Here, here Grandmage! And what a little treasure playing with the flag...:))

3 Jun, 2012

Wasn't she amazing? I watched most of the pageant, and really felt for our 86-year old monarch standing for such a long time! But what terrific spirit shown by so many people getting so wet. :)

3 Jun, 2012

Thanks Janey, couldnt resist!
Sheilar i have been glued on and off all day, well its been too wet to go out in the garden Lol. Hope the Queen doesnt catch a cold now, such a shame.

3 Jun, 2012

This is just lovely, and I totally agree..how she managed to stand all that time,I don't know, and she was looking decidedly chilly, towards the end..lovely patriotic flowers G.mage..but Emily is the best one..she is so beautiful, and looking so girly,in her pretty dress.:o)

3 Jun, 2012

Thanks a million B. of course i think Emily is the best flower too! and yes I did feel for the Queen, if that had been me I would have been frozen!

3 Jun, 2012

Me too,G.mage..just been watching Gary Barlow, and how he has put the song together,..so nice to see him taking it to the Queen to hear....love it :o)

3 Jun, 2012

Aw, lovely!

3 Jun, 2012

Emily is gorgeous Gill!
Watched some of the coverage here, what a shame about the weather.
Was surprised that the entire royal family were all on the same vessel.

3 Jun, 2012

We were at gardening Scotland was dry but so cold and then arrived home and sat and so enjoyed watching the Queen she is amazing I was shivering watching her.

And Kate was dress was so beautiful and her hat to.

I dont think it will be too long before we here of a Royal baby.

And yes we so enjoyed Gary Barlow on his journey of making this song for the Queen .

And the concert tomorrow will be fantastic we applied but never got tickets.

As H was 60 end of 2010 and I will be next yr.

3 Jun, 2012

Thanks Sheilar, Lil & Scotk. Lil, think that Prince Andrew was on another vessel, also Prince Edward & Sophie were too, It was a rare sight to see Charles next to his mama I must say. I loved Kates outfit Scot, so bright and cheerful, she was having quite a laugh with Camilla did you you see them? Now tomorrow will be a great day, going to watch the concert with my daughter, have downloaded the new song 'Sing', we love it, such a catchy tune. Also have to watch Gary Barlow, we love him too.

3 Jun, 2012

Beautiful tribute - specially the iris! Bless HM, wasn't she amazing standing all the way - but for the sake of the person who made those beautiful thrones I did wish she had sat down for a while!

3 Jun, 2012

I agree Steragram. Best view was watching at home.
Disappointed they didnt show 'Portway' Steam Tug, as it went to Dunkirk. Is based in the Pool of London. (See website.) There was one steam tug, but it wasnt 'Portway.'
Would have like close up views of the flower arrangements.

4 Jun, 2012

Hope you enjoy the concert,G.mage, that will be great..and the sun is shining here..hope it is the same for you too.:o)
We are going to my Sister in laws, for a celebration family party,..just hope the grass dries out ....If we don't wear red ,white and blue, she has a bucket full of silly things we have to wear as a penalty...phew,I will be ok :o) Maybe when the wine flows, some willl wear them anyway !

4 Jun, 2012

thoroughly enjoyed it
and wished that our sunny weather could have been in London too .
your photos are lovely GM especially the last one :-))

Kate was gorgeous BUT she must have been freezing !!!

4 Jun, 2012

Think we all agree as to how gorgeous was Kate's red dress then!! A stunning colour. Did you see the horse whisperer in 'all the queens horses' blew me away!

4 Jun, 2012

aaawwww great blog,lovely coloured flowers:)))))

4 Jun, 2012

Stera, thats exactly what I said, all those man hours in stitching etc. and they weren't sat on!!!
Diane, I loved the flowers on her barge, they were splendid, the lavendar and roses, fabulous, the cost too!
B. sounds fun, enjoy, we are not actually going up to London. we will watch it from our settee in the front room and have a sing song too!! Much warmer. Lol
Thanks Helen, how are you? Its been a great weekend really shame about the cold & wet though, I sneaked the heating on last night!!! Just for a while, it did make a difference.
Lou, do you know we watched the horses and i went out to make a cuppa and when I got back everyone told me about the whisperer, i had missed it! Do you watch that american guy with his dogs! he is amazing too.
Thanks Mark, just thought i would do this as this weekend will be in our history books.
Thanks all. x

Now I thought that Scotcat......

