Easy, Spritz. Go to the shops section here on GOY and order from crocus.co.uk. Also, Growsonyou will earn commission, too! I, and many others I know, respect Crocus for the quality of their plants, and also because they do (or surpass) their "mission statements".

No this was a fresh packet of seed this year. I grew a packet of cosmos last year too, but havn't noticed any self seeded ones from that packet, though in theory this could happen, so that you get some new plants every year from last years seed.

depends on how much cultivating you've done... sometimes the seed remains in the soil for a couple of seasons once the soil is turned...then the next time you cultivate...up come all these lovely little sleeping seeds and voila! wonder where that came from??? lol. It's one of my fav parts of gardening...learning what sprout is which plant!

I love cosmos cause I bought a pack of seed years ago and haven't had to buy another since! they self seed and I recognize them when they self seed and start to emerge in the spring...they pick their own spot...and they are so lacy foliaged, and grow so tall that they can fit just about anywhere...

Its in dappled shade Lori. I think I was surprised that they started to flower so quickly after I planted them out. A lot of them are flowering now, even though still small but they are also growing fast, so in the end I think thye will get to their proper size. The ones I grew last year grew very big and were late flowering.

Did you say that you can't sell your photos? Or that you did'nt want too? I would definitely pay $ for your photos and I think that a lot of other people would as well. But...until then I'll just continue to be amazed by your hobby.

No, they're not Cosmos. I think they are annual Chrysanthemums. I've been looking at my seed catalogues and have found some similar ones - not so colourful, but lovely, even so!

I've just started taking photography more seriously and was wondering what camera and lens are you using for your fantastic insect photos. Can you give me any tips or advice?

Your photographs are some of the best I have ever seen - you clearly have a very special talent. Maybe you owe it to the world to make photography even more than a hobby? Anyway, keep them coming - they are a real joy to behold.
