Peanut butter and marmite??? :- | ewwwwah

I still can't cope with the thought of nuts and chocolate spread on bread.....
Peanut putter and jelly ( jam ) though...now there's another thing altogether!
Or peanut butter and Marmite on toast....or peanut butter in sticks of celery....okay, so I like peanut butter!

Nope, I promise, cross my heart, I didn't liberate the squeezy tomato, Sid! It's a replica....I'd been looking for an original one for years, and no joy...then a couple of friends who knew I wanted one BOTH got me one within the same week! I am a two-squeezy tomato household, now!

Don't be envious, Gilli....when I got to the supermarket, they hadn't got any!!!!!

;-)

The mind boggles Gilli! A 40,000 chicken-poo-pile in Yorkshire. What did the neighbours say? Is that why you left for Canada? LoL

This winter Gilli..no chemo visits with Brad..you are married to the man you love.. :o) this winter will be warmer in many ways...
Your garden is lovely in the preparation and care you can see here...the snow will do the job it is supposed to and spring will come again...xx ~Cat

Oh my that poor thing..but he is not going to suffer for want of food at least. When I was at my daughters for a bit..I hung suet feeders in the tree outside my window and the Stellers just had a field day with it..and the racket..lol..I was impressed that the tiny little chickadees..managed to flit in and have their way with it too..even tho the Stellars were so bossy over it..the poor little squirrel left the area!

Yes Gilli..it does look a lot like North Eastern Washington..I liked the crispness of the air and the smell of the pine when we visited. Very nice for horse back riding too...would love the trails to ride here that they have there.

I have stopped putting potato peel in my compost bin because the darn things sprout. So they only go on the heap, now. Egg shells - well crushed. One or two sheets of newspaper from time to time and, yes, certainly shredded pvt papers. Ash from the incinerator. "Vacuum cleaner stuff" - there must be a better phrase! :>)) - that's an interesting suggestion. I'll try it. Nothing wrong with dead mice is there? Loozey leaves them all over the garden.

Gilli, was that comment meant to be sincere or sarcastic. Was it because I follow the traditional route.

Oh my...., he's so handsome ! Wish I had them here where I live.

{chuckle}
Sorry to make you hungry Gilli, but that was my first thought.
VERY beautiful bloom! :-O

I am more or less the same as you Gilli everything goes in that will rot. We only have one bin. We put a load of little red wiggly worms in there a long time ago. They are supposed to help things along and the pee on the odd occasion. We have mice too, though I havn't seen any recently. Don't turn it or do anything in particular. It comes out the bottom, rich and black and quite useful.

Beautiful Gilli! Love the high hedges there......keep warm!

lovely, your mum is talented - like all the paintings

Wher in my house are you Derekf. From your description we are both here and and both have exactly the same philosophy.

Ah, how sad. I must say, we've been pretty lucky with our neighbours. Except the one side seems to suffer from the oposit complex to your neighbour in that he seems to WANT people to be able to see him. We used to have a yew tree that gave some useful privacy between our two houses and he came up wtih all sorts of reasons why we should have it removed, even though it was not even growing over the fence at all and if it was, he could have trimmed it to his hearts content. One reason he came up with was that he was worried his youngest daugter would eat the poison berries. Said daughter was about 8 at teh time and, well, if she was still at the stage of picking things up off the ground and putting them in her mouth ......! We did take it down in the end. I've planted a holly instead. Nice and Prickly ;-)

even though its cold it still looks pretty when the snow starts to come,

i like this one , one of my favourute plants Gilli
