I have just spent the best part of an hour writing a blog ,and I wanted to add some photo’s and now I cannot find what I have written. w Was I supposed to save the draft before I clicked onto Add photo’s. They have gone to my other photo’s but not to where I wanted them and that is with the blog I was writing .
Please help an idiot on a computer please. Frank

I’ve just noticed when i was going to publish this, there is an add photo’s bit…… that must have something to do with it.

Hi Frank - think what you may have been doing is clicking the add photo icon on right side of screen instead of the include photo tab at the bottom of your new blog.

This would explain why you been adding photos to your homepage and losing the text in your new blog.

As you write your new blog click include photos select your pic then click submit. This will add photo to your blog.

You can then add text and next photo at relevant point by repeating procedure.

You do not have to save text to add photos but useful to click save as draft to ensure you happy with result prior to publishing.

If you wish to preview at any time click save as draft.Once you ve given your new blog a title and saved you can leave and return by clicking write a blog clicking the new title and clicking continue editing.

Its s great system once you get used to it as when joined originally we had no way of saving blogs to return to them and had to be done in one session !

Its possible to save more than one draft blog prior to publishing - hope tis helps good luck.

Sounds like BB has hit on the head. You need to use the 'Include photos' tab at the bottom of your blog box.

Then as BB says, you submit the photos and then the blog box will return ready for more text and photos.

I always click on 'Save as draft' first before I publish - you can see what you've done with all the photos added and if you want to make changes there's an 'edit' tab to the right.

Once you've done it the first time it gets a lot easier after that.

I had to have a little laugh at your blog.....as i did the same thing when i first started bloging...you'll be doing it with you eyes shut soon.Good luck :o)))

Ha ha 'SNAP!' Swanky, I did the very same when I first came onto the site, you click the tab and then ...... nothing, and you think now where the heck has that gone, (or words to that effect) hehehe.
But definately Frank, you will get used to it .... honest :o)

Frank - As soon as I have written the title and the first line of a blog, I click on 'save as draft'...then return to it to carry on, including adding photos etc. This means that I know that the blog is safe and I won't lose what I've written!

If you want to make it a bit easier to include photos, add them to your page first - then when you want to 'include photos' you just click on the one you want from your page, and bob's your uncle! Magic! :-))

Excellent Idea Spritz, I will use that myself, I usually save draft after writing. (I did'nt know I was an Uncle tho') :o))))

Yes Spritz that's a great idea, never thought of that. It saves messing around browsing pics while you're doing the blog. Makes it a much simpler process if you're not sure what you're doing!

cheer up Frank, it's only a question of getting used to it... do not lose heart. It took me a while to realise you can't "move" the photos around in your written blog, they are sort of stuck fast.
Look forward to your blog when it's done. Keep asking questions on here if you have more problems - it's the best way. : ) - that's a sideways smiling person !

Weeding - you can move your photos around. You can just highlight this bit on the blog -
!http://media.growsonyou.com/photos/blog_photo/image/...etc.... etc...
with your mouse and then right-click and use the cut and paste options.

How annoying Frank.
Another idea is to put the photos into your blog first and then add the text around them, obviously you'd have to think through the order of the photos.

Sorry Frank, I forgot to commiserate in my above comment. I think we've all lost blogs when first learning how to do it and it's so annoying when you've spent ages doing it. I always press 'save draft' from time to time as I go along just in case I press a wrong key and it all disappears! It does get easier, good luck next time.

Frank you can always write it on your computer then copy and paste it on GOY so if you do lose it on GOY you still have it on your computer so all is not lost.

I feel for you Frank, there's nothing worse than laboriously typing something up only to find you've lost the blasted thing. I can type fast, but I once did it with a set of minutes, on page 6, nearly done, lost the lot, had to start again ... I still haven't forgotten it, nearly threw the computer out the window....

I bet you did, Bamboo! My typing is laborious.....

Hi Uncle Bob! Do you like your new name?? lol.

Good luck with the next blog, Frank. :-)

Wow what a lot of help . Thanks to all of you. My mate has just come back off holiday and he is anxious to have a game of snooker, well it is dark might as well. Oh by the way that is another passion of mine. I am a qualified snooker referee, and I am needed for some qualifyng rounds this weekend. So no gardening on saturday for me .
When I come in later I will give it another go, and use all of your advice where I can. See you all later Frank.
