It's raining again so decided to get a few jobs done indoors.

The beans are growing like mad now and every day I am picking a tray full. what we don’t eat or give away to relatives and friends I have been freezing.

I also freeze any beef joint left over from Sunday dinner and wait until I have enough to make old fashioned pasties with it. I had some frozen puff pastry so I spent an hour making these. They smell delicious and are an old favourite with all my family since my mother used to make them when I was small.

There was a bit of pastry left so I cut up an eating apple and made this apple and cinnamon tart. It was delicious with a spot of custard on. Would have prefered cream but didn’t have any. The widow cleaner had his eye on the pastries. lol

Thanks everyone, there are only 2 left because we got a surprise visit from Shelley and the children and my Mother. We had some for tea and they took some home.
I will put the recipe in a blog Grandmage. They do smell lovely when you are making them.
