About this plant

this bed runs from the right hand side of the patio, up to the woodland bed which is about a 1/3 of the way up the garden. in the winter the conditions are very wet and full shade, but in the summer it is quite dry - with the acception of the bit right next to the patio, and very sunny.

the colour theme i have gone for in this area is very vibrant, reds, oranges, yellows, hot pink and purple, and a touch of lime green and white. there is a lot of fence space, which i have covered with various climbers, including clematis, passion flower, jasmine, honysuckle nand a virginia creeper closest to the house. i have also planted 4 different coloured rose bushes, yellow, orange/pink, apricot, and hot pink, to give a bit of wow factor. there is also some evergreen interest for the winter as it is close to the house and patio, with a red robin, hebe, lonconera, and my little red perennial shrub. there is quite a lot of spring interest too with all sorts of spring bulbs.
