A little lost in Somerset........

1500 comments

Hello my fellow Goyers, I wanted to share with you, a magical day we experienced on Thursday 03rd June 2010, when we bundled ourselves into the car, and set out to see Spritzhenry’s garden at her NGS Open Day…..

Full of pioneering spirit, we headed towards Somerset, and did really well till we got lost in Bridgewater! (Why is it men hate to ask for directions?). We did find a very nice Morrisons, but Spritzhenry’s place it was not, and after a bit of tooing and fro-ing, we eventually found ourselves outside our destination, in a very rural, outstandingly beautiful village.Once parked, we made our way in, being met by some wonderful, friendly locals, and of course, our hosts for the day, Spritz and OH, and the one with the warm wet nose, and soulful eyes, guardian of the portal, Henry, the most friendliest,handsomest Labrador you could ever wish to meet!
Once he had checked us over, and given us his lick of approval, we entered what I can only describe as a little slice of heaven………..

Would you care to come with me as I walk you through Spritz’s garden……

The sun was shining, there was a gentle breeze, and tea and cake available, supplied by the W.I, and lots of seating areas……..

Gently winding pathways lead you into various garden rooms, each with overflowing borders and spectacular flowering planting……….

I couldn’t resist getting in close to these beauties………..

These caught my eye too……..

The sound of a gently flowing stream was music to the ears……..

And so our day in horticultural heaven drew to a close…..Spritz and OH, couldn’t have been nicer hosts, the Open Day seemed a great success, and with our senses filled, we left our wonderful hosts to relax and look back on a truly memorable day…….Would we go again? Without a doubt!!!

Am so pleased you enjoyed your tour, Great, it really is a spectacular garden, totally took my breath away, and so well laid out. The colour scheme of the planting was amazing, and my photos really don't do it justice.......

6 Jun, 2010

Hello Cinders! It really couldn't have been more perfect, and it's always so good to meet up with other Goyers. Spritz even had a selection of plants for sale, from a local nursery, and from her own garden! Tea, cake, plants, sunshine,I was in paradise! I could only show you a brief tour, but it really had to be seen in its entirety to really be able to appreciate it! I am really pleased you enjoyed seeing it through my eyes though. :~))

6 Jun, 2010

Flori, your pictures are wonderful, they really capture the garden well.

I think everyones said it al Flori B - I think you`ve captured the romantisism of it perfectly thank you.

6 Jun, 2010

Bless you Stroller, but it has to be Spritz that deserves all the praise~I only photographed it, she created the magic in the first place..... :~))

6 Jun, 2010

Lovely to see an outsider's 'take' on Spritz's wonderful garden. Don't sell yourself short, Flori - they're a lovely bunch of photographs and convey some of the magic for us.

6 Jun, 2010

Wonderful photos of a fabulous garden - so lovely to have a virtual tour - thanks for showing us. Sounds as if Henry had the perfect 'meet and greet' attitude, a lick of approval lol!!

6 Jun, 2010

What a beautiful garden, thank you for sharing your tour with us, wish I could have been there!

6 Jun, 2010

6 Jun, 2010

I want to say 'thanks' to Flori for writing this blog, and for coming all the way here, as well. It's interesting for me to see my garden through your eyes, Flori!

Anyone who can get here next Thursday will be more than welcome! :-)))

6 Jun, 2010

Such a fantastic garden to visit, thanks for showing us round Flori..and to Barbara for all the hard work there...it looks an absolute dream! Beautiful photos and weather to match...if only I could get me a magic carpet for Thursday...:o)))

6 Jun, 2010

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments, Wagger/Kat/Jan/Clarice and Sbgirl~I love the fact you have all enjoyed my 'virtual tour', but if any of you can get the chance to experience it for yourself, please do~my photos of the day are only a small taster of the real thing, and couldn't capture how truly great it was!

Spritz, hope I haven't embarrased you by heaping all this praise at your door, but through my eyes, and all those people who came, and have yet to visit next week, your garden was perfect, and I think these comments posted, will show you the pleasure all our other wonderful Goyers have gained through sharing your garden through the lens of my camera. :~))x

Janey, if I had a magic carpet, I would get you ALL there, cos this really was worth the effort to see!! So good to hear from you Janey!!

6 Jun, 2010

I echo all that has been said,such a wonderful garden.my idea of heaven.
will you give me a lift Janey,not far out of your way via Yorkshire ,as the magic carpet flys.lol.Free on thursday too.:o))

6 Jun, 2010

Thanks for this chance to "see" Spritzs truly lovely garden Flori...it must have been a day to remember !

6 Jun, 2010

Hi Bloomer~yes, it was mine too, and went well beyond all expectations!
We have Wiltons, the Carpet manufactures about 20 miles away from us~wonder if they can supply a flying carpet for you all to get there?? Now THAT would make an interesting aeronautical report, not so much a UFO, but a UFWCBG~(Unidentifiable Flying Wilton Carpet Bearing Goyers) Tee hee hee :~))

6 Jun, 2010

Bb, it was all that and more! Will be back next year if I pass muster with Henry that is! LOL. Thanks for getting in touch!

6 Jun, 2010

What a wonderful Blog Flori...you gave us a wonderful tour, you sounded
so proud to be showing us Spritzhenry`s garden, as though it was your
own..Everything was so beautiful, what an enchanting garden, full of interest
wonderful colours...your close ups gave us such a great sharpness of the
colour and markings of each flower, loved it...i am so glad you enjoyed your day...i did feel a bit jealous of you, getting a special lick from Henry..
Well done Flori.. cannot thank you enough...: ~ )))

6 Jun, 2010

Oh how I wish it was, Freesia! I could be a very happy lady with a garden like Spritz's~it was just such a joy to meet up with a fellow Goyer, and spend many happy hours just taking it all in. Being able to share it with you all just increases the pleasure that we gained from it. Spritz is the real artist here, she created, tended and nurtured this garden. It makes you very much aware, that however humble our patch of land may be, we all have the chance to create our own little bit of heaven within our own boundaries~we may struggle to see the beauty of it with our own eyes at times, but other people can, and it shines out clearly here.:~))x

6 Jun, 2010

Thanks Flori for a delightful tour around Barbaras garden, what a place, stunning borders full of wonderful flowers, you certainly did justice to it with your photos, wish we could have been there to enjoy with you all and Henry, another time perhaps?

6 Jun, 2010

Thank you Flori, your wonderful photos of Barbara's beautiful garden were a real treat (bet you were tempted to dangle your toes in that lovely cool stream !). :-)

6 Jun, 2010

Thank you Dd and Muddy~am really glad you enjoyed walking around Spritz's garden with me, it really was a perfect day, and the sound of that wonderful stream was a joy, water movement always adds to the pleasure of a garden, Muddy, and Henry enjoyed a paddle whilst we were there, I was quite envious lol!
Would definitely go again, so you never know Dd, maybe next time we can get a Goy convention together over there, Spritz would love that! Thanks for your lovely comments :~))x

7 Jun, 2010

Lol Flori, and Bloomer.......Magicflowercarpets.co.uk flying from Humberside, picking up at all major airports, destination Somerset.....buy 2 seats get one free...only on Thursdays...Lol!

7 Jun, 2010

Lol Janey, we might just have to watch out for that low flying volcanic ash though, as last thing we would need is carpet burns! Do you think with Health & Safety being what it is, that we might need to supply helmets and carpet belts too???? Would feel a bit sorry for the trolly dolly though, tee hee hee! :~))))))))x

7 Jun, 2010

Im sure we could rise to the occasion Flori and get above that ash.....we are Goyers...nothing can stand or float in our way...Lol! Mmmm....Health and Safety now surely they'll supply us with grippers...:o)))

7 Jun, 2010

Grippers eh? Now why didn't I think of that Janey???????! Duh! Couldn't agree more with you about the tenacity of our Goyers, a more stalwart group you could never hope to find lol! Do you think we need to go for Loop, Cut or.....(no I am not even going to go there lol)......pile? :~))

7 Jun, 2010

So long as it's not man-made fibre Flori, carpet burn on the knees is very uncomfortable ... (ahem, so I'm told) ...lol !! ;-))

7 Jun, 2010

Flying Carpets? Not in this area you don't - there's a Nuclear Power station on the coast and it has a 'No-Fly-Zone'. You'd get missiles aimed at you or the RAF scrambled! We can't lose our GOY-ers like that....:-(((( Try Plan 'B'.

7 Jun, 2010

Lol Muddy !

7 Jun, 2010

Oops! We hadn't thought of that, Spritz, good idea!!.......Er...what exacally was Plan B? I am open to suggestions........and Muddy, you behave yourself, you have shown remarkable self control.....(not like you at all! I am so disappointed in you!) LOL!
Ps, I'll get you some knee pads shall I????? Tee hee Hee :~))

(Janey, we need to work on Plan B, kid, and we've only got three days left to get it into action!!) :~))))))))))x

7 Jun, 2010

Don't like the sound of the missiles,Spritz,but.....getting scrambled by the RAF?..now theres a thought for plan "B".Lol. mmmmm

7 Jun, 2010

LOL Bloomer !!!

7 Jun, 2010

I wonder what they'd do if a flying carpet entered the no-fly zone? I suspect they'd all ignore it, as they'd be too embarrassed to let on that they were 'seeing things'!!! LOL. It might be classed as a UFO, don't you think?

7 Jun, 2010

Titter.....Carpet crew for you Muddy...:o) Definitely "Pile" Flori....:o)......the thicker the better...makes for a softer landing. Think it may be classed as a WFC Wilton Flying Carpet Spritz, surely they'll recognise the pattern, and roll out the red one for us???

7 Jun, 2010

Now that is an idea, Bloomer, lol, all those fit young guys in uniform.......Plan B is sounding better by the minute~do we get the choice of being scrambled, fried or poached??? or maybe I just didn't quite understand the terminology...........Lol!!

7 Jun, 2010

The Nuclear Police, in spite of their ever-present arsenal, are actually very nice! I'll have to tip them the wink...LOL.

8 Jun, 2010

Lol, Janey...I will leave you to decide your preference Flori...but I prefer boiled..and they could knock the top off my breakfast Egg,any morning.!!!!!
.Think you had better warn The Nuclear Police,we are on our way,Spritz......so they can hide.:o))

8 Jun, 2010

If you think I'm venturing out in the hail and rain we've got here to find them, sorry! I'm just NOT....I got wet enough walking Henry this morning! I think they may well have heard on the grapevine that something is afoot - and are already lurking somewhere....BEWARE!!

8 Jun, 2010

Bloomer, does that mean you like eggy soldiers?? Tee hee hee! I am not even going there regarding preference.....I know a deep hole when I see one lol! :~))

Hi Spritz, by the sound of it you have 'liquid sunshine' over there too, we have just had our downpour, and the new roof hasn't leaked yet!!
Raff, doesn't 'do' rain~OH took him out last night and the dog refused to move cos it was wet!!!

If the NP's are watching out for us, we just may have to resort to Plan C........any idea for Plan C, Bloomer /Janey/ Muddy and Spritz? We have two days and counting down.........(this message will self delete in 30 seconds).......

8 Jun, 2010

Hi Flori...
Glad you didn't get completely lost.
We would miss you :o((( xxx

8 Jun, 2010

Hi Terra, am glad to say we got to Spritz, and got home again without me commiting man-slaughter on my OH, though it was a close thing you know! Tee hee hee :~)) xxx

8 Jun, 2010

Oooohhhh......you are nasty to him! He was great! :-)))

P.S. What's plan 'C'??

8 Jun, 2010

Afew hours later......still thinking of eggy soldiers,Flori.Lol.and racking my tiny mind for a plan"C"..well,I did think of one ,really,but will end up in the same deep hole as you, so as they say..."over and out" :o)

8 Jun, 2010

Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos of Barbara's garden Flori. It felt as if I was walking around there with you even though I am so far away. The stream is idyllic too must be wonderful to have a waterway at the end of your garden :-)

8 Jun, 2010

Spritz,I was really hoping you would tell me what Plan C was.....Lol, though Bloomer seems to have a good idea~(join me in my hole, Bloomer, I could do with the company!!!), but she's keeping it under wraps! Eggy soldiers~yum! Sounds tasty Bloomer! Tee hee hee :~))

Sorry Rich, and there was you trying to give gravitas to this weird and wacky conversation! You would have been delightful company my friend, and am so glad you enjoyed my tour around such an incredible garden! The babbling stream is so lovely, total music to my ears, and it runs all through the village too from what I could see. Pure magic sums it up perfectly~my day out in paradise. :~))x

8 Jun, 2010

Ha ha :-) sorry I jumped in on the thread like that Flori didn't mean to sound gravitas ..lol.
Have you tried eggy bread Flori that is tasty :-)

8 Jun, 2010

It is always good to hear from you, Rich, and it just goes to prove that we are not all nuts in Goyerland, most would have given up on us by now! Ha ha ha! Glad to hear you are made of sterner stuff my friend~and as to eggy bread....isn't that soldiers without the uniforms lol?!! (Down, Bloomer, down, control yourself woman!) LOL :~))x

8 Jun, 2010

Thanks Flori I am sure that you can make it, but here is a BBC recipe for eggy bread and it mentions adding cheese, bacon as a sandwich etc..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A11484975

I may try this tomorrow-I am feeling a bit peckish now having read it...lol :-)

8 Jun, 2010

Have just pm'd you, Rich! :~))

8 Jun, 2010

Richard, many thanks for the Eggybread link. Don't laugh, but I'm 53 and have never made it before, BUT, guess what I'll be having for lunch ? :-))

9 Jun, 2010

.I am now thinking Eggy bread seems much more interesting than Eggy soldiers,Flori, .you are awful..but I like you !!... ( in the words of Dick Emery,remember him?) but you are probably a lot younger than little old me Lol. Enjoy your lunch,Muddy..:o)))

9 Jun, 2010

Oh I do remember Dick Emery, though was only a teenager at the time, Bloomer, as were you!!! Some sayings just stick in the mind, don't they?lol
Must admit Rich's link seems to be going down well, and he has helped me get out of the very deep hole I was busy (and oh so innocently!) digging for myself too, so am very grateful to him, if he did but know it! lol!

