Alstroemeria 'Purple Rain' - Peruvian Lily

This is a lovely flowering plant, but I have been pulling it out as it doesn't grow tidily! It lives in the back border in the area under the winter flowering cherry tree. You might not see it..but if you do, just leave it to do its own thing. If you want to, you can pull out the flowering stems...just pull them out from the base, and that encourages further flowers. The flowers are excellent in a vase. They last well. They flower in summer over a long period. Once they finish I pull them all out to keep it tidy. They always come back in the spring.
