Hi Nancy...don't you love these plants? I just bought a "Sweet Kate" the other day.... it has yellow leaves (the more sun it gets) and the flowers seem huge... I decided to plant it with the yellow iris...maybe a mistake but they both like lots of moisture and full sun...so they are at the sunny end of the pond and I am going to take notes as to who can out compete whom...maybe I'll get a show from them? Great pic, as usual.

This one just appeared in the middle of some irises this year....don't know where it came from. Perhaps it is a gift from the birds.

One of my favorite plants, I have several different colors growing throughout the yard. They seem to bloom forever !

Lovely delicate colour. Makes a change from the blue one.

Spiderwort is all over the place here. Very invasive but looks beautiful in mass plantings.

This plant has so many regional names...where I come from they call it Widowmaker...don't ask me why...it's a tradescantia, right? very pretty and looks like it naturalizes well... This area must be on the cusp of it's zone, because it seems to need shelter, like a foundation planting, in order to do well.

Here the dark green-leaved kind comes up wild. Sometimes I find different shades of Purple and one is a pinkish-lavender. I love any color.

Nice foliage contrast. I've got spiderwort too, but mine has darker green leaves.