Muddy, I really hope you enjoy your lunch my friend!!! :~))x

9 Jun, 2010

Lol,Flori,I was just about to "fly" down with my big spade....not really fair to let you dig it on your own...Where is Janey hiding???..No Magic carpet in sight.!!

9 Jun, 2010

mmmmmmm ! Thank you Flori and Richardpeeej - check out my Lunchtime Blog. :-))

9 Jun, 2010

I love eggy bread!!
Plan C girlies and Rich and Muddy..........when we board the Magic carpet, Muddy, you will be ready with your trolley all kitted out with catapults and large vat of eggy bread. As we near Somerset and Spritz'z wonderful garden, Muddy will hand us the catapults and trays of eggy bread. On first sighting of the nuclear police.....firing will commence......

The MoD will be on their knees, sloppy bread will have wrapped itself around sparkling equipment, missiles will be dripping goo, soldiers will be scraping slaps of egg from their eyes, uniforms will be splattered. During all this chaos, we will sail serenely by to land softly and safely at Spritz's estate...........Lol!!

9 Jun, 2010

I'll watch out for you all....sorry to disappoint you, but there aren't any soldiers...but that means more eggy bread to eat en route if you remember your Primus stove! Please descend into the car parking field opposite, as I do not want soggy eggy bread all over my flowers, thank you!

9 Jun, 2010

Ah bless you, Bloomer, and there was I thinking we were in the same hole, no wonder it was quiet in there~I was on my tod!!
Had a feeling our Janey was secretly devising Plan....whatever it was, in a secret dug out somewhere~she should have said, she could have used mine, (dug out, not Plan) LOL! An army marches on it's stomache so they say~(that must be 'cos they have very short legs), so between them, our Rich and Muddy, have supplied rations of eggy bread for our Goy Force, to keep up their strength for the journey, and as in the best idea of recycling, any leftovers can be used to disarm and overwhelm the enemy! We will fight them on the beaches, and win, and yet, as all Goyers are, be magnanimous in our victory. Great Plan, Commander Janey, let us all synchronize our watches, and give our Magic Carpet the last hoover over!
Spritz, we will be coming in to land, have the butler standing by.......... :~))LOLX

9 Jun, 2010

What butler? Did we look as though we had butlers here? Hmmm....you were seeing things, Flori!

9 Jun, 2010

Aw Spritz...thought you would have liked the egg plant...:o)))

9 Jun, 2010

Hope it has stayed dry for your visitors today, Spritz~and that they have enjoyed your garden as much as we did! Will be thinking of you tomorrow too, my friend! :~))xxx

9 Jun, 2010

Floribunda when you have landed eggy bread an all Congratulations on a fantastic vertual trip round a stunning garden the photographry was next to Brilliant,but maybe instead of a waterway at the bottom of the garden a runway would be more helpful for the Magic Carpet and it`s passengers!!! xx

9 Jun, 2010

so glad you have come out of hiding Janey,we were about to label you as a deserter,and give you a white feather,or a Hen's one at least.Lol.So,chocks (or chucks) away,and we won't throw any eggy bread till we land,and we can enjoy a good yolk and a laugh together..So sorry ,but its the best I could do...Lets hope the windsock is downwind,after all this eggy stuff.!!

9 Jun, 2010

Lol! Bloomer.....lets hope the wind is with us for tomorrow, sure it more than likely will be......:o)))

9 Jun, 2010

No wind, thanks! my poor plants got battered enough yesterday. :-((

Yes, thanks - the new Zealanders came in the 'normal' fashion - in cars! They 'did' enjoy their visit, I think for the comments, anyway.

I was told it was a lovely 'kitchen garden'...LOL...I simply 'had' to correct that one!

9 Jun, 2010

Good luck for tomorrow Barbara.......hope there's sun for everyone.....will be thinking of you. X

9 Jun, 2010

Thanks. I know of three GOY-ers who are coming! :-)))

9 Jun, 2010

Yes good luck,Spritz,I'm sure it will be another lovely day for you.Bet you never thought you would end up getting all these very very silly comments,as a result of Flori's blog about your lovely garden...but its been a bit of fun for us,and on such a miserable day,weather wise,a bit of light relief......Look forward to your next blog all about it..:o)..

9 Jun, 2010

I'd like to second that. Wishing you a warm, sunny, busy but enjoyable day tomorrow. :-)

9 Jun, 2010

What an Eggxcellent response this has turned out to be (!!), and I hope you all got a chance to do our 'virtual tour' around Spritz's fantastic garden.
Thank you Janey, Muddy, Bloomer (you are just as nutty as me!) Red, Rich, and Spritz, and any and all who posted comments~this has been a lot of fun, with a chuckle or two thrown in for good measure~I hope you have all enjoyed it, I certainly know I did!! Have another successful Open Day tomorrow, Spritz!! We will all be thinking of you :~))X

9 Jun, 2010

Thanks - weather not too good today, though....but we'll cope somehow. :-(

10 Jun, 2010

It is pretty overcast here too, but has stayed dry, as I hope it had over your way! I know you had some Goyers coming over today, hope it was as magical for them as it was for us, Spritz! :~))

10 Jun, 2010

It stayed dry here, Flori! It was chilly, cloudy and windy, but I know the GOY-ers enjoyed their visit, and I loved having them here. Just back from the pub - like last week! I was too tired to eat it...again. :-(((

10 Jun, 2010

Oh am so glad it stayed dry for you and your visitors, I prayed that it would, Spritz! Is it all back to normal now, as these Open Days take such a lot of hard work and organising to make them a success! Hope our Goyers got caught up in the magic of your wonderful garden as we did! Congratulations my friend!! :~))

10 Jun, 2010

Great pix Flori, great garden Spritz! I especially liked the clematis... seems I have fallen in love with the clematis lately :o)

10 Jun, 2010

Glad all went well,Spritz,and you will be able to chill out a bit now.It was cold and windy here too,not the best of days for you,but at least it stayed fine.I went to the pub too,for lunch with a friend...nice and warm in there Lol.
Thanks for sharing your lovely garden with us...:o))

11 Jun, 2010

I think Henry was juuuussssttt a bit tired - he was lying flat on the hall floor for ages....I felt like doing the same, to be honest! (I still do... lol)

11 Jun, 2010

Glad you liked them Pip, I adore Clematis too, and though this was only a taster of what Spritz had in her garden, I'm glad to hear you liked them too!

Pub lunch, eh Bloomer? Now that does sound like a good idea! lol! Today is sunny and bright here, a complete contrast to yesterday!

Poor old Henry! Time to put your feet up for a bit Spritz, you and the OH have certainly deserved the rest after these last two weeks! Thank you for sharing your wonderful garden with us all my friend. :~))x

11 Jun, 2010

Pleased it all went well Spritz...even though the weather like here was a bit glum...how lovely to meet more Goyers and put some faces to names...:o) We're off to the pub for dinner later..........

11 Jun, 2010

wonderful pics of Spritzs garden... glad you had a great day....

11 Jun, 2010

I must have looked at the pictures 20 times already, there is so much to see and admire in Barbara's garden, even though it's only from photographs. What a wonderful area she lives in. Thank you Flori for the amazing pictures

11 Jun, 2010

Hi Janey, Holly and Titchy~lovely to hear from you all! Enjoy your meal tonight Janey!

Am pleased you enjoyed the photos, Holly, yes, we had a fantastic day out with the best of company!

Titchy~thank you so much, have got loads of photos I took of our day over at Spritz's, and if anyone wants to see more of this truly amazing garden, let me know, and I will post some extras~but however many I put on, it could never encapsulate this amazing garden in it's entirety. It really does need to be seen to fully appreciate the hard work and effort it has taken to make it as special as it is! :~))

11 Jun, 2010

Wonderful blog, Flori! Isn't this truly heavenly? Brought back memories of last summer, and glad to see that the weather was kind again. :-))

11 Jun, 2010

What an amazing garden Spritz has and what wonderful pics you have taken to compliment it further. Looks and sounds like you had an awesome day and rightly so waking through a garden like that!

Great blog....

11 Jun, 2010

Thank you David and Odd~yes, it really was as great as I keep raving about, and with the weather being so perfect as well, we couldn't have been luckier! Will definitely be going again if Spritz does her Open days next year too! Thank you both for your lovely comments and getting in touch! :~))

12 Jun, 2010

What could I say that hasn't been said already? Thanks

12 Jun, 2010

Thank you for getting in touch, Jenniet, am really glad you enjoyed! :~))

12 Jun, 2010

Welcome to GoY, Jenniet. :-))) I see you're in Devon! Maybe you could get here next year - Devon's not that far from here really, is it?

12 Jun, 2010

Nice one, Flori! Beautiful pictures, especially close-ups. Just fantastic :)

14 Jun, 2010

Hi Tommy! How you doing? Glad you enjoyed your 'virtual tour' around Spritz's wonderful garden~thank you for your lovely comment :~))

14 Jun, 2010

Hi Flori~~~! I'm still busy catching-up on GoYing; I'm slow as a snail :( Enjoyed your blogs about gardening history, please keep us the good work~~~ :)

14 Jun, 2010

Oh how I know what you mean about catching up, Tommy. Am trying to keep up with everyone's blogs but am miles behind on posting comments on Goyers photos~ yours included!! :~((
Am glad to hear you are enjoying my Garden History blogs too!x

14 Jun, 2010

Lots to read and look at~~ It's a bit of pressure but not the bad one. Isn't it just nice~~~?!

16 Jun, 2010

Hi Tommy! I would never have forseen how many posts this blog could have generated~it's Huge! Been a lot of great humour too, so well worth scrolling through it lol! Glad you enjoyed~such a magical day for us, and certainly worth the 2hour journey to get there! :~))

Hi Flori! 2 hour journey is nothing if you can enjoy all these lol :) I do admire your photo skill by the way. I'm struggling with the new camera I bought last week; the memory card (fujifilm) doesn't seem to work with the camera (sony); I should have bought the one sony recommended. Bad luck :(

16 Jun, 2010

Thanks Tommy, I am not as steady with the camera as I used to be, and that can be such a pain when you like taking close up's! Grrrrrrr! Sorry to hear you are struggling with your memory card, they should make them generic so any card fits any camera. I have two Fuji cameras, a point and shoot, and a bridging camera, that is a cross between an SLR and a point and shoot. It is probably this one that I get the best close ups, as I have supermacro on it, which means I can get as close as 4inches to the bloom! My OH bought me a Canon SLR at christmas, with a choice of lenses~haven't even got round to trying it out yet, I am ashamed to say!! :~(( Hope you get it sorted out soon, and be back to snapping away like the rest of us! x

16 Jun, 2010

Floribunda I hereby award you the "Terratoonie" Award for over 100 comments on a blog :o)

17 Jun, 2010

Well Pip, I will accept that treasured award with good grace and honour, but it's all down to Spritz really, all I did was photograph and blog it, you lot did the rest!
It has received a truly wonderful response, and been so much fun along the way. Goyers really are pretty exceptional people, in a world that is more often too busy to stop and look around at the beauty that surrounds us all, and take time out to chuckle along the way :~)) Bless you Pip! :~))x

17 Jun, 2010

Oh my goodness, lucky you, Flori! You are spoiled with cameras. I envy you Flori~~~!!!!!!! x

17 Jun, 2010

I like the sound of the 'in between' camera, Flori - my little Fujipix does a good job, but I've been wondering about a better one....and I have a b'day not that far away. Would you please tell me about it? I wouldn't want a 'bells and whistles' one - I couldn't get my head round that! More details, name, price etc please. Maybe a PM might be more appropriate. Thanks. :-)))

17 Jun, 2010

I have always had an interest in photography, so my camera collection has just kind of built up over the years, Tommy, but it is only recently that I have taken such an interest in Macro photography, hence why my wonderful OH bought me my latest one at christmas~which I hope to start using this weekend!! Goy has made me appreciate photography from a whole new angle, and I bless this site for it :~))

Hi Spritz, will pm you, my friend, but anyone interested in a bridging camera, there are lots available out there, just go into your search engine and ask :~))

18 Jun, 2010

Aren't you lucky to have such a sweet husband!?!! Not fair~~~~!!! I had to buy one myself :( Okay though, I'm going to use his Nikon someday if he allows me to ~~ But maybe such a thing won't happen~~~ Anyway it might be too complicated for me to handle it, hahaha~~~

18 Jun, 2010

Lol Tommy, was that buying a camera or a husband, as got a bit confused?!!!lol
Yes, he isn't a bad lad really. It is our 27th wedding anniversary today, I still swear you get less for murder..........Tee hee hee :~))x

18 Jun, 2010

Just catching up with all your comments Flori....Happy Anniversary to you both!!
Like you I like photography too and the same thing, it was because of Growsonyou that Ian bought me my fabulous camera...I love it, and discovering what it can see that I can't....depending on where you focus it Lol! Its a Panasonic Lumix with great magnification....I could spend all day faffing with it...:o)

18 Jun, 2010

Happy anniversary Flori~~~! I'll check the newspaper tomorrow just to make sure you had a happy evening, hahaha~~ :) Best wishes xxxxxxxxx

18 Jun, 2010

Thanks Janey and Tommy for your lovely anniversary wishes! Janey, have just pm'd you.
What ever are you implying, Tommy? lol.We are spending the evening revising, and I think it's starting to make me ever so slightly ga ga!! (What do you mean, you hadn't noticed any more so than usual????)Tee hee hee :~))x

18 Jun, 2010

Congratulations, you two - and many more anniversaries to come. You've got a long way to go to catch up with us, though! LOL. xxx

18 Jun, 2010

Ha ha ha~just getting here was a challenge, Spritz, but after all these years, the house training is just about starting to pay off! LOL :~))

19 Jun, 2010

Just catching up on everyone and everything Flori you lucky thing....Spritz's garden....Paradise...sigh. Really enjoyed your blog and comments lol. It has helped me make up my mind, not many of you know, but Spritz has asked me to come and live with her so I can enjoy her garden every day, she's so generous...and I've decided to take her up on her kind offer:-))))

19 Jun, 2010

That'd be in your dreams then would it, Bornagain? lol

19 Jun, 2010

Fraid so Wagger:-(

19 Jun, 2010

Aw!!!!!!!!!! Sweet dreams, then.

