The primulas this spring.

I love the bright colorfulness these are bringing to the garden. The flowers seem much bigger this year after I split them up at the back end of last year. They are looking a bit bedraggled now but still look good from a distance…lol, a bit like me really..:o)
I really like the colours of this one but something else has been enjoying it too by the look of it!! It’s a shame I only have one of these.

I love this yellow one more than any of the others.

I think I will split them up again this year and bring some of the blue ones nearer the house.

I so appreciate the colour that they bring to the garden and yours are such a lovely mixture. I like to see them displayed at a garden centre - row after row of rich colours. I think they have done particularly well this year.

You have a nice collection, it is a pity the slugs and snail like them too...

So glad you still look good from a distance Homebird. Wish I did. The prims are great - always so cheerful.

Lol Brian. It's the only thing I can beat you at....
Thanks everyone. Most of these are about 30 years old, or rather the results of splitting them every year and clearing out the oldest bits. I bought 4 the year before last and they are about ready for splitting up and spreading around.

They are lovely! I have lots of the pale yellow and some lovely terracotta ones, but they are all nibbled - not sure what's eating them.

A lovely collection HB - yes, slugs are indeed having all their meals on your Primula it seems :)
Their colour is a real treat at this time of the year.

I love them too, I bought one like the top photo recently, reminds me of a fried egg :0)

Lovely colours you have there, I must have the best variety of snail so don't worry Homebird, I crush them now instead of throwing them. :o))

The top one does remind me of a fried egg now I come to think about it Pam.
Yes, it's fast becoming the world famous slug restaurant here. I found several of those long thin ones on the steps this morning. Why don't the birds eat them, I ask myself, they are so brazenly sauntering about in the open. Well they aren't any longer......
It's been throwing it down with rain here for the past hour or so and suddenly as I speak, the suns come out and it's brilliant. :o)
