Karensusan63's Garden

Rosa 'Benjamin Britten'

An unusual colour . Deep salmon pink changing to intense pink-red. Deeply cupped flowers gradually develop into an open, slightly cupped rosette. Useful to provide a highlight. Medium height, vigorous with dense growth and excellent foliage. Fruity fragrance, wine and pear drops. 4x3'. Can be grown in a pot.

beside the gravel garden, to the right of the black arch. It's a shrub rose, so it only needs a light prune in late winter. With all roses it is best to remove the dead flowers right back to the next growth point (next leaf axil or bud) to encourage more flowers, but you don't have to do this.