19 Jun, 2010

No, it wasn't! I have your room ready for you, Ba...Where are you? Your dinner is in the dog. Tsk tsk. :-((((

19 Jun, 2010

Henry is welcome to the dinner, as long as I can sit in, and walk around your garden every day Spritz, I'll help with the weeding too:-)) I've just come back from Gardeners World Live, Vicky's won another Gold! I'm just off to pack up my worldly goods, see you soon:-)

20 Jun, 2010

Hope you haven't tried to book with the "magic carpet" company,Bornagain,as when Flori,Janey and I tried to get to see Spritzhenry's garden,they never turned up...absolutely rubbish firm,and wouldn't recommend them to anyone ..Lol.

20 Jun, 2010

Happy anniversary Flori and may you be together for many more years to come :o)

21 Jun, 2010

Bloomer having read all your comments, I decided to use a more modern form of transport, the Laminate Floor Company. I believe it's a sort of giant slidey thing, where you sit on one end and 'hey presto' whiz off down to your destination, wheeeeee, here I come Spritz;-) Flori, I hope you both had a lovely day:-)))

21 Jun, 2010

Oh,dear,here we go again.!!...Your idea is much better than ours was,Bornagain,..where were you when we needed you?Lol. This is the 127th comment on this blog,will it make 150,do you think,and will it be a record?
Come on,Flori,Janey,and everyone else who has nothing better to do all day...lets try :o))) Sorry Spritz,you will regret opening up your lovely garden,I think...Lol.x

21 Jun, 2010

I'll give it a go Bloomer, but I have to put on a blog with pics from Gardeners World Live. It takes so long to up, or is it download? pics that it will take for ever. Is there a way to do it quicker that I don't know about?

21 Jun, 2010

Lol Ba......Bloomer....Wagger and Spritz!
Move over, Ba....I'm joining you, got room for both of us Spritz over at your Manor? Wagger was so right about that 'Magic Carpet' company, Ba, thought it looked a bit of a threadbare company when we first booked it, and they really pulled the 'Rug' up from under our feet, they just 'cut' and 'run', completely 'weaving' us out of the 'loop', so we were totally.....sh.....stuck!
Maybe the Laminate Floor company 'wood' have been a better idea, instead we 'pined' away over here,totally 'oak'ed that we didn't get to Spritz,life can be such a 'beech' at times, 'ash'ly,can't it, Bloomer? Is this a 'splinter' group from the carpet company, do you think? Or 'wood' that be just a bit 'tongue'n'groove?? Maybe, we just got 'fitted' up~whatever it was, it 'floored' us!
Actually, on second thoughts, Ba, this Laminate Company....would we really want to be fed through a machine, heated to a high temperature, and sealed both ends??? Come to think of it, it sounds positively painful......Tee hee hee!

Now a message for the only sensible one out of this group.....Thank you, Pip, for the anniversary congrats!!! :~))x

21 Jun, 2010

Ba,I don't know if its upload or download either..Lol.Seems we would get on well on our journey....:o))
Flori,..what are you like? really funny,and your puns are much worse than mine..Are you sure all that studying hasn't turned your brain ? now,now,dear,you will soon be better...just humour her,everyone,but don't tell her I said so :o))))

21 Jun, 2010

Ladies! This one I do know the answer too (I think!) You 'download' photos to your computer, but when adding them to Goy, you 'upload'~am quite smug now, lol! Does this make me a pc boffin now???(Yeah right!)
Am glad you appreciated my fine sense of humour(?), Bloomer, it has taken me many years to get my humour to this level.........(Having been married for the last 27 years has really helped too!) Sometimes I feel just so misunderstood.....LOL!

21 Jun, 2010

I don't misunderstand you, Flori - I empathise! lol.

21 Jun, 2010

LOL! Why bless you, Spritz, I'm beginning to wonder if Bloomer thinks that I am beyond all hope now, ha ha ha~where you and I know that it's an absolute certainty! :~))x

21 Jun, 2010

Lol....what a load of crackpots you all are....can I join please???Lol! Very funny Flori.....you can't ever be accused of being Wooden...lol ! You're misunderstood comment took me straight back to school, my surname then was Underwood, but used to get called miss Understood....:o(( Now, where's that laminate floor slide, we're going to have to cling on girls for dear life all the way to Somerset!

21 Jun, 2010

Hurrah,Thats another techno term I have learnt..thanks,Flori..but will I remember. ?As I now have it in writing,I can refer to this blog.So glad I was informed that PgDn meant "page down" button (thanks to Terra,as some of us were scrolling down all the time.)..duh...No,I don't think you are beyond hope,Flori,and echo the comment by you,Spritz.Lol.
Janey,how fed up you must have been at school,and people thinking you had not heard it all before...Shall I bring some high factor cream for the sunburn,as its very hot today,and some Sudacream for bumburn ? need to be well protected.Lol..

21 Jun, 2010

Hello Janey! The one thing that worries me with this Laminate floor slide, is the build up of static, and loose splinters~OUCH! Just brings tears to the eyes to think of it!!!! 'Plank' you for your lovely comment though, as long as i haven't 'Board' you yet, as I 'wooden want to do that! Hey, just had a thought, if we build up enough velousity, maybe we could hit 'Warp' speed! (Oh now THAT is really just SO bad, that even I have just disowned myself!)
You are our Chief Crackpot, Janey, we are just your motley crew! :~))x

Bloomer, I have only recently worked out the page up and down button too, my poor little fingers were beginning to resemble mere stubs with all this scrolling lark! Maybe that now elevates you and me to Super PC Boffins?????

21 Jun, 2010

Definitely,Flori.Lol.I am going to log off till tonight now,as I have had a PM from Bill Gates,and he needs my help apparently.ha ha !!!!!!!!!!!.

21 Jun, 2010

Ahem...I think you'll find that if you press 'end' you automatically whiz to the bottom of the page and if you press 'home' you whiz to the top of page. I think that trumps your page up/down. Now it's just occurred to me, as I was writing this, that this opens up all sorts of possibilities. What about it girls....with a bit of existential, out of the box thinking......we could possibly start our own travel business working on the above principles. I know it's a bit fuzzy at the moment, and I'm the first to admit that I have very little knowledge in this field, but I'm sure there's an idea here waiting to make us millions. :-))

21 Jun, 2010

Bornagain,you clever lady..I have been"ending" and "homing"like a thing possessed...so exciting!! doesn't take much.Lol. A long long time ago,(are you sitting comfortably?) I used to organise coach trips where I worked to see the latest pop stars of the day..don't laugh..the first one was Cliff Richard and the Shadows.He had just recorded Living Doll.It was so long ago,that Ike and Tina Turner were the supporting act !! I did have an ulterior motive,as I got a free seat and ticket,if I got a full coach load....so did lots of them.Lol.Does this count towards our new enterprise ? I promise not to sing it :o)) We now need a catchy name for our Travel Company..Over to the rest of you :o) Oh,goody,its time to press Home Lol.

21 Jun, 2010

What a coincidence! with your experience and my genius, we're half way there,but do you understand how we can use the 'end' and 'home' key to transport people? We need to recruit someone with a comprehensive knowledge of the internet. We will have to choose carefully if we don't want anyone to steal the idea, in fact I'm just about to contact the patent office. It's hard to know who to trust...I do believe we're on the threshold of a genuine breakthrough in travel technology. Just think.....we could travel anywhere at a moments notice...drop in on Spritz (how pleased she will be) at a moments notice....visit all our GOY friends in other Countries...the sky's the limit...in fact there will be no limit...........

21 Jun, 2010

I will give it some thought ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thats enough thinking for tonight.!!zzzzzzzz

21 Jun, 2010

You guys are a bunch of crackpots, I agree with Janey :o) LOL!
Thanks for all your handy tech tips guys lol
Try to reach 200 comments on the blog guys, I'll award you the Truffle award :o)

21 Jun, 2010

Glad you and Janey are in unison,Pip c,Yes we are,but very happy crackpots.Lol.Its being so cheerful,that keeps us going :o))

22 Jun, 2010

I've thought of contacting Dragons Den, what do you think Bloomer? Flori yoooohooooo are you with us? How much do you think we could ask for?

22 Jun, 2010

Here I am, Ba and Bloomer! Sorry, yesterday was a study day, my head full to overload with knowledge, as have our revision test tonight before the final exam next wednesday eve.(That's my knees you hear a-knocking!!!)
Well, Ba, what can I say?? You have been busy! I am so impressed~your thinking so far out of the box, that the box no longer in sight, not even a speck in the distance! LOL! Great idea about 'Home' and 'End', I've been playing with that too, so don't you worry, Bloomer, you are in good company my friend,hahaha!
Yep, Pip, Bloomer and I are totally barking, but still nice to know! As long as we take our meds we are allowed out in polite society for a few hours a week, Janey is an honourary member already, so fancy joining our rather elite club???
Hope you gave ol' Bill all my best when you met up, Bloomer, and could help him and his niggle out! :~))
Ba, am i right in thinking that you are working on a kind of transporter system, that could beam us up from our PC? Cool! I might just enjoy having my molecules scrambled, and then put back together~could I be a size 8 please???? Tee hee heee! :~))))))))))))))))))x

23 Jun, 2010

Good grief!! This little mini keyboard to the right is amazing...thank you ladies so much! I never used it either, but now I can't get my hand off it...it's stuck like glue to home, end, page-up and page down....I'm having to type all this with my left hand.....no...stop it....no give up!! Arrgh...there's another little keyboard further right...now what's that all about...nothing on mine works at all......come on Bloomer....I need lessons....lol! Oh, they're coming round with the tea trolley now......yes nurse...I will nurse....:o))

Transporter system? They're coming to take me away ha...ha....

23 Jun, 2010

Me too! isn't this so much fun..........just worked out that we all may be in the same institution Janey, what room number are you in? Mine's 38.......
Ooooooooooooh, I can hours of fun with this,up/down/home and end.......wonder what this one does if I press it..............hel!!!!!fhftyryertydhjgjkgdrgsdgrsdfj!

23 Jun, 2010

Flori,please put a cushion between your knees,so we don't hear them knocking,I'm trying to concentrate here.Lol.Bill Gates was useless,didn't even know about ..Home,End,page up or down...bit of a plonker,so told him to contact
Ba.
Janey..you have another bit of keyboard to the right ?.I haven't ..only bit I have is the floor :o) You are very upmarket aren't you?..Are you sure the tablets are working? must be a placebo....

23 Jun, 2010

I hope we are Flori........well mines 39......so it's your knees then I can hear knocking...I've been hiding under the bed, I thought someone wanted to be in! Loads off fluff and tissues under there....cough.....cough, now I've missed me tea!

Bloomer.....I'm wondering if I'm seeing things, I did lose my specs under the bed too......there is definitely another little keyboard on the right....how come you've just got floor.....are you sat crossed legged on the laminate tap tapping at your computer?? I've got space at the end of mine and floor 3 feet under that......what room are you in??

Well girls I shall be tiptoeing out later for a midnight feast seen as I missed me tea.....if I don't see you in the kitchen at 12, see you at breakfast.....:o))

23 Jun, 2010

If I'm ever over in England I must visit you all in the funny farm... sorry, I meant institution. You sound like three hopeless cases, but also appear to be well cared for. Does the institution have a ward for people who are crazy about stuffed toys? I might qualify for long-term care.

24 Jun, 2010

Titter Pip c.....totally hopeless I hope...if that makes sense....which it won't as nothing else has! Plenty of room for stuffed toy fanciers Pip....just depends what you are stuffing them with......miniature bottles, £20 notes, belgian chocs......mmmm......we''ll write your references.......:o))

24 Jun, 2010

Lol Janey, I've got a keyboard on the far right that doesn't appear to do anything as well. I envy you Bloomer....being able to sit cross legged. I'm glad I don't live in the same institution. I used to be an avid reader of detective novels, and it's obvious to me that your computer desk and your uselesslittlerighthandkeyboard (ulrhk for short) has been stolen without your noticing by a very clever useless object thief. Possibly someone carried away by the excitement of the up/down home/end keys....ring any bells??? Pip, you must be mad to even think of going there......oh, in that case......could be just the place:-) This has broken through the 150 barrier...will it be 200??? Do you think I've got nothing better to do??????;-)

24 Jun, 2010

Well,Flori,Janey and Ba,,and Pip,of course(but are you sure really want to join in all this intellectual banter?) Forgot to say my lapdog..oops sorry,Laptop is on a coffee table,or my knee,depending how the comfort factor is,and how long I am going to spend
on this machine ...so cushions all plumped up behind my back !!
Me,crossed legged on the floor.?? Is Elvis dead?You are silly...I am in room 40 if you want to ask the warden for the key,and pop round to inspect my missing right hand side.Lol.I've looked everywhere for it ,but nope,only have
Home,pgup,pgDn,End,......(a gap) and arrow pointing right..probably suggesting the extra bit is outside as pointing to back door.Probably planted it up in spring,..Nope,nothing growing yet,that looks remotely like a right hand bit...Where on earth can it be?answers on a postcard please...no prizes,as we are only allowed enough spending money,for silent knee knockers,bells with a muffler on,(not the scarf type,)...so fed up with that Flori's noisy knees.,sigh.I have a very fetching pink hairnet and matching rollers,..I suppose that would be a super prize,and very practical...

24 Jun, 2010

You didn't mention you have a laptop bloomer, don't feel deprived, but those of us with a pc do have a useless little keyboard that does nothing Ha! I'm sure you look delightful Bloomer, what about pink ear plugs to match...problem solved:-)

24 Jun, 2010

serves you right for not reading info going back to November last year,then..Lol....then you would have known...:o) So glad I have nothing to be concerned about,Ba,I can now stop wondering if it dropped off somewhere...I often drop off,..zzzzz...Pink earplugs? just the thing,sorry what did you say? I can't hear you ..!!!!

