Promise of Spring

I’d intended to start blogging about my little London garden once Spring got under way but things are happening so slowly there’s not really much to write about yet!

In the meantime, I have just been for a girls’ weekend in the country, and we had a long muddy walk in the Cotswolds, where the very first signs of Spring were peeking through.

In cottage gardens, clumps of snowdrops dazzled against the honey-coloured Cotswold stone.

And catkins were almost golden against the blue sky.

Litchen on the trunks and branches of trees caught the sun.

Then the rain came down and we trudged onwards through the mud. But then the sun came out again and this rainbow appeared…
