wickedness of the city by moving to the country. The fields that are green, the singing of the birds, the faces smiling and friendly. Huh! The fields that are green are the secret burial places of the victims of murders most hideous; the birds sing only briefly before some idiot in tweeds shoots them, and the faces all smiling and friendly ... what do they conceal?”

6 Mar, 2016

I suspect you are only scratching the surface.

6 Mar, 2016

It isn't as really bad as that though Hywel - not many murderers buried round here anyway as far as I know.
Poirot was bound to take a jaundiced view of things.
There are good and bad everywhere I guess.

Oh Hywel how can people be so cruel ,I can quite understand people often saying they prefer animals to humans its so sad , Bella keep safe ! x

6 Mar, 2016

Steragram I am not saying there are dead bodies in every field (although you never know what's there until it is found) ... it just reminded me of Poirot's words, that's all :o)

Thank you Amy :)

I've read your blog Hywel... Sadly, there is far too much of these sickening acts going on all over the world... :-(

7 Mar, 2016

I know Hywel. Its horrific and sickening and doesn't bear even thinking about. And what's horrible as well is that some people routinely treat other people like that too... often with the state's approval.

7 Mar, 2016

Thank you both for your comments :)

How people can do this sort of thing and mistreat the wildlife gets to me. I hope they catch the people responsible.

So do I !