24 Jun, 2010

Now come on Bloomer.....time to tidy your room, theres a good girl.....you sure you haven't kicked it under the bed....I SAID IS IT UNDER THE BED!!

24 Jun, 2010

I specialise in toys stuffed with polyester, so I suppose I would be mercilessly rejected if I came near your institution, just because I wasn't pulling my load in the naughty edibles department.

25 Jun, 2010

Well, well ladies, I'm away from my keyboard for 24 hours, and look at what you all get up to!!! Janey, why have you put Fluff under your bed? She has only recently finished dangling out her window with her zoom, poor thing! Think you should get her out and dust her down, and find out if she located Bloomer's left end of her keyboard, (and there was I thinking you were such a lady, Bloomer, I am shocked that you are tapping on a Police constable instead, I hope he's wearing protection, those helmets do add a bit of height don't they, and echo quite nicely!)
I see that, Bloomer, you are only 2 doors (pg)up from me(or should that be (pg)down?), so almost room mates, and Janey inbetween us too, they are obviously keeping us all in the secure unit section~I wonder why???? Did I read it right that Elvis is alive and well, and wearing a pink hairnet and matching rollers, and sitting crosslegged on your coffee table, Bloomer, or am I just getting a little bit confused??????

Janey,that's morse code you can hear a-tapping, not my knees, so worry not, we are sending out an SUS,(or Save us Spritz), maybe we can all get day release in her care, and even have eggy bread with the lads from the RAF? Pip, we can always add another nut to our wonderful cause, so you'd be very welcome if ever over this way! As to the Polyester stuffing in the soft toys, well it will just confuse the guards, oops, I mean, nursing staff! I'm sure we can still smuggle in some bits and bobs, and they won't notice the clanking of the miniature bottles inside! Like the sound of the £20 notes too, come to think of it, but the chocs will just get very messy and gooey......

Ba, I've heard a whisper that they are reserving room 41 for you, and you'll be joining us any day now~we so look forward to it! They are just stocking your room with 'Whodunit?' books, and printing out wanted posters for the 'Uselessobjectthief' (UOT) for short, just to be on the safe side, as you never know who's out there!
Maybe, girls, if we all clubbed together, we could buy Bloomer her missing keyboard bit, plus a tube of Superglue to stick it on with!~what do you think? Would hate her feeling she's missing out on all the extra little keys!!!! LOL!

25 Jun, 2010

Words almost fail me Flori..it was the superglue that did it !! Thought it was that stuff for dry lips....they are now....Lol.You are completely bonkers,and as we are only halfway there,I think your cell..oops ,sorry,room,should be well and truly padded,with polyester wadding.I won't tell everybody what you are like,as my lips are sealed..and not through choice..Intravenous drip for me,I think....

25 Jun, 2010

Intravenous drip, Bloomer? Have we met him yet?Lol! You all stuck up? Never! Thought we should have got one of those nice nurses to apply the sticky stuff, but, hotdarnit, you just couldn't wait, so now you have a stiff upper, lower and any other way lip~just so pleased to see it hasn't affected your typing digit though~see~there's always a silver lining to every grey cloud!
I love my polyester padded room, and they say if I'm really good, I might get it upgraded to Draylon!!! :~))))))xTee hee hee!

26 Jun, 2010

I'll chip in five bucks for the superglue...

26 Jun, 2010

Lovely pictures Flori I am glad that you had a good time at Spritz's and OH's home. It looks a lovely place. :-)

26 Jun, 2010

Did Pip supply the polyester wadding? so kind of you Pip, hope you didn''t have to disembowel any of your stuffed toys, especially now she wants an upgrade, some people are never satisfied! Bloomer, I feel for you, an easy mistake. Richardpeeej you are the voice of sanity:-)

26 Jun, 2010

Yes, you may have,met him Flori,..in a way..surely you remember???and how did you know I used to type with one finger? I will have you know,I can now use the first digit on each hand and one thumb,occasionally.....Pip has now committed herself to complete insanity,I'm afraid.
We have been waiting for someone with a sense of decorum,Richard...If you know whats good for you,its best not to involve yourself...you will be on an ever downward spiral my friend...Lol.
Yes,Ba,Pip did supply the wadding,..thet cheap stuff from a far eastern land,
There was bits of birds nest material in it as well,left over from the soup making
..not nice.>>>and not talking feathers either ,which we would have deemed to be acceptable,from a comfy point of view...

26 Jun, 2010

Yuck :-{

26 Jun, 2010

Don't worry, I did not have to disembowel any toys, there was a special on stuffing at the local supermarket, the label said 'Ideal for people who like to bang their heads on the walls and require padded cells' and I thought of you guys straightaway.
And I bought the superglue (does anyone know where to find replacement computer keys?) so I had to figure out how to smuggle it into your institution. Flori, you are shortly to receive a parcel containing a new pair of Ugg boots, along with a note that reads 'here is a souvenir from our Aussie holiday, love, your friend Diane'. The superglue is under the woolly innersole of the left boot, OK?
It might not even be neccessary to smuggle it in... but I thought, funny farm staff always jump to silly conclusions don't they?

27 Jun, 2010

I am so glad I was informed about the 'Home' and 'End' keys, as it would have taken me forever to scroll down through all of these strange ramblings that keep being posted! I tell myself that I am doing a great service for the community by keeping certain loonies off the street and keeping them attached to their keyboards, I think I deserve a medal!! Yes, my fellow Goy Loons, I am back! Did you miss me?~don't answer that, rejection can be so hard to take, sob! :~((
Thanks for the 5 bucks, Pip, do we need to get them company? Will they travel ok from Aussie land to our green shores?What should I feed them? LOL!

Ba, it could have been worse, I might have wanted sequins and a glitter ball as well, but I'm not greedy, Draylon will be just fine for now! (No soft toys were disembowled during the writing of this blog~at least not by me! lol) The wadding was great, but just a bit itchy on the 'bear' bits!!

Rich~always my voice of sanity~think I'm going to post a warning on this blog, that anyone enters at their own risk, and abandon all hope yea all that do! Lovely to hear from you my friend :~))

How are the lips doing, Bloomer? Two digits and one thumb eh? Well I am mightily impressed at your amazing manual dexterity my dear friend, and what do you do for an encore, just out of curiousity? Tee hee hee!

Ba, I love your moustache by the way~it looks very Mexican!

Pip, I've got you room number 37, you'll be next to mine in the secure unit, I mean hospital! Look forward to the Uggs Diane,wink wink, nudge nudge!
How quickly you have slotted in with us fellow loons, and having an antipodean nut in with us gives us some street cred too~never bad for the Aussie/Poms solidarity front! I'm off back to my ward now...........Ha ha ha!!!!

28 Jun, 2010

I'll have to leave Oz before the Ashes, won't I? Then I can be nice and safe in my cell.. sorry, room.. before the British mount an anti-Antipodean front in November. Hang on - do you guys have TVs or is that another security risk???

29 Jun, 2010

The lips are much better,thanks Flori,but it was almost a surgical removal,as I tried to lick a stamp.....as you do..so my mail was delayed for a while..I was so annoyed,as it was a 1st class one too,..what a waste !! You really don't know what I do for an encore,but will "come out" now,and reveal that I am Ambidextrous !!(spelling?)
Think you are expecting too much,re TV,Pip.We are only allowed to watch "Coronation St", "Eastenders" and "The Bill"...on a good day,you don't want to know the rest.The Antipodean inmates have to watch "Neighbours" and " Home and Away".On a bad day,we ALL have to watch"Crocodile Dundee",and /or (we have a choice) listen to Rolf Harris...!!!.Are you sure you still want to come ??

Flori, how did you know I still have one? I cunningly grew some skin over it as a disguise:-( Bloomer, having seen the program choices I'm definitely not coming to stay, so you can be the one to tell Flori, though I do have a soft spot for Rolf....can you tell what it is yet?..............my brain 8~/

29 Jun, 2010

I hadn't noticed the moustache,Ba.shows what a good job you did Lol.Although I would have been a bit more tactful than some people...if you know who I mean !!!
You only have to watch them if you are good,,,so you will NEVER have to watch them.Lol.Still coming ?.You and Rolf will be in perfect Harmony then,..in your naughty corner together..and I don't want to know about your soft spot...really,you are going a bit too far now !!! Just find something to do,like practise on your Didgeridoo,or whatever you call it :o))

29 Jun, 2010

Ain't coming, not if I have to be naughty with Rolf:-)

29 Jun, 2010

Ok,...whatever...,spoilsport.!!!

29 Jun, 2010

Ashes? Rolf's Didgeridoo? Soft spots and naughty corners? That's a combination I would never have thought of putting together! Am glad to hear you now have loose lips, Ambi, (Ah, so you're not Bloomer at all) maybe you can play on Rolf's didgeridoo instead, 'less Pip is up for the challenge?
I might be wrong, but am I picking up just a slight resistance from Ba, to join us in our happy home? And we even have her room ready too! Boohoo! :~((((
Oooops, shouldn't I have mentioned the 'tash, Ba,? I thought it was very becoming myself........Tee hee hee! Am off for my meds now as I feel them wearing off and reality coming to the fore, and that would never do...... :~))x

30 Jun, 2010

CROCODILE DUNDEE! It only happens to be one of my most favourite movies! Hurry up and get me to the institution!!!!!!
Can't play a didgeridoo although a wobble board would be a lot easier to play and still a passable Rolf-esque music technique. Where can you get your hands on one?
And I appear to have room... was it 37?... booked for <moi>.....
are they getting it ready for me? Maybe we will find Bloomer's - sorry, Ambi's - missing computer key while cleaning.

1 Jul, 2010

Erm, what's Coronation Street?

1 Jul, 2010

You don't want to know Pip:-(

1 Jul, 2010

Come on,Ba,you know you love it!! for your information ,Pip,it is a series nearly as old as me,and goes on and on..and on,struggling to find a decent story line,and if they think it is a good one for the ratings,...it goes on ..and on and on.Bit like Neighbours,really,only not as sunny as Ramsey St.Lol.Oh,how I remember Kylie and Jason's wedding...(young daughter at the time,so had no choice but to watch it.)..secretly though,I quite liked it then...What a saddo,I was...you will note I said.. was !!!.You room no 37,is all ready and waiting ,Pip...Bring your own mattress,as the floor is a bit hard...,well,concrete usually is,...but otherwise ok..Only the walls are padded,for your comfort...See you soon.?...:o))) "Ambi"xx

1 Jul, 2010

Coronation street, didgeridoo, wobble boards.......another somewhat warped set of connections~you lot really don't need me to add my five pence worth in, you do brilliantly without me~now I know how Frankenstein felt!! LOL!
You could never be a saddo, 'Ambi', confused, bewildered, yes, but never a saddo my friend!
Shame on you telling poor Pip to bring her own matress!~what will she think of England?
Pip, they do supply a bed, yes, it is bolted to the floor, as is most of the furniture, so somewhat restricted if you fancied redesigning your room I must admit, lol!! Your soft toys will make great sound insulation when 'Ambi's' looking for the end of her keyboard, as she can be a little noisey at times~Janey and I are the quietest one's there come to think of it and Ba is still debating!!!!!! :~))

1 Jul, 2010

Don't you think I'm bad enough Flori? moving in there would push me over the edge and what a cheek saying Janey is noisy.. Does she have knocking knees? is she forever chomping on her nails? or coughing in a vain attempt to clear a lump from her throat? A case of pot calling kettle I think! I wonder if you could sue Pip over the lumpy throat? Why don't you try one of those 'no win no fee' jobbies that are always advertising on the telly? ahem...for a small consideration...I would be your witness, waddaya say?:-)

1 Jul, 2010

Oh Ba, Janey and I are the quietest one's there~it's that confused split personality Ambi/Bloomer who happens to be the noisey one looking for her missing bit of her pc keyboard, and muttering about superglue and lip gloss and 1st class lickable stamps! Janey is just quietly sat here disembowling Pip's soft toys, getting them ready for the miniatures, £20 notes and chocs(maybe it's Muddy's spare Galaxy!)
If you should come across that name calling pot being highly unPC to the poor kettle, let me know, and I'll be straight over! I want to be it's agent!
(Waddaya mean, push you over the edge? You are already way over the other side my friend........) :~))))))xxx

1 Jul, 2010

Well yes I have been the quiet one My friendly inmates...I've had no electric for a day and a half!!! No-one thought to check my room???? Talk about Lady Gaga..I've gone more gaga then I was before....and not even one soul came knocking, I was begging to hear Flori's knee music after a couple of hours!!

Now all's back to abnormal and I'm catching up with all your gossip.....the soft toys are ready and waiting to be filled with Pip's Belgian Chocs and bottles of the hard stuff she will be getting from Duty Free, in the corner is my Didgereedoo awaiting your experrt playing Pip....Rolf dropped it off after his stint at Glastonbury, in fact I hear he had a couple of nights here recuperation, slowly adjusting back to his senior status, and donated an incredible painting of Animal Hospital pets doing their own thing at Glastonbury, can't wait to see it, now my electrically locked padded door is open........now what's that music distantly playing down the dimly lit corridor.....TIE ME KANGEROO DOWN SPORT, TIE ME KANGEROO DOWN......steady on Rolfie, careful with your kangeroo...no gerroff!!!..............

1 Jul, 2010

Welcome back Janey! We just thought you had taken up deep navel fluff contemplation and getting in touch with the inner you, as well as preparing Pip's furry friends for such tempting goodies! Oops! Sorry!
We are passing Rolf's didgeeridoo onto 'Ambi', she of the flexible lips, and Pip is taking a crash course in Wobble Boarding over there in Oz. Hey, if we can include Rolfie, we might have us an antipodean band, and we can play in the basement, as they like music coming from 'down under', don't they?
As to Rolfie's 'roo, well I'm a bit bushwacked on that one Janey,'less we tie him down of course!(Rolf! Rolf! Leave Janey alone! She's traumatised enough already with Lady Gagagaga!) :~))))))x

1 Jul, 2010

Okay. I went and bought a new mattress today especially. I'm also going to smuggle in Bloomer's missing keyboard part - guess what - I found it on my jewellery shelf at home!! Maybe one of Ba's home/end transporting tricks went wrong.
Have finished my crash course in wobbleboarding and even tried a bit of didgeridoo, but I couldn't get the hang of it, maybe the Elvis on Bloomer's coffee table wants to try his hand at it :o)
Good to know you've ffinished disemboweling my toys, but where do we get the chocs from?

