Mid November garden.

Well, we can’t really grumble about the weather so far. We’ve only had a couple of good frosts, so there are a few flowers hanging on to add a bit of colour in the garden. The Chrysanthemums in the front garden are still adding a glow, especially when the sun shines on them.

Looking around the back garden I’m surprised to see some Fuchsias flowering. Most of mine were quite slow to get going this year, burst out all at once then seemed to shut down altogether. They had a good rest and then sent out a couple of buds this month !!!.😳 The bush varieties have all died back though.

The poppies haven’t stopped flowering yet..

Some of the Penstemons are starting up again. They have a really long flowering period and are so worth having.

It’s nice to see a few roses too.

My only two cosmos. Lol…self sown.

I really should cut these Rudbeckia down but I can’t bring myself to do it while there are a few looking ok…

Siris pink Hesperanthus are still beautiful. They make me smile every time I pass them or see them from the conservatory.

Finally here are a few other plants I’ve found giving some interest or colour.

It’s great that it’s edging us nearer to spring.
I took these last two photos from the bedroom window this afternoon. I love how the yellows stand out..

Thanks Sbg. Im sure the garden is staying greener and colourful later every year. Or maybe it's wishful thinking...lol

Isn't it nice to see plants flowering so late in the year. Your garden is lovely Sheila :)

All very cheerful still. The chrysanthemums are doing really well aren't they? I do like your garden. It must have been quite a challenge laying it out with all those steps and its doing you proud!

Wow your Acer is stunning, only a few leaves let on mine now , you still have plenty going on H'bird which is a joy to see, must admit mine was alright last week but the cold has got to a lot of them now, never mind I can see the Hellebores coming out and a few primroses, never ending Rudbekia and Penstemons as well, I keep deadheading and they keep producing more buds, you just have to love a garden in autumn....

Lots of colours still to enjoy. Our Acers have shed their leaves now, even the big one at the front. That always seems to go on and on.

I don't know if I'm imagining it but the Autumn colours seem to have been glorious but over very quickly this year.
