I rescued it this year from my dad's house - it was a bit unloved after my mum died so no olives yet - maybe one year!

Yes, Uncinia rubra it's called. Been admiring it for a couple of weeks at arden centre and had spare container so just had to have it! Spring bulbs planted around it too.

Dear Spritz,
How lovely to read all about your Mum in your blog. 99 - what a fantastic life! It's still so hard to lose them at any age isn't it.? My Mum was always on my side - I miss that. I try to be like that to my daughters and I suppose thats what she taught me. Your Mum was so obviously your friend too wiht a lot of love between you and thats what stays with you.
Jo x
On blog - Thank you all so much.

How lovely - so colourful for her to enjoy. Have just planted a container of spring bulbs to put on my Mum's grave in the spring - hope they look as good as these. I can hear my Mum chuckling to herself at me finally enjoying gardening!

Are you quite coastal too Hywel? I'm right on North Cornwall coast. This looks great place!
If you fancy some of those white grape hyacinths I could always post you some?

Hi Chris.
Jacqe has very kindly posted me some of her cleome seeds ready for next year so was just lokking up on them on GOY and saw this lovely photo of yours! Will remember what you said about slugs though as I really suffer from them in my garden!

Loks lovely there Hywel! Near you? One of the great things about GOY is seeing different public gardens and storing a photo on my favourites so I can hopefully visit them sometime!
