I would like us all to hold the people of the Philippines in our thoughts tonight …
and especially GoY member Junna, who lives there.
I hope she’s all right.

They have been very much in mine too,Hywel..especially Junna..it is a heartbreaking tragedy..I do hope we hear from her, when all the services have been restored..I just hope she lives in an area that hasn't been affected as badly..I saw that Manila wasn't as badly damaged..but I don't know if she is anywhere near there..

G fianza asked recently about the names of plants in her mothers garden in the Phillipines. I asked if she had had news of her mother. She had had an email saying that she was safe as she lives in the northern more Highland part and it was the more southerly part of the Phillipines which were worst affected.

I agree with Cristina, we are so blessed here and miss out on all the horrendous weather that other countries get. What a lovely thing to do, Hywel. I hope Juna can see all these messages and is back on here soon ! I can't imagine what it must be like to experience this ! Most of us take our every day life for granted and perhaps don't appreciate how lucky we are here !
