Love to grow this plant, it's tough, blooms forever like an annual, but it is a perennial for me, and the butterflies love it .. What more can you ask for, right..!

It's just like taking penstomen cuttings, take strong side shoots from the main stems cut below a leaf node and pinch out the flower tip. I have used a cutting compost with some vermiculite in it for drainage, water in and hope for the best. Do quite a few in case some fail as they usually do, Bonariensis is really easy as i have done these for some years now and given lots to friends and family.

It's supposed to be - but with some protection e.g. straw over the top during cold weather. It is more purple than pink, darker than the Seabrook one.

I'd like some advice as to how, please Holly, because I do like it and would like spares in case it succumbs during the winter!

Is this one hardy? I'm taking note of the name and will look out for it.
