Very Strange.....

  • Had a potter in the garden this afternoon, tidying up bits and pieces and all the pots i have. i couldnt beleive it when i saw this little tiny Rudbeckia flower open… it has grown already but the plant itself has not yet grown… very strange.. perhaps like me it couldnt wait for Summer : O ))

lovely! My Rudbeckia has also survived in the greenhouse over winter. Its just starting to grow now....I'm pleased as it was a really great flower. Very strange that is has pushed up this flower, but nice for you!

Linda, I got one for the first time last year, Prairie Sun. I loved it and read that it was best to treat them as annuals as they are not hardy. So I decided to try leaving it in the pot but putting it in the greenhouse. It has worked! Great!

Thanks everyone.... I have these in a pot and keep them on the patio, i put lots of compost on them in the autumn.. and they come back every year.....
Hope the weather will stay good now Hywel...
No we didnt have a frost today gee have had a little bit of frost over the las tfew days but nothing much.....
