They are made of plaster - came from the dollar store, so I am sure the weather will do them in , but I needed something of interest in that brand new garden with all it's teeny tiny plants this spring. I'm hoping that eventually the speedwell will surround the area where the heath planter sits, next to the footprints.

LOL! You guessed right! It is under the white Solanum in the purple/gold/white border. It's a little on the pink side of purple, but who cares? I like it!

It does spread, Jacque, if you have a sunny area where you need ground cover.

Veronicas prefer sunny positions or at least some sun - so I don't think that yours would flourish in the shade, although this species is a new one on me.

Thanks Mike - the only trouble is that you have to kneel down to see it properly as it is quite small and near the ground!

If it never opened any further up it would still be beautiful.
