A Little Ditty

There was an old gardener called Maggie
Whose bum was a little bit saggy
She thought – with a yawn
That mowing the lawn
Would make her pants look less baggy

Sadly it didn’t work so she bought some Spanx instead!

Had another good day potting on too. I have asked him indoors to take some more photos to put in the blog. He is good at things like that, photos of gardens and flowers. He also gets excited snapping steam trains and planes so high in the sky I wonder if it is worth the effort.

We have some lovely yellow tulips which turn orange as they get older and two of the acers are putting out flowers which are so pretty and dainty. The violas in the gravel paths are also strutting their stuff. Things seem to catching up at last. There’s a lovely weeping crab apple just about to burst into flower, gorgeous crimson clusters, all of these I will endeavour to show you.

With a bit of luck we may even get some of Miffy helping in the garden, in a supervisory capacity of course. I just love it when the weather is like it has been today, not too hot and not too windy, just perfect. Yes, all in all today was simply lovely :D

P.s. How’s this for a laugh – did you know it is NAKED gardening day on May 8th? Of course I always do my gardening in the buff – and yes I have the figure of Claudia Schiffer – I also have an incredibly long nose I keep tripping over. Happy Days!

Don`t think I`ll join them,I get enough scratches on my arms and legs, don`t fancy a scratched butt. Like your little ditty........

If it's ok with you I'll think of you as a Claudia Schiffer look-alike when gardening.

Oh dont I just empathize with your little ditty, but as for the naked gardening day forget it apart from the scratches and bites I wouldn`t like to upset the neighbours poor souls up to now they appreciate the view over my garden fence.

Loved the ditty but I agree would definately put the neighbours off gardening if I took up doing it in the buff!!! (might get a few calls to the police too!!!)