1 Jul, 2010

Sorry about that everyone, especially Bloomer/Ambi. BA Transport is in its infancy so there's bound to be the odd hiccup. Pip, you have a jewellery shelf? are you rich? would you like to invest in BA Transport (BAT) ? I've just noticed, when it's been going a while, it will be old BAT that's not very nice:-(
Elvis is there too? I always thought the people who said he never died were mad...it certainly makes you wonder....Thinking about chocs, doesn't GOY member David have a chocolate garden? Perhaps he has surplus come harvest time..just a thought. Janey, I think you've had enough of the hard stuff, leave Rolf alone, poor old soul was probably just wondering the corridors looking for his boomerang....Janey in negligee, having borrowed Bloomers lip gloss, standing provocatively in the doorway.. ..I can see it all. I suppose you were hoping to take your story to the papers, make your fortune, bring down Australias National treasure, SHAME ON YOU:-(

2 Jul, 2010

Well,girls,for once words fail me,.or maybe not..(grin).the thought of Janey in negligee,with MY lip gloss,is just too much to bear,especially awaiting the rampant Rolfie...has she no shame ?Who is that he is shuffling along with?..Why,its Jake the peg...with his wooden leg.!!! so glad he has brought his mate for Ba,..or Flori...or Pip....I've got my own,thank you very much,a lovely guy..and much more handsome.Can you guess who it is yet...?.No the name escapes me too,but the face is familiar..I will take my tablet first,and then it may come to me..is it ?..no that's not him.I really must sleep on it,night night ,everyone,night night.X

2 Jul, 2010

Has anyone realised, only 14 more comments and we're there, Yay!

3 Jul, 2010

Can't believe that we have got this blog this far and it is a month today since we went to Spritz's garden that started all this off!!!!!!!! For all our sanity, and for the love of Goy~let's see if we can those last 14 comments and then sit back and say this has been a job well done lol! I am having a hard job matching up with all the weird and wacky comments this blog has generated, I don't know about you lot, but oh this has been a lot of fun!! :~))))))))x

3 Jul, 2010

Flori,you have been reading my mind about bringing this to a close now,and I am going to try and lead it back to how we all started,with a love of gardening,especially Spritz's garden..so here goes....On my last comment,I said I couldn't remember the name of my handsome friend,and now I have had a good nights sleep..well.not so good really,as happens occasionally,I remembered.....It is Mr Bean !!!!!I bet you are all so jealous,Lol.He is,a very Green Bean,a bit of a broad Bean,and a very good runner!! A bit on the short side too,but don't really like to call him dwarf,..! Sometimes as a term of endearment,I call him Frenchy.!.Eat your hearts out ,girls...:o)

3 Jul, 2010

It has been great fun,Flori,Ba,Janey and Pip,and its amazing how one little comment can lead to another,well,a few more than that..Lol.My sanity may be restored ..for a while,and I may even celebrate with Eggy bread for breakfast tomorrow..much better than tablets..

3 Jul, 2010

That's it Rolfie you stay there....yes only a couple more toys to do......

Mr Bean Bloomer!!! Are you Mrs Bloomer Bean then??? Lol! He sounds delicious...do make sure he hasn't any black-fly though, black-fly, not black flies!!
Negligee...what's that in-mates?? Good old wincyette PJs do for me...yes nurse horlicks please......time for my beddybyes......there coming to take me away haha.............ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz........

3 Jul, 2010

Yes,my secret is out..Mrs Bloomer Bean I am...and all because he fancied an "Ambi" .Lol.Your winceyettes sound wonderful,Janey,hope the nurse has remembered to tie the sleeves across your chest,to prevent you struggling to break free...You are so lucky,as you have the only night attire that doubles as a straight Jacket...don't fight it anymore just go with the flow...its almost over now..9 more comments :o(((

3 Jul, 2010

Lol Bloomer!......anyhow how come your Bloomer and not Bloomers..now that's much more approp....approp.....well you know! I am lucky aren't I, and to be fed by nursey too......I have really enjoyed this girls, but my time-out has come to an end.....Time-out....now we could stuff those toys with them....mmmm.....

3 Jul, 2010

I go away for three days and look what you girls get up to.
I am not rich, jewellery shelf houses several bobby pins and plastic necklaces/brecelets/earrings/anything that I haven't put away. And come to that Australia has no national treasure... we're not that rich... so Janey you can burn that negligee.... NOW!
Good to know they are creative enough to make straightjackets out of anything at the institution and also they sound pretty well paid if they are prepared to feed Janey.
Hey guess what, move in day is tomorrow! Looks like I might only be with you for a few hours before the staff employ the patented '100 Comments Miracle Cure for Insanity' I heard a whisper about and we can all go home and be normal.
Only six comments to go all, then we officially get the award, now changed from 'Terratoonie' to.......... "Bornagain's flowerpot'!!!!!!!!
By the way please do not lead Rolfie's peg leg mate to my room. I'd sooner have a nice Aussie guy - who's within a decade of my age. I might even rope in a mate to masquerade as boyfriend. No Jake the pegs allowed in 37! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........................
Looks like we've all gotten a little lost in a little lost in Somerset. Still, isn't it good to stretch our insanity wings...... that's so bad isn't it LOL! I think I'm going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually I should say 'uncrazy' because crazy is normal so get ready.......
I'm going uncrazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

4 Jul, 2010

I see your 3 days away didn't do you much good,Pip,but you tried,OMG,how you tried.!! The good news..(for us,that is,not fellow GOYers)is that ALL the rooms we chose,have been double booked,and I don't think we want to stay in the economy ones,...no padded walls,stuffed toys definitely not allowed,or male visitors either !!! Whatever will Mr Bean,Rolfie,and Jake do now?They will be inconsolable....oh,and our deposits of 1 slice of Eggy bread each,are non returnable...What a liberty....If this is the kind of service they have,I think we are all far too good for this kind of Institution,girls...do you agree? So unfortunately,all our well laid plans have fallen by the wayside,it seems.I have taken it upon myself to cancel the Magic carpet,on your behalf,as we have no further need of transport...how very sad,..Its been great fun,though,and I for one didn't realise I was so "disturbed".Keep in touch,Flori,Ba,Janey and Pip,...and in the words of the song"we'll meet again,don't know where,don't know when"..probably a much better class of Institution.Lol.Over and out..See ya :o)))))) sob,sob.....

5 Jul, 2010

just a final gesture of my " appreciation" Flori,..for all your hard work,in starting this very educational and awe inspiring blog,..Thanks a lot.!!!! I think it is only right and proper,that you should have the 200th final comment,for your love of Spritz's Garden,,..she may NEVER show it again,or not allow you to visit either .Lol.xx

5 Jul, 2010

Hi all my fellow in-mates! Am just back in time to add my five penny's worth as we start to go into windown, on what must prove to be the longest list of posted comments ever on GoY! (Now you just watch someone prove me wrong!)lol!

Ambi/Bloomer~I couldn't have done this without you, you are an absolute official crackpot, and it has been a pleasure pitching wit with you my dear friend.......

Janey....If I remember rightly, this all started with your suggestion of a flying carpet...and it kind of just took off from there (lol) and the bad puns just followed in it's slipstream......you have so much to answer for, young lady! You have helped add continuous inspiration ever since~thank you....

Ba, you are just as loopy as the rest of us, and truly earned your place as totally nuts~you just keep working on the 'Home/End' keys, we expect great things from you in the new technological age yet to be~Bill Gates, watch this space!! You could make transportation problems a thing of the past.......

Pip, our youngest and most recent fellow nut....you have done us proud my antipodean friend~welcome to our exclusive looneytoons club, you have been a star~bless you! You and Rolf are welcome anytime, with or without your wobble board!!

Everyone of you that has added to this blog, when it first began, and after it deteriorated into the 'twilight zone', Thank You All, you have given a lot of smiles along the way, and that to me is the greatest gift one soul can share with another~and you all have all blessed me with more laughter and smiles than I could ever believe! Let's get this to the 200 comments, and be proud of what we have all achieved between us~you wonderful Goyers Rock!!! :~)))))X

5 Jul, 2010

Hmmm...all crazy, but never mind. My garden has a lot to answer for in all this! Maybe I'd better get the concrete mixer out....???

5 Jul, 2010

I suppose it's my turn, 199th comment and yes Spritz it's all your fault, but PLEEEEASE don't concrete over, they may use it a a landing strip for the carpet and move in with you........and it's me who's moving in with you, not them. they're doolally and I'm not:-p.

5 Jul, 2010

I've got to no. 200!!!!! YAYY!!

OH would love to concrete the grass, so he doesn't have to cut it!

I promise I won't let him - and your tea's ready. Tsk, tsk. Late again! :-((

5 Jul, 2010

I keep pressing 'end', but nothing's happening, perhaps B.A.Travel needs more work:-) (Only makes sense if you read all the comments lol)

5 Jul, 2010

Lol....just look what your garden has inspired Barbara.........now that's a thought...if you get fed up with too much gardening you can create us our own Spritzhenry's home for bewildered Goyers...can you imagine how fab that would be......can I put my name down first....:o)))

Really enjoyed it Flori....love your wit, long may it continue....:o))

5 Jul, 2010

Iv'e lost the will to live...Just "log off,"Ba,,..you thought it was all over...it is now :o))))))..but are we really sure of that??????

5 Jul, 2010

'Spose I should add the last comment......thank you all, but especially Spritz, cos if it hadn't been for the paradise I found in her garden, this blog would never have been written! I feel truly sorry for any curious Goys reading this amazing blog from start to finish~you deserve a medal!

Thank you all, you know who you are, for joining in and making this the most fun I've ever had on a computer, (at least legally lol!), everyone of you is truly special, truly humourous and totally barking, and you each have a special place in (the Institution just down the road from me~don't worry, I've put a good word in for you! Tee hee hee! See you there!) I bid you all Goodnight! This is Flori, signing off........ :~))))))))X

6 Jul, 2010

Well, I must also say my goodbyes, I am feeling very sad because I never made it to the institution - although I think I was definitely there anyway! It's been so lovely to interact with all you crackpots. I hope we shall meet again. As my last official Somerset duty, I award Floribunda with the 'Truffle' award for 200 comments. Use it wisely! This is Pip, signing off.

13 Aug, 2010

lol bloomer dont need to wish it on me am already crackers, in fact my granddaughter calls me crazy nana( ment in a nice way lol!!!!!!! i think ) ;0))))

13 Aug, 2010

Didn't think I would be posting back on this blog, after all this time, but Cris, you have earned yourself a medal for getting through all our wonderful, silly, light hearted ramblings, we had so much fun on here, it was kind of our prototype for Ba's Tom Duck blog....I never thought it could be repeated, but being the Goyers we are, we womanfully rose to the challenge.....!! :~)))
Great to see you back here ,Bloomer, back to our youthful innocent days of witty quips and playful banter~I still swear it was all that Janey's fault and her suggestion of a flying magic carpets.......it all went kind of downhill from there if I recall....LOL!!!

13 Aug, 2010

Lol Flori! Still reading....with the bi-focals or tri-vocals, of course......haven't escaped me yet,,,;o)) Have you seen our new addition....a baby JR and she is training us very well....:o)

14 Aug, 2010

Oops! Hi Janey! How wonderful to find you back on our old blog that became such a flagship for other weird and wonderful blogs....oh boy, didn't we have some fun doing this....? LOL! I swear I cracked a rib or two laughing at how we could out best each other in sparkling wit.....so many smiles went into this, and it was all thanks to Spritz's Open day~oh how that takes me back!
How is beautiful Lottie doing? Yes, although I am still trailing miles behind, have tried really hard to catch up on all my Favourites blogs, and 'Little Lottie' has captured my heart~bet you can really see her character coming out in her every day now, and that she is giving cause to many smiles! lol :~))
My 'lad' would love her I know! Great to see you back on our old stomping ground my dear friend.... :~)))))))))xxx

14 Aug, 2010

I've just been looking at Lottie pics....I'm in love:-)

15 Aug, 2010

Isn't she just adorable, Ba? Sounds she is going to have quite a character, mind you, as all of us JR owners know, when don't they??LOL! :~))

15 Aug, 2010

Well done Cristina for making it :o)

16 Aug, 2010

Yes, Flori, we know! WE KNOW!

16 Aug, 2010

You really should write a blog on poor Nobby, Pip, his memory lives on, even if it only in the trama he caused! lol!

16 Aug, 2010

Maybe, but you have heard it all before haven't you, Flori!

17 Aug, 2010

I bet there are a few JR owner's who would appreciate the giggle! I know that I certainly did! lol!

17 Aug, 2010

Okay, will see what I can do!

17 Aug, 2010

Lol Girls!....what have I been missing??? Paws over ears Lottie....I need to hear this tale of your forbears.....now do I or don't I......indecision reigns again....oh for a little stint in that nice place we talked of.....:o))

17 Aug, 2010

Should I be worried that you may never look at little Lottie in the same light again, Janey?~it's a tale that makes the most stout hearted quake...with laughter, and really could only ever happen with a Jack Russel....Over to you our Pip, the floor is yours....lol! {Ps , Janey, I still have our rooms reserved in that nice big house with the secure doors!)LOL!

