My name is Jan, and I live in Newport, I am very lucky to have a delightful garden with 3 ponds and loads of widlife visiting. This year I have an event of biblical proportions going on in my garden. . A plague of Tadpoles!. .I have given bucketsloads of them away to friends for their ponds and yet, I still have billions.Everywhere you go in the borders there are froglets hopping about and still loads of tadpoles.
A few years ago I planted teasles in the hope that it would attract goldfinches, it worked! I have recently enjoyed watching 5 long tailed tits feeding just a few feet away from my patio.
My front garden is full of cottage garden plants aqualegias and perrenial poppies out at the moment to follow the blue bells of early spring.
