Abutilon Megapotaicum

Genus: Abutilon.

Species: Abutilon megapotamicum.

Abutilon growing on south facing wall ,first time growing this climber ,will have to wait and see if it survives winter
Now April 09 and this Abutilon Megapotamicum has come through one of out harshest winters in a long time ,now got new little leaf buds looking forwards to seeing it in bloom again...
September.09. now blooming again and making good height ,
October 09 and still in flower ....
March 2010 ,no sign of any life ..yet... just hope it, has survived on of our coldest winters ,lot of plants in garden seem to be slow to burst into growth....
April 24th Just had a look and there is little buds now showing ,so look,s like this shrub will survive another year ,,,suprised it has after the bad winter we,ve just had....
August....although this Abutilon made a start back in April it has been very very slow to make any more progress .still only some little weedy leaves and no sign of any flowers ,think although it survived winter it,s gone into some kind of shock ,will be moniotoring it closely over the next few month if it does,nt shape up ...out it goes...
Now september and still no sign of any flowers ,althought there does look like there might just be one lonely little bud emerging ....think this will have to be given some protection over winter to be sure it survives .....dont really want to dig it up ,,,giving it another chance to shape up...

October 21st 2010 ,after a whole season with no flower,s it has at last given me a little flower ,still in two mind where to dig it up ,but will give it some protection this coming winter and see what happens next year ....dont as a rule let anyhting stay if it wont perform .....but I like this shrub....so it can have another chance...
