Tulips everywhere....

I love my garden at this time of year when all the tulips are starting to flower. The bulbs were bought for me by my son about 8yrs ago for my birthday and bring so much pleasure every spring. It’s been extra pleasurable this year after I planted much more winter hardy plants last year so have had only a little bare soil to look at through the winter and early spring.. Anyway here are the tulips I rave on about…….

It’s so nice to see these every year and I will be forever grateful to Christoher as I didn’t have any at all until he gave me these. I had always thought that they flowered and died in a flash but I know better now don’t I….

Yes I love them Cinders. I now prefer them to daffodils although I like to see them too in the garden.

Gorgeous HB....I've planted Tulips in pots for the first time this year - they don't seem to do very well in the borders.

Maybe it's the cold and wet up there Scottish that they don't like. I thought about getting some more for pots for the front of the house, but left it too late.

A lovely show.....I prefer them to the yellow daffs, do you leave them in or lift them?

That's a splendid show! All mine are in pots, because they don't seem to do well at all in the ground. No flowers yet, but plenty of fat buds

Thanks for all your lovely comments.
Dd I have never dug them out. Some have ended up in different places when I have dug up and moved plants and the bulbs have been inside the root ball.
Bloomer I am deffinitely going to get some for pots for next year to put out the front.
Yours will still be glorious Ojb when mine have gone over. Then I can feast on yours.....
All thanks to my son Sheila..... :o))

Lovely display. I do not grow any spring flowering plants myself as my garden is small and all available space is occupied by summer flowering perennials and roses.

Thanks Annella, I am going to put the fancy ones into pots for next year as they didn't stand up to the weather in the garden.