Ido hope that they were wearing thermals......

I wondered if the seats were wet with the driving rain.

The Princess Royal was on a launch with her husband, we thought that when the barge moored up the rest of the family should have joined them....and given the Queen a cuppa......

Did you seeCharles and the boys trying not to bounce for the hornpipe....:0)))

P s the prettiest flowerwas the last photo....

4 Jun, 2012

Great tribute photos, GM. Nice idea.

I also wished the Queen had sat down. I began to think perhaps the seats were damp and she couldn't risk sitting on them in that cream outfit! Or maybe she justed wanted it to be more informal.

Loved the War Horse, Joey.

4 Jun, 2012

Lol Pam & Oji, think we all thought the seats might be damp! couldnt have the Queen sitting on damp chairs now could we, she might get piles!!!!! Lol. I did think that her cream outfit was not quite the right colour way for a barge trip!
Oji have you seen War Horse? Amazing show isnt it?

4 Jun, 2012

True Gran but at least she showed up against the red!. I thought someone said that there were crystals on the coat

I,ve been listening to R2, top 60 hits since the chart started in 1952 ( the year I was born)........beatles no1 elvis no2 & cliff no3......I was sewing up some knitting

4 Jun, 2012

sat and watched it all .............. really wanted to be there !! it looked brill . wot a shame bt the duke being poorly now after all that ............. lets hope he better soon ...................... hope the sun is shineing there now , happy days all ............... xx o))))

4 Jun, 2012

Super photos Grandmange especially the one of the flag waver - she looks slightly ponderous as to what its all about, bless her.

4 Jun, 2012

Stroller I tried to get her laughing but no luck, she was having fun, just took photos to remind her when she is a big girl, that she was 10mnths old at the diamond jubilee! Criissie dont think you would have liked the crowds would you, I know i wouldnt, much safer indoors! Its bloomin cold here got the heating on again tonight. Pam I did see squares of gold on her coat and yes i think crystals too, quite posh! They were on that barge for a long time no wonder poor Phillip got cold, no cups of tea in sight! My hubb reckons he would have had some rum in a flask in his pocket, as he was a navy man once upon a time!

4 Jun, 2012

Sadly Prince Phillip is in hospital tonight and expected to miss the rest of the celebrations. Best wishes to them both.

4 Jun, 2012

He is in good hands Drc. think we all forget how old he is!

4 Jun, 2012

8 Jun, 2012

8 Jun, 2012

You need to rest up now for the next big thing I've heard something about Gill. The Olympics?? ;))

8 Jun, 2012

There seems less interest in that at the moment. Lil, maybe as it gets a bit nearer......

9 Jun, 2012

Oh Lil, I have been out jogging most nights in preparation for it!!!!!!! LOL

9 Jun, 2012

9 Jun, 2012

Its all football again at the minute......

Keep up the good work Gran, we're all behind you......far behind you.......(shhh.....feet up with a cuppa really. :0)))

9 Jun, 2012

Lol you lot!!! I couldnt run for a bus either! I only walk to the car door and thats it! Pam I curse when the footie is on I'd rather watch paint dry to be honest! and dont get me started about the cricket!!!!!!!!!!!

9 Jun, 2012

Cricket IS watching paint dry........

My Dad loved cricket and
I didn't have brothers or sisters so guess who had to do the scoring at some of the local matches.... it was happy days really, seemingly endless summer. :0)

9 Jun, 2012

My daughter has just informed me that Prince Philip is home.
I`ve loved every minute, I got them all on skyplus and watched whilst on my own, don`t care what they say you just cannot beat a Royal Occasion done our way,
I `m finished now as not interested in any sporty events although I did used to like wimbledon when Macenroe was throwing a paddy..
Lovely pics, G`mage especially the last one.

9 Jun, 2012

Pam, me also, I had to do the scoring and help with the teas, it was our weekend life for years and years and i grew up from babe to adult at the CC. But now I hate watching it, maybe I had had enough when I was younger.
Lincs. yes P.Phil is home in time for his 91st birthday bless him. As for wimbledon, its not for me either, but I must say I enjoyed Mcenroe 'You cannot be serious' !!
Thank you, my plants have been bashed about this week, will have to go out and tie some up, good job we have photos!