17 Aug, 2010

Can't wait to hear it Pip, I need to know what I've let myself in for...:o)) Oh good Flori.....shall be prepared with a few bottles of wine...sounds like heaven...:o)

17 Aug, 2010

I found it Flori and I've read it, ALL of it. Taken me about an hour of and on looking busy in between. I'm speechless!
Ps Spritz's garden looks so lovely and your photos are wonderful, lucky you to be able to get there :-))))

18 Aug, 2010

Annella, you and Cristina are amazing to have actually read this blog from start to finish, you both deserve medals/therapy! It has been so much fun, and totally off the wall, but we did get some excellent giggles out of it! See what I mean about it all being Janey's fault? Her and her idea of magic flying carpets! LOL!
(Janey, it was inspirational, lol!)
Yes, at the beginning of this blog, there had actually been a sensible reason for it, and that was Spritz's incredible garden~I could only show a small snapshot here as to how beautiful it really was, but I am glad you got to see it. Thank you for your kind words on my photos, but I feel I have hardly done it justice!!

(Has speech and thought patterns returned to normal yet????) :~))))

18 Aug, 2010

The speech is ok but it's hard to tell about the thought patterns ;-)))

18 Aug, 2010

Well, if I'm honest....I did wonder about that! Tee hee hee! :~)))

18 Aug, 2010

We can just thank Spritz for everything, I think! I'm forever grateful to you, Flori, for doing the blog and letting us do the rest! And thank you, Janey, for starting it all off! I'm only regretting not joining in the convo earlier :o)))

19 Aug, 2010

Hey! Don't blame me for all this! LOL.

19 Aug, 2010

Sorry Spritz, it was Your Open Day, at Your Garden that started all this~this other mad lot just picked up the baton and ran with it, I was almost just the innocent bystander in all of this.....(yeah right!) LOL!

You might have been spared a little of the loopiness that invaded this blog, Pip, but you were soon as nutty as the rest of us~there's no hope for you my girl! :~))

19 Aug, 2010

No, no hope. I couldn't be more tickled about it!!!

20 Aug, 2010

LOL, Pip! x

20 Aug, 2010

And who was it that wrote the blog, then, Flori??? LOL.

20 Aug, 2010

Listen to Spritz Flori....Nah nah na nah na..

20 Aug, 2010

Ok, ok, I put my hands up! I wrote the blog, but my bit was sensible to start off with.....can I help it if it was hi-jacked?? M'lord, I was innocent, I swear!!! LOL! I didn't invite the loonys.....(but I'm awful glad that they joined in!) Tee hee hee! :~))

Annella, you'll be back in the naughty corner again......you youngsters, honestly!

20 Aug, 2010

You were hi-jacked by a flying carpet on its way to the No-Fly Zone, I seem to remember!

21 Aug, 2010

Youngsters? Another compliment I will gratefully accept, but I'm not going back in the naughty corner! You left me there for nearly two days without a care..

21 Aug, 2010

Well folks,I have now emerged from deep meditation...and medication,and I can honestly say it has done me no good at all....I have been in absolute turmoil,thinking,'should I try and put all this behind me,and pretending it has all been a bad dream'....but the .magnetic madness of HER who started this,is drawing me back in to the depths of insanity.So,it looks like the addiction is impossible to cure,so guess its go with the flow again....there,I'm feeling better already..:o)))

21 Aug, 2010

Did you have a nice time Bloomer? Even with the bad dreams...

21 Aug, 2010

Can't remember Annella...Lol. probably...:o)

21 Aug, 2010

Cool :-)))

21 Aug, 2010

Sweet :o)

22 Aug, 2010

This one is running and running! Whatever next? lol.

Surreal. ;-X

22 Aug, 2010

We all thought that would be the end at 200, Spritz, but evidently not, ah well!

22 Aug, 2010

Well.....we could have another magic carpet trip.......all filled up and ready to go...:o)))

22 Aug, 2010

Free on Thursdays.... we'd better go then.

22 Aug, 2010

OK. See you then! :-)))

22 Aug, 2010

The 'Flow' has returned! Oops, sorry, that was suppose to be the 'Flo' has returned....and glad to see the usual bunch of reprobates still gathering in the same place~where anarchy rules ok!

Bloomer, magnectic madness of HER? I don't know if I've been complimented or insulted by that! But I am glad to see you again, life just isn't the same without your sparkling wit and repartee!
Annella, I did look for you, but you said a cupboard originally, and I turned all those out and couldn't locate you, so thought Pip had Batted over from Oz and the yellow brick road, and taken you out! HONEST! Would I tell porkie pies to you???
Thanks for the reminder Pip, about the start of this madness, you can remember that far back??? I am impressed! lol! (How's Toto?)
Janey....are you mad, woman? that's what started it all in the first place....(Book me a space please, though Ba is not going to be impressed that we are not travelling by BAT.Com!)
Spritz, and there was I thinking you were the sensible one out of all of us!
Surreal doesn't even cover this my dear friend....I don't think they have invented the word for what this is yet....The Flo is back in the house, Ladies!

22 Aug, 2010

Way-hay and off we go again! Let the madness continue. $;-)))))

Note the bandage round the brain to keep a cool head for your arrival!

22 Aug, 2010

Just what are you saying Spritz? I thought you did that to ease headaches....oh, maybe that's what you were referring too.... :~((((

22 Aug, 2010

What's this??? as soon as my back is turned....have you forgotten you are all board members of Bat?? Is Janey offering higher pay?? Magic carpets are so yesterday, surely you all realise that? and I might add dangerous. True you get to see more if you have a head for heights, but think of the time saved using BATravel. One press of the 'end' = journeys end....one press of 'home' and you're home...what could be simpler? Janey, I'm making a hostile bid for Magic Carpets Inc and I'm sure there's a law about trying to tempt staff away from wonderful companies....I'm going to google it now!

22 Aug, 2010

Oh hi there Ba! Don't be silly, we are still all behind the Batty company, as you can see all too easily with this blog! But you must remember that it was Janey who first came up with the ide of travel, you cleverly saw a gap in your keyboard, and hence you modified the original concept....brilliant strategy by the way, if I may say so! (Any chance of promotion, by the way??Oh well, just thought I'd ask!) :~)) Look at Janey's idea of more of a sideline to the company, she does the fair weather sight seeing tours...you two could make a great team, but am worried just what will happen if you just trade nasty insults at each other...oh so you didn't mean That type of hostile bid?...oh well spud guns at dawn then....lol

22 Aug, 2010

I always wanted to be a 'Trolley Dolley' and I ended up in accounts(good money but dull) I don't mind which company I work for if any ones employing.
Can send CV ASAP :-))))

22 Aug, 2010

I'll look at it Annella, but I can't promise anything we're a small company, ..ahem..still trying to get off the ground...ahem.. hilarious play on words there what. Perhaps M.C.Inc would like to join forces with B.A.Travel?? then I won't have to be hostile. How say you Janey? :-)

22 Aug, 2010

Ha...ha..........Come on Ba, I'll let you pay me an extortionate sum and we can merge......Bat travel will be the umbrella company, Magic carpet...now renamed Vintage flights will take the more discerning clientelle for mystery tours, whilst enjoying champagne lunches at michelin star level, and meeting the needs of the more mature traveller. Now what has Batty travel to offer.....:o))

22 Aug, 2010

Find out what Janey has to say and come back to me.
I should warn you though that my sense of balance seems to go after 8.30, I think it's the drink but It means I can't do late nights on the carpet run. Hope this is ok because I would really like a change of career.
Look forward to your reply

Annella.

Ps I look good in dark colours, you may want to consider this for the uniform.

22 Aug, 2010

Was just wondering if we needed a longer run up to our keyboards, Ba? It might get us airborne quicker~I've got some Landing Lights, so that should be ok....
Are we now doing umbrellas, Janey? Is that just for light showers, not much good in windy conditions, though Mary Poppins seemed to do ok come to think of it...Annella,you need to add more water to it....didn't think Janey was doing late night haul trips on Runners, so you should be ok, there shouldn't be any underlay stopovers either. Fluorescent orange jumpsuit uniform not for you then??

22 Aug, 2010

Orange is a no no for me Flori :-))) Fluro pink...maybe

22 Aug, 2010

Of course I don't remember that far back, Flori... I've been catching up on my reading... lol. Have never read the first bit, so was doing it the other day - very funny!!!
Definitely not orange uniform - I look hideous in orange. Look out Spritz!!! Soon you will see us, floating over the Nuclear war zone on our BAT carpets, umbrellas in hand, trying to keep Annella from falling off..LOL

22 Aug, 2010

I suppose I asked for that Pip :-))

23 Aug, 2010

Excuse me - I don't 'do' landing lights - just watch out that you don't land in the stream - we've had some rain at last, you know! I suggest careful navigation - or added life rafts, dending on the accuracy of who's steering.

Any ETA yet?

23 Aug, 2010

It had better not be Annella then Spritz! Janey, I like the sound of your offer, as long as it's all under the BAT umbrella. I also love the sound of your vintage flights, but could you possibly reduce the age range as I'm one of Bloomers trendy young things (Btyt's) and would hate to miss out on the champagne lunches, plus I'm very discerning:-) Sprtitz, I just noticed your strange spelling of tea, was that an aside to your OH? and not a please or thankyou tut:-)

23 Aug, 2010

Just noticed my strange spelling of Spritz lol:-)

23 Aug, 2010

Don't worry BA, I never drive under the Influence, having said that I'm not sure which one of you I would trust to the job. We may have to advertise for a sensible GOY member..
I like your spelling mistake :-)))

23 Aug, 2010

Ba, you must put more water in yours too. with all these strange typo's, or is it? Could it really be a secret code that is passing on vital messagers....? The plot thickens!! Are you and Spritz in this together? Is there a plot afoot??? Da da da! Tee hee hee!! :~))

23 Aug, 2010

Not sure I do - 'PLEASE' edit it at once! 'THANK YOU'...LOL.

Champagne? Are you proposing to bring your own, then? We're OAPs, you do realise? :-(((

Love from Sxpitfrz. xx

23 Aug, 2010

Hello Annella! Sensible GoY member? They would run a mile once they had seen this blog....At least we keep most of the nuttier ones in the same place...Pete and Ajay should be delighted about that!! :~))

23 Aug, 2010

By the way, Flori -if you don't 'get' the inner meaning of the 'politeness' bit, I am running a campaign to improve the general respect on a certain other page on GOY...watch this space!

23 Aug, 2010

There's a lot of champagne quaffing going on here ;-)))
Stop slurring everyone !!!!!!!

23 Aug, 2010

Shbytthhs??

23 Aug, 2010

Oh absolutely !

23 Aug, 2010

LOL.

23 Aug, 2010

Hello Louise! Becareful hanging about on this page, it can prove all to detrimental as Annella has found out....once you have joined us you are a lost cause...Spritz, all I can say is that must be strong tea you are imbiding over there....lol!

23 Aug, 2010

Hic!

23 Aug, 2010

Coffee, coffee...that's why. On top of anti-bs it has a strange effect. Did you see the 12 orange birds with purple beaks flying in formation just now? I did. I know it's not the carpet yet!

23 Aug, 2010

No I must have missed them, but I did see the pink elephants heading your way,Spritz....that coffee...must be good stuff! LOL!

23 Aug, 2010

LOL. I'll have some brewing for your arrival, Flori. ;-)

23 Aug, 2010

Have just got to navigate my way around the purple spotted Zebras, and I will be there Spritz!!!.....

23 Aug, 2010

Oh dear, that's before she's had any of the coffee....

23 Aug, 2010

23 Aug, 2010

Yikes!.....look what I've missed having an early night with me ovaltine and tabs!!
Sexpotfrizz is booking to go to Antibes, where de cafes are serving de champagne lunches, while de 12 orange birds wid der purple beaks are doing der cabaret act????? Purple spotted zebras are dancing the can-can...... Annella and Louise dressed in safe navy blue are flying in on Vintage Tours...one hand on their trolleys, the other holding umbrellas keeping the passengers dry..........arrggghhh....I'm a GOY member...GET ME OUTAHERE!!!!!

23 Aug, 2010

LOL !!!!!

23 Aug, 2010

It's way toooooo late for you to escape now, Janey, you are a fully paid up member of the NGC now or ( Nutty Goy Club,) as of this last entry, girl!! LOL!
Der plan is de good one, but think der birds might be de-winging it, and der Zebras are just der hoofers, struggling more along de lines of de can't can't rather than de can-can, so de-cabaret could be a de-saster~emergency back up plans de needed desperatly! :~)))))))))x (And I'm de sane one!)X

23 Aug, 2010

Are you teaching us the code Flori? me no comprehend, has Spritz gone over too? is she joined by Louise? Is it a virus? EEK could it infect BAT, sort of clog up the workings? could it cause the crash of B.A.Travel as we depend so much, in fact totally, on new technology? We must have an emergency board meeting, say nothing to Janey, just in case she wants to pull out. Bloomer you bring the nibbles:-{0 Oh Nooo my moustache has grown back, must be all this stress. It's no fun being the boss of a Worldwide Company:-{)

23 Aug, 2010

23 Aug, 2010

I've always known how to do it~~~~~~~~~~~ Ha.

23 Aug, 2010

Ba and Annella, you two can be our new comedic star turn~Panic over Janey, the cabaret's back on, a little sheepish perhaps, but we now have 'BAA', Well that's if we can ever stop them playing with the ~~~~~~key. I think mine must be faulty, cos when I press it, it doesn't do a Wheeeeee at the end like Annella's!
By the way, Annella, you missed out on my other wonderful points, such as Delightful, debonair,deductive, delectational, demonstrative, yet demure, dependable and devotional....and that's just for starters kid! :~)))))))x LOL!

23 Aug, 2010

23 Aug, 2010

I used to have two King Charles spaniels, they would wag their tails so much when I came home from work they looked like they would fall over and there was always the small inevitable accident. I used to go home twice a day! Excitable little dogs and dearly missed :-))

23 Aug, 2010

Yippee..the 300th comment..I think....which award is Flori getting?????

23 Aug, 2010

I'm dissapointed with Flori on her big night, I can multi-task....what's wrong with the women?

