I am now retired having had several careers, starting with nursing and midwifery for 23 years, progressing after back opereation to office work, then running Pubs and a Hotel and finishing as a manager of a Sheltered Housing Scheme. My hobbies include Garden Design and I am a confessed Plantaholic. I love gardening and finding good plants and unusual ones. I also love classical music and opera. as well as going to the theatre. I like to travel abroad, always visiting gardens where possible for my holidays. I speak reasonable french and a smattering of italian. Lastly I love quilt making as a good occupation in the winter! I am still very active, can't sit still and walk about 8-10 miles every morning with my Parson Russell dog Lucy. Fortunately I have a wonderful husband who does all our shopping and cooking evey day!
