COMPOST......
COMPOST......
Posted on 17 Mar, 2009 7 comments
As its been lovely and sunny, i decided to empty my black compost bin out…

It was hard to move, so i got a fork underneath to tip it on its side…

I managed to tip it all out and was amazed how much there was… This is the first time i have used the compost from the bin…

I forked it over, underneath the compost was ready to use….I filled a large flowerpot and put some round the roses…

Then left it in a tidy heap ready for when i want to use it….

Great stuff hollyeves. I would cover your pile until you are ready to use it. The rain can leach the nitrogen out of the compost very quickly.
