AGM. Large purple red racemes of scented flowers in mid summer onwards. Flowers attract butterflies in profusion. attractive oval dark green foliage falling in autumn. Suitable for borders or wild gardens. Likes sun or light shade in any reasonable soil. 2.5mX2.5m. Reduce all previous year's growth to within 8cm of origin in early to mid spring. Dobbies 16/4/11
