Just a few more photo's of my garden at the end of May.

Again this is really just to record what is in flower at this time in the sloped lawn borders, so I can compare next year. The flat lawn borders and the top garden have very little in flower yet. Fingers crossed there will be more to see in there next month. Anyway here’s what’s in the slope lawn borders.
Paeony, Clematis and Magnolia….

Nelly Moser..

Water Iris Rt side of pond..

Water Iris pump side of pond..

Lt side slope lawn. Lilac, Iris, Paeony, Stachys, Geums, Polemonium.

Clematis, aquilegias, Paeony.

Top of Lt slope lawn. Prostrate Ceanothus, Aquilegias, Dianthus, paeony.

Closer photo of the Ceanothus.

Dianthus.

Forgotten the name of this one.

Osteospermums.

Alliums.

Dianthus Passion has a lovely strong scent.

First roses.

Poppies.

Aquilegias.

Heucheras, Paeony and lupins.

Dianthus, Weigela, Heucheras. I have been moving the pot with the Weigela in all round the garden looking to find the best place to plant it. I think this place is favourite.

Geum, Cornflower and rose.

Up beside the steps……

Middle Lt side slope border. Polemonium, Geum and the yellow cape Fuchsia.

We are having a day of drizzly and gentle rain here up to press. The garden already looks greener and brighter and the rain will have a chance to soak in and do more good than a sudden hard downpour. I do hope you are enjoying the fruits of your labour in your gardens too.

Cool and drizzle more off than on but great for the garden. Hbird your garden is beautiful with such lovely planting I bet you never get tired of looking and waiting for new blooms to appear, you have worked hard and it shows.

Thankyou both so much. It's lovely to come back after being up at Shelleys for the 2 days each week and see the difference. Holidays in the summer don't really interest me that much now the kids are grown up (except to take them all for a week or two somewhere during school holidays). I would sooner stay home all summer and enjoy the garden, then go away in November and February somewhere warm to shorten the dull winter months..

Been looking at your garden and plants Karen, I love what you are doing with it. You have the most beautiful roses especially.

It's the only way I can think of to remember their names and know where plants should be popping up Sticki. We will see if it helps me to stop digging up plants by accident next year...

I kept a photo record one year, took pictures of the plants as they came out but i didnt note down where they were and i have since changed everything round!!
