Autumn or Spring, but make sure you cut it hard back.
On question - Should I cut back Nepeta 'walker...

We often cut everything back too soon leaving the garden bare. If you have a cat he will love to lay in it. Let it go through the winter and cut back hard in the early spring, then feed.

Mine would eat it right to the stalk. I have to hide these on high shelves or in hanging baskets. Put it in her reach and you note her returning for another chew every half hour or so. lol.

It's also called catmint because cats are said to love rolling in it. My cat, Blodyn, will not go near it lol : )