23 Aug, 2010

24 Aug, 2010

I'm back! Sorry, how did I miss my own award night?? Am devastated! Was being a little distracted elsewhere!
Thank you dear Pip, for the slightly sloshed award ceremony, I receive my 'Conker' award with great pride and utter humbleness....Can I thank Goy for allowing me the privilege of taking part, and my mum and dad, and my Raffles, who has been no help whatsoever, all the many and varied loons on here, that have made this stupendous blog what it is to this day......(Whaddiya mean, everybody has logged off? I've got another 276 people to thank yet...what are you doing with that wooden crook.....where are you taking me.....ahhhhhhhhhhh!) LOL

24 Aug, 2010

Glad to hear it....when can we visit?

24 Aug, 2010

If half of my Goy friends turned up to visit me, they wouldn't be allowed back out into normal society...Spritz...not that I am saying that about you....until we had the 12 orange birds with purple beaks, flying in formation bit, I would have considered you perfectly rational...now I'm not so sure........ lol! Those antib's and caffine have a lot to answer for my friend!!!! :~)))x

24 Aug, 2010

They do indeed! :-((((

24 Aug, 2010

24 Aug, 2010

Oh no Flori do they give you those at the clinic, never mind just remember that people pay for colonic irrigation, It's sort of like a beauty treatment :-))

24 Aug, 2010

Well, I wasn't actually thinking in partaking in that Annella, I have a dozen better uses of a hose than that! Ouch, makes my eyes water just thinking about it!!!

24 Aug, 2010

Don't worry Flori... I'm your friend :o) Although I probably need to become your housemate....

24 Aug, 2010

Shucks! Thank you Pip, I'm sure that was some kind of antipodean compliment...I think! :~))))))X

24 Aug, 2010

25 Aug, 2010

I dare say she will get her own back on me, she usually does! lol! Guess unless we are up late, it must be hard for our Pip to join in when we are all tucked up into our beds.....Mind you, saying that, she does hold her own,lol! :~)))

25 Aug, 2010

I said goodnight and goodmorning to her the next day this week.I get bored when I'm at work because everyone is off gardening, It must be worse for Pip, hours and hours of no sensible convo while we are all sleep :-(((( ZZZZZZZZZ

25 Aug, 2010

25 Aug, 2010

I know but it's so true, why else would she come here every night..bless her:-)

25 Aug, 2010

It's because of the great company, what else, Annella?? Our sparkling wit keeps her in stitches on that side of the Pond..... :~))

25 Aug, 2010

Pretty much what I was trying to say Flori :-)))

25 Aug, 2010

Oh? I thought you were referring to intellectual discussion, and that definitely isn't in our usual blogs, Annella, am so glad that you and I agree....Pip, should be on soon...WE MISS YOU PIP! :~))x

25 Aug, 2010

I'm confused I thought this was intellectual Flori, derrrr

25 Aug, 2010

You're welcome Flori, Sweet dreams!

25 Aug, 2010

Hey everyone, you know how nice and kind our Flori is....well...I've had what I think is a lovely idea.....Lets campaign to have a rose named after her! This, as I know you will all agree, would surely be a fitting accolade:-)

26 Aug, 2010

What a brilliant idea Ba,..now why didn't we think of that before....maybe something connected with her name..erm,lets think........wonder if there is a Flori something????Oh,and as we have a pic of her,what about dog something??? Iv'e heard she is a bit of a rambler,according to some of her friends......so much choice,what had you in mind,Ba ?

26 Aug, 2010

Well thank you ladies, and I use that term lightly! Oh how sweet, I'm welling up here all over my keyboard.....Is there a rose out there called 'Bev', then, just out of curiousity??? LOL!

26 Aug, 2010

Oh,you mean a proper name then?...well,put like that,we may have to shop around...don't you fancy Dog ?..:o))

26 Aug, 2010

Don't even go there lady! That is way too much ammunition for the others to have against me.....LOL! x

26 Aug, 2010

There's already a dog rose so your out of luck Flori, would have been apt though :-))))))

26 Aug, 2010

Ok Flori,just a thought...now,back to Bev then....could be a while,will have to ask David Austen...

26 Aug, 2010

Ah, a dog rose perhaps, but I bet it's not called 'Raffles'! I can't be just ANY dog rose I'll have you know lol! (Hope your head is better, Annella)..... :~)))))x

26 Aug, 2010

I could easily be found anywhere serving drinks! lol!

26 Aug, 2010

Bar maid rose??? No I don't like the sound of that, the wench rose? Naaaaah
Busty Bev, Oooooh maybe, come on Flori am I close to it??? Hold on it's not 'Trolley Dolly' is it ?????????????

26 Aug, 2010

Raffles????

26 Aug, 2010

Welling up all over the keyboard Flori? Sound like another medical ailment you'll have to combat. How's you're lumpy knees, your knocking eyes and your watering throat? lol
Busty Bev! Now that's a good one. Tee hee. Now we can all make cracks about Flori's age - how about Baby Bev?

27 Aug, 2010

I was thinking about ta da .....Rosa Floribunda!!!! whadya think? Genius or what?:-)

27 Aug, 2010

I was actually thinking 'Beverage,' just shows where your minds dwell,honestly, just what kind of motley crew do I associate with??? lol! Raffles is my avatar mutt, Annella, do keep up!! lol. I am the eternal youth, Pippin, might be a bit rusty on the outside, but overflowing with youthful joi de vie on the inside, my cup runneth over.....
Ba....I am speechless....What genius! What creativity! What inspiration! (Are you SURE it hasn't been done before??) LOL! :~)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))x

27 Aug, 2010

Ooooooh Noooooooo:-[

27 Aug, 2010

Does that mean back to the drawing board then my friend???? :~))x

27 Aug, 2010

I think 'Rosa Raffles' has a nice ring to it, I know it's your pooch Flori but it sounds better than 'Rosa Busty Beverlisious Bevy' :-)))

27 Aug, 2010

Oh I wondered where you had gone, Annella, good to see you back! :~)) Only you could come up with 'Rosa triple B', and yes 'R. Raffles' sounds perfect, even if he is a 'Dog' Rose!!! What would I do without you...? Well.....lol! :~)))x

27 Aug, 2010

So ,my friend,which one is it to be ?shall we stick with Ba's idea.? It is so blatantly obvious,it's pure genius !!!!!!...Only a TYT would think of that...oops, that doesn't look right...I mean ATYT.....or so she keeps telling us Lol.

27 Aug, 2010

I didn't know you already had a rose named after you Flori:-(

27 Aug, 2010

It's another trick Flori and it will most probably me that falls in the hole.....again
Like your comment bloomer, can't understand why you changed it?? :-)))

27 Aug, 2010

Lol,Annella...:o)))))))))))))

27 Aug, 2010

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Tee hee hee & Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee
27 Aug, 2010
I'm a bit worried about R. Raffles - See there is a flower called Rafflesia... it's the biggest single flower in the world and it stinks like rotten meat. Not the sort of impression we want to associate with our dear little Jack eh???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

27 Aug, 2010

I see 'Raffles' as being a lightly scented rose myself, definatly a double, infact a frilly rose.... I'm sure the real 'Raff' smells on occasions as my dogs did, getting wet, upset bowels. rolling in dead chickens(that really did happen) but this ,I think is the BEST name for your rose Flori :-)))))) A little support would be appreceiated.....

27 Aug, 2010

You've got it from downunder anyway :o)))

27 Aug, 2010

Thanks Pip, I'm already doing better than our goverments :-)))))))

27 Aug, 2010

LOL definitely less confused that our government!

27 Aug, 2010

I meant ours too hun, I'm sure I could do a better job!!! And I am thinking of standing for local stuff in the next couple of years...... Pretty much the same as we talk about on here, just not so clever LOL :-)))))

27 Aug, 2010

What's confused about your government?

27 Aug, 2010

What do you mean Pip, Cameron and his liberal deputy....sorry I can't remember his name right now.....

28 Aug, 2010

Well, girls, now I am torn...I should give Ba the honour really, as She was the one who thought of naming a rose after moi, after all...and all those nice comments she made about me, and there was only a little money greasing her palm...Can I be part of a Genus, and have hybrids named after me too? That way, I can please you both....? :~)))Oh, it's so tough being so popular!!! hahaha!

28 Aug, 2010

Rosa' Busty Beverly' it is then :-)))))))

28 Aug, 2010

That's a good idea Flori, you could be Rosa beverlii and have all sorts of varieties like 'Raffles' and 'Busty'...

28 Aug, 2010

I've already mentioned 'Bevalisious'

28 Aug, 2010

Good one...but spell it with a c... 'Bevalicious' :o)

28 Aug, 2010

I'm tired now Pip, still having the migrains, It has taken two goes at most things I've typed tonight, but you are right she is 'Bevalicious'....Speak tomoz hun...pm or am :-))))))))

28 Aug, 2010

Right then... goodnight Annella... go to bed now love....

28 Aug, 2010

28 Aug, 2010

The later it gets the crazier we become!!!

28 Aug, 2010

Don't blame the hour:-)

28 Aug, 2010

Just popped in after a spell away - I have been reading all the posts since I posted last. You are all a barrel of laughs...ha ha..... and definitely one crazy bunch...lol!
I can see I will have to get my new hosepipe out and give you all a good dampin' down......hee hee !
Only a couple more comments and Flori will have reached 400! bring out the wine bottle ...lol ;-)))

28 Aug, 2010

Come on friends just one more comment and Flori will get 400 comments and a new certificate.. what will the certificate be called?....any suggestions?

28 Aug, 2010

400 ;o))))
Flori, I have great pleasure in awarding you with the first ever 'Crocus' Award, for over 400 comments on a blog or photo. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never thought I'd see the day, I mean, we all said we'd stop at 200 didn't we... sigh.

29 Aug, 2010

I've started to wonder if it's allowed, is it a bit like vote rigging? Can we be flagged? Should we speak in code, something like the 'rose code'? then it would appear that each comment was about gardening. Any ideas??:-)

29 Aug, 2010

Its a bit wet to go into the garden today Ba so...Congratulations Flori on your 'Crocus' award. You have a very popular blog here my friend.Well done Pip for naming said award.

29 Aug, 2010

Congrats Flori......400 crazy comments....you have been well and truly certified!!...:o))

29 Aug, 2010

Congrats from me too Flori!!!! Hip hip hooray :-))))
I think the 'rose code' might be a good idea Ba, they are going to come for us soon.....our comments could become 'Blackspots' in their eyes..

29 Aug, 2010

She's missed out on her own awards night again ;o))

30 Aug, 2010

Only because she is running around in an ecstatic frenzy,Pip,and she want to appear cool,calm and collected,on being given this prestigious award....Probably counting to a hundred first,and then she will make a grand appearance..Lol.Come on ,Flori,you know you want to :o))))))))))))))))))))).

30 Aug, 2010

Tee hee Bloomer... Lol. ....65, 66, 67, 68.....

31 Aug, 2010

I hope we've got a pic of that Bloomer lol;-) She's probably pretending to be shy and unassuming...like she's not gonna grab it with both hands. Yoo hooo Floriiiiii:-)

31 Aug, 2010

3333,34,35,36.........She's really playing it cool, I don't know why we bother girls..

31 Aug, 2010

Flori... we are all missing you .... ;-)

31 Aug, 2010

Has anyone heard from Flori? Maybe the fame has gone to her head...........

31 Aug, 2010

Has she gone off us? is it something we said..?..69,70,71....surely not.!!

31 Aug, 2010

Hello there my little Florilettes! Yes, I am here, back from the wilderness~am so glad to see that I was missed!!! My 400 comment award was sooooo appreciated Pip, that I became quite overcome with emotion and started welling up again, and as you all know, that along with all me other dodgy ailments, rendered me speechless, and they had to put me under supervisory care....and no-one came to visit, so there was I all alone in my nice padded room, and the world had forsaken me......it just breaks your heart, doesn't it....? (Stop sniggering Pip and Annella!)
Thank you for my official certification Janey, there are many who would say I was certifiably nuts a long time ago, so this just puts it in the official recognition award scheme....LOL! I can't believe you all missed me so much!!! I am so touched and overwhelmed.....(Oh hang on, that's part of my acceptance speech),
What is this I hear about our Rich having to get his new hosepipe out and hose you all down....Just what have I been missing.......???????????????????????
Ba, Bloomer, you are going to have to update me....I'm CONFUSED of Wiltshire!!

31 Aug, 2010

Hi,Confused of Wiltshire,,,glad to have you back..of course we would have visited,but as you just swanned off without telling anyone..????.anyway,just remember,we need to know where you are at all times...its part of the parole regulations.!!

31 Aug, 2010

Swanned Off? Bloomer, I was abducted! There was I sat all welling up, and a van pulls up from GoY, and two( rather tasty guys actually), bundled me up in one of those rather useful white jackets with the long strings attached, and took me away! I did ask Raffles to go for help, but Lassie he is not, he just sat there nibbling his nether regions! Think I might have to be fitted with one of those beacons! LOL! :~)))

31 Aug, 2010

Good idea,Flori..I really didn't want to know about Raffles and his sexual preferences...but dogs will be dogs...Lol..He wasn't too concerned about you being abducted ,by the sound of it...and you looking after him so well too.....they just don't care,do they??:o)))

31 Aug, 2010

Nice to hear that even under pressure you were still eyeing up the men Flori but as Bloomer pointed out, it would be nice to know when you are going. Show Raff how to type woof so he can give us a sign in future, Oh and if he licks the keyboard remember to clean it thoroughly after!!!!!

1 Sep, 2010

Sexual preferences? No, Nether regions is the dog next doors...lol! I know, just what do you do? You feed them, walk them, groom them, give them every comfort...and do they appreciate it? No....and then there's the dog too, he takes it all for granted, just like the OH!! LOL!
Sadly, that is all I can do, Annella....but would be so wasteful not to appreciate a thing of beauty when they pass you by...Like a great work of Art, I prefer them still life....(well, with a pulse as well~that's a bean by the way~thought I'd in a bit of gardening knowhow lol~but they just insist on keep walking...ho hum...) As to Raff licking the keyboard...YEUK!

