An hour in the greenhouse and it was freezing today....

The plants in the greenhouse were crying out to be transfered to larger pots so I decided to wrap up and get stuck in. This is all I managed to do before my hands were too cold to do any more…
The Dahlias were really pot bound..

Polimonium from seed saved last back-end….

Erringium Blue Pearl from seed saved …

and finally the various Geum seeds saved from last year….

There’s still a lot more to do but with a bit of luck it will feel warmer tomorrow and I can have a good afternoon getting it all done.

Same for me too Homebird. I took a hot coffee with me so managed a little longer 1hr 20 min! It is meant to be warming up next week, but then it'll be too hot!

Shame it wasn't warmer for you, Hb ... I managed to plant out the Fuchsias from the cold frame before they reached the roof of it ... it was warm enough to sit out with a coffee this afternoon ... better weather forecast for the coming week ... :o)

I think we are all in the same boat ! Although I must say it was a little warmer here today, and now gone cold again.

I do hope you are all right about the weather warming up a bit. It's about time. At least if the sun is shining it's quite warm out of the wind but it's been really dull here for the past few days.
Never satisfied are we Sbg.....
Shirley you were fortunate, warm for a while and got some planting done....:o))
Grandmage the plants have enjoyed all the rain, but it's not very seasonable weather at the mo is it..
There is still a distinct chill in the air if the sun isn't shining Cinders.
I remember when Emily was born 2yrs ago it was so warm we had dificulty keeping her cool and she was out in the garden with us with just a nappy and vest on.......

Even right down here in the south the weather has been unseasonably cold and dreary. It was much warmer today, I managed to get a few jobs done and tidy up the greenhouse a bit. Everything usually gets planted out by next week (Chelsea week) but just have soooo much to do. Still, I expect we'll catch up. The weather must get warmer soon????

Glad you got some of your jobs done Poppylover, it's satisfying to at least get a bit sorted isn't it. I don't think I have ever been so late getting plants out into the garden....

HB your dahlias look good, sorry you had another cold day, much better here today, thank goodness.

I have planted some out into the garden but there are still lots in the g,houses that have come to a standstill, not even made it outside during the day, lack of both light and warmth I guess, its been terrible here today, grey and very cold, I`m cheesed off with it now, grrrr...

We are happy with DRY. Warm weather seems too much to ask for. I am still lifting pots in and out of the green house as it is too cold at night.....possible frost for us!!!

I am glad you are having a bit better weather Dd, just doesn't feel very seasonable yet.
Lincslass and Linda, it's high time the temperatures were rising isn't it. It's the real dip in temperatures at night that is the main worry for our young plants. One day I am thinking I will risk it, then the next I think it would be a shame to lose them now. We are too impatient to get everything ship shape aren't we. Mother nature is showing us who is in charge and making us wait 'til she is ready..lol
Anyway, the ones in the coldframe are definitely going into the borders this week so I can put the others from the g/house in to harden off.
