Queen Elizabeth the 2nd. 25th anniversary trees.

Have been meaning, for years, to take photos of these gorgeous trees planted in my local town in 1977! So with camera and i.pad in hand we ventured up the road because the sun was so beautiful, the sky was so so blue, I just had to snap a photo or two of their blossom, they only flower for a couple of weeks and are usually hit by late frosts or biting wind, but am pleased to say I have managed to capture them at their best!
Enjoy.

Wow! I can see why you love them! We have a row of cherries at the field where they play football close to this estate, and another one on the edge of the park, also close by. Soon they will be out, but not yet. Everything is so late....it's just like waiting for Christmas when you're a child.....except Christmas always comes on time!

You are all true friends indeed! Not one of you has laughed at my mistakes!! I am really fed up, why does a computer turn your photos when you can see them the right way up?? Maybe I should google it. i will let you see them 'one day' the correct way. Thanks all. x

Naughty Sheila! nice to have you back! I was just going to say that I was watching Beechgrove this morning, and we are officially 5 weeks behind our average spring....isn't that awful? Lets hope some catching up happens very soon! It is like March here....everything so bare...but only a matter of time now. :)

they truly are gorguous trees, but I wonder if the peopleliving around them love them so much when they start getting snow all over the place ...

Lincs....blue sky is so special isn't it?
Sheila....trust you!! :)
Karen, what a day we have had today....too hot!!!! Cannot win!
Fran...as these trees dont last for more than 2 weeks approx. I think in the main everyone loves to see them, the first sign of spring and nice warm sunshine. They are planted along by the shops so the 'snow' blows away quite quickly :)
