These are my favorite roses! When I keep them trimmed off they will keep blooming into October. I had to tie up the bushes so they wouldn't lay on the grass.

I love this picture of my flowers! Thank you for seeing the beauty in them. I love them and I am always amazed at how well they grow. I am not that much of a green thumb.

If you could find some horse manure you could make a hotbed...that might extend your season just enough that you could have cucs too.

looks like you have a raspberry and an oenothera growing beside...that purpleness in the leaves of the nasturtium I remember well...it was a symptom of cold stress... Your arctic summer must be just peaking about now right? You have a lovely little garden going! Congrats!

Great! do you have 60 days frost free up there? give it lots of feedings... My dad used to plant our cucs and pumpkins in "hills" he made a lovely bed with a layer of fertilizer (usually smelts) and topsoil mounded up and culivated to a fare-thee-well. then tucked in the seeds and watered and pretty soon the hills would be little ovens... our pumpkins always got off to a good start...lol.

Lovely colour. I guess you need to make the most of your short growing season in Alaska. I can't really imagine what it's like.
