I've had such fun!

Hi everyone,
Hope you’ve all had as much fun as me?!
I’ve put some photos on my site to show you all what I’ve done.
Autumn containers using grasses which I’d love to try somewhere in the garden borders. Also made up two pots of Narsissus using the ‘Earlycheer’ bulbs I bought back from the Scillys – one for me up by the stone bench and one to put on my Mum’s grave in the Springtime. She would not believe that I have taken up gardening in earnest!
Then I started planting all the perennials for my shady border and planting bulbs in between – the plants I used for shade are in my garden section on this site. I found it more difficult to choose suitable plants for deep an dappled shade so fingers crossed at least some of them like it and thrive!
I had some great bulbs sent from a nursery – www.rosecottageplants.co.uk – beautifully packaged in paper bags with clear descriptions on and great planting instructions and advice.
They even rang and told me when they were posting them!
Also had some Allium bulbs from them which they advised were suitable varieties for shady areas and some others which I will be putting in the front garden in a border in front of our lounge window.
That’s my next project!
Jo

Planting is the best part of all, I agree with you - you have the picture of what it will be like in your mind and the anticipation of watching everything take off!
