Moving in.

We moved here (Forest of Dean) nearly two years ago and have more or less come to terms with the garden. There is no long-term Masterplan, We prefer to let things evolve around us.

The rustic approach is used wherever possible. Whilst some ‘formality’ is allowed, it is not something that we strive toward. We both prefer the ‘cottage-garden’ approach.

Our old garden was in the chalky Chiltern Hills, so a big change is being able to grow Azalea and Rhododendron, along with the various perennials that prefer no alkaline. This is a joy.

Further blogs will be about the plants we have. Some may include the wildlife hereabouts, time will tell.