1 Sep, 2010

Heee Hee Flori, I've given up trying to groom mine, it wasn't working! At least when you brush a dog they look good for a while....
I like the way I can say what I want to younger men now, they just smile nervously and shuffle away from the old crazy lady :-))))

1 Sep, 2010

And you a mere babe at 50?!!! Don't believe it for a moment Annella...lol!

1 Sep, 2010

We are talking 16 to 18 year olds Flori ;-))))

1 Sep, 2010

I thought that that age group could hardly string a sentence together without 'Yeah, Right, Wotever', I just use sign language, it is not quite so taxing on them I find....LOLLOLLOLLOL! X (I am so not popular if we have any really young kids out there on Goy reading this!!!) :~))

1 Sep, 2010

I know Flori, but if you wink at them they soon shut up and look bewildered. It works well on my daughters friends, keeps them away from the house ;-))

1 Sep, 2010

If I was them, I would just put it down to the medication that you are on..Annella! That or a full moon....or an R in the month....or Volcanic dust...or.....the list is endless really, isn't it??? lol :~))))

1 Sep, 2010

That's a good tip to remember Annella, I will have to wink at my daughter's boyfriends too when they come around, they will deffo not come back then...lol ;-)
Nice to see you back Flori I am glad they didn't cart you away permanently my friend ;-)

1 Sep, 2010

Oh hi Rich! Lovely to hear from you again...Yes, I managed to slip out when they weren't looking, but can only be a matter of time till they find me again...I think I can hear the dogs baying even as I write!!! Infamy, infamy, everybodys got it infamy!! Tee hee hee :~)))x

1 Sep, 2010

Yes I would say that will work if you never want to see them again Rich, It's the others that may visit after I would worry about.....

1 Sep, 2010

Oh and Flori you're hearing things again...not a good sign..

1 Sep, 2010

Watch it Flori? Was that a crack about teenagers I just saw??? I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW WE ARE MUCH MORE ARTICULATE THAN THAT. I mean, you've been hanging around with me for however many months now, and you still think we are monosyllabic creatures????? I'll not speak to you again if you don't look out.

1 Sep, 2010

Pip, I am a youngster too there are not many of us younsters left who can remember buying a bag of sweets for three groats..lol :-)

2 Sep, 2010

{Groats?}

2 Sep, 2010

I believe they were an old fashioned coin that Flori used to use Pip..... ;-)

2 Sep, 2010

ooh,Richard,you will be in trouble now,from Flori....may have to give you a saucer of milk...meeow .Lol....maybe a big wooden spoon as well...Lol.

2 Sep, 2010

Oh dear - I think I will be in trouble from Flori when she sees it Bloomer. Will you visit me in hospital when I have a black eye .....lol ;-)

2 Sep, 2010

Of course Richard,but if Fori gets there first,you may have two...Lol...hope you have some good shades to hide behind...you could pretend to be a pop star , incognito...don't dress as Elvis though,...the King is dead..allegedly :o)

2 Sep, 2010

Ha ha Bloomer great idea to get a pair of good shades. They have some at the local market and cost six groats and 50 sheckles each .....lol ;-)

2 Sep, 2010

Groats? Surely you meant 'Goats', Rich, as we had a bartering system long before currency, I will have you know!! Of course, our living conditions were a little basic then, Single Cave, Semi-detached. or High-rise of course...not like today. We didn't even have a McDonalds then! Food on the go, was just a passing Dinosaur, especially the 'Didyouthinkhesarus'....and as for Clubs....well most of ours were wooden! Nasty splinters at times....ouch!

Ah, my little Pippin~in body you are but a stripling,but mentally, you are a great Sage, with all that wisdom and dexterity of the written word....such perspicacity in one of tender years...:~))

Bloomer, I would love to say that you stood up for me against this onslaught of stick, but knowing you, you are sitting down at a safe distance, with St John's on standby for patching Richard up after I have finished with him! Run Richard, run.....LOL!

2 Sep, 2010

What a vivid imagination you have Flori with dinosaur burgers and caves ...lol
ha ha I wish I could run Flori but I am sure you wouldn't chase after the walking wounded lol I would have to fight you off with my crutch at the mo lol... ;-)

2 Sep, 2010

Imagination Rich? I will have you know my lad, that I was there, there's a cave somewhere with my initials carved into it~graffiti isn't a new thing you know!! Many a night I would be sat by the fire, roasting my dino burger with extra relish!
As to chasing a wounded man....I would give you a head start, so at least you would have a fighting chance, and as to fighting me off with your crutch...well I am NOT even going to go there...LOL! :~))))

2 Sep, 2010

I didn't know you were around in those days Flori I can't remember seeing you when I had my leopardskin wrap and club and trying to light the fire with my flint.
If only we had the www and computer in those days it would have been so much easier to communicate then instead of sending smoke signals...lol ;-)

2 Sep, 2010

Perspicacity???
Flori, although you may be two score and eight in years, you're still pulchritudinous, I'm sure, and mellifluous!

2 Sep, 2010

You were there as well eh Rich? Ah Flint, how that takes me back...he became a big actor didn't he? Flint Eastwood? And his brother went into politics, what was his name...Bill Flinton, that was it, had to leave as he had a stain on his career...they didn't have Vanish in those days you know....As to the www, how do you think that ''Ugh'' would have translated? A bit of a restrictive language barrier I feel...though I bet Wikipedia could have helped us out! LOL!

Ah Pip, you do say the nicest things.....LOL, Hope the knots in your keyboard don't take too long to come out after that! How is life in the world down under? :~))x

2 Sep, 2010

Good old flints...

2 Sep, 2010

I was wondering about that word too Pip ...so had to look it up on the online dictionary:-
perspicacity - intelligence manifested by being astute

now I will have to look up astute........lol :-)

Flori is a master of the English vocab and so are you Pip by the looks of things !

2 Sep, 2010

:o))))))) YOu're too kind Rich

Pulchritudinous is 'beautiful' and mellifluous is also beautiful, but relates to sound, as in "Beverley has a truly mellifluous voice!"

2 Sep, 2010

I just saved you 10 minutes on Wikianswers didn't I lol

2 Sep, 2010

Richard, use a lighter it's so much quicker than flint + don't wear the leopard skin wrap while you are winking, Flori it's time to go back to that safe place hun.....'Didyouthinkhesarus' is coming to get yoooooooooooooooooou~~~~~

2 Sep, 2010

LOL Rich, you are really implying that we are just smartbutts, aren't you?? I will leave the translation of that to whoever wants it....Tee hee hee :~))
Hello Annella, what are you doing up at this late hour too, or is this an early start at work to impress the boss?? lol x

2 Sep, 2010

Oh and good morning Pip :-))

5 Sep, 2010

We have missed you too Flori....hope you have been OK while you have been away ;-)

5 Sep, 2010

I haven't been very far, just very busy....You know what they say about the devil making work for idle hands...guess I'm just not taking any chances! LOL!

5 Sep, 2010

Hope you can take it easy now Flori, now that all the work is done. Time to take off the dancing shoes and put your feet up :-)

5 Sep, 2010

Now that sounds nice...to curl up with a good book, and a glass of wine, or listening to music or chatting with friends late into the night, all the simple pleasures in life we don't make enough time for.... :~))))

5 Sep, 2010

That sounds very idyllic to me Flori it would be nice to find the time to do all this sort of thing wouldn't it?--where is everyone today? :-))

5 Sep, 2010

Do you know, I was wondering just the same.....Annella? Ba? Bloomer? Where are you all??? :~(( Richard, I think at the moment, you are just stuck with me, sorry! :~))

5 Sep, 2010

That's OK Flori I enjoy the chat..you are stuck with me too ;-)

5 Sep, 2010

Is it just my Computer that heaves a really heavy sigh everytime I ask to pull up this page???LOL....I swear that it is going to go off on a huff any minute!
Couldn't think of anyone nicer to be stuck with, Rich....don't worry girls, I will be the perfect hostess as you are all so busy out there that you can't join us for a natter....We must do it again, Rich....chatting always brighten up an overcast sky, it has been really wet over here.....too mucky to do anything today...what has it been like over in Leicestershire?

5 Sep, 2010

Cloudy day Flori I have been out in the garden for some of it then helped to get the dinner ready. I managed to pick some runner beans from the garden and we had them with a piece of roast beef. I am going now to get some sandwiches ready for our tea. I am tasked to do the tea on a Sunday as OH goes out. Maybe I will try and catch up with you all later. Have a good evening and thanks for the chat-it was great :-)

5 Sep, 2010

You are very welcome my friend, sorry to hear that it has been overcast there too.
Hope you have a lovely tea... :~))

5 Sep, 2010

Thanks Flori we had some stilton, gorgonzola, lettuce and tomato on some crackers witha glass of wine. Mmmm delicious too I should have sent you some in the post ;-))

5 Sep, 2010

Yum, sounds nice, but if you had sent me some through the post, the wine would have made it awful soggy, Rich! What was that? That I wasn't getting any wine? Just how cruel can you be.....? :~(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

5 Sep, 2010

Here I am,Flori,and Richard..are you looking for a bit of sparkling wit?...Well,don't expect it from me then..Lol.Ok,you two,I can see you are on your favourite subject,by the looks of things...Food... I have been out most of the day,doing the same as you..eating.Lol.We had a nice family Sunday lunch out,so a very nice day....It was so touching to see you were missing us...but,I do have another life,you know...hard to believe,but true..:o)))

5 Sep, 2010

What a life more important than Goyland? Hang your head in shame woman! You have been missed, Richard and I were wondering where everyone had gone! I thought that you had gone off on your cruise with everyone and left us behind...sob, sob.....As to your sparkling wit....well that was very much missed indeed, Rich and I had to resort to being sensible...unheard of, Bloomer, my reputation totally shot now....lol

5 Sep, 2010

Hi Bloomer we have missed you hope you enjoyed your Sunday lunch

5 Sep, 2010

Consider my head hung,Flori...and I was surprised at your sensible conversation too..are you sure you are OK ? No wine left? ah,that could be it...open another bottle dear,and lets have you back to the Flori we know and love...and on that note,I will say goodnight...as wouldn't sleep ,if I waited for the reply,I think I may get !!..Lol.Sweet dreams...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

5 Sep, 2010

Goodnight Bloomer sleep well ;-)

5 Sep, 2010

Do you poms have Fathers Day on the same day we do???

(Oh and Rich, how about coming to Australia with the girls and Annella's OHtobe? They've all invited themselves over and we thought you might like to come. We'll sort out bedding arrangements on arrival.)

6 Sep, 2010

Our mothers day is different to yours Pip, not sure about fathers..

6 Sep, 2010

I know, Bloomer, me being sensible....that would never do! I can be just as batty on Still water you know, alcohol doesn't even have to come into it, it just helps! lol! What day do you have Fathers Day on Pip? Are you going to join us Rich??? LOL!

6 Sep, 2010

I am on my way to Oz as we speak Flori just picking up my hot water bottle and sleeping cap as it may be cold over there now ;-)

6 Sep, 2010

You do know that we might have to dress you up as Richina, don't you, so that you blend in ok with motley crew?? Hahaha! What do you think Annella/Bloomer reckon we could just about get away with it?? :~)))

6 Sep, 2010

I think he could borrow Ba's Tankini,but will he have the legs for it ? Maybe Annella's caftan ..or was that Pip's?Anyway we will smuggle him in somehow...is your leg still in a pot,Richard ?mmm.that could be a problem..Lol.Unless,we all had one..ideal for hiding a Kaola in,to bring home...anyone got a Eucalyptus tree ?

6 Sep, 2010

Yep, I have!! Er....exactly what were you going to do with it, Bloomer??? lol!

6 Sep, 2010

From what Pip say's he just needs a pair of Budgie smugglers, not sure where he will keep the Kaola though?....

6 Sep, 2010

I hear he has a special little pouch for that, Annella, isn't that so, Richard??lol!

6 Sep, 2010

That's where the Budgie lives Flori, what if they don't get on? It could be painful for Richina...

6 Sep, 2010

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that....better take a first aid kit with us just in case, I did train to be a nurse, a long long long time ago, I used to take a lamp with me on my rounds....The worse case scenerio would be that Richard could end up being Richina on a more long term basis than he had planned...lol...Have you noticed that he has gone very quiet on us today....I wonder why?? tee hee hee!

6 Sep, 2010

See,you are getting so excited about Budgie smugglers,you didn't even notice I had spelt Koala wrong,unless you know another animal called Kaola..erm,Eucalyptus Flori,..do you want the poor thing to starve ??If it comes to your house,it will not survive on eggy bread and a glass of the white grape..I presume we will come home eventually??

6 Sep, 2010

Bloomer I changed my spelling to match yours, you being superior to me!!!!
Can we get him a back pack for the wallaby, It will be safer....

6 Sep, 2010

Could be dodgy going through customs with bouncy Speedos.....

6 Sep, 2010

Lol,Annella,you are so tactful..are you ill? A backpacking Wallaby sounds just divine...:o)

6 Sep, 2010

its time for me to declare......

6 Sep, 2010

That Annella has got an award on my behalf,for 500 comments,

6 Sep, 2010

I know Bloomer, I really want one :-)))))

6 Sep, 2010

THere,now you have one Annella...wonder what you will get.???I can do magic,you see...

6 Sep, 2010

How dare you offer Richard my tankini without so much as a by your leave? It would be a very odd shape when I came to wear it. I'm sorry Richard, but you'll have to knit your own! I have a cunning plan... he could disguise the wallaby... as a space hopper!!!...problem solved:-] that's what genius looks like:-)

6 Sep, 2010

What are you implying Ba ?funny shape.?.don't know what you mean.!!!
Oh,yes,a space hopper would be good,I hear all the best dressed men in Oz,have a space hopper,so he wouldn't look out of place...or even as a Teletubby:o))

6 Sep, 2010

And on this occassion I meant I wanted a Wallaby Bloomer!!!! I am so the queen of right place right time :-))
I said Rich should wear the 'smugglers' Ba, we are the 'Tankini girls' and we can't have cross dressers in our group ~~~~~~~~~~~~Wheeeeeeeeeeeee

6 Sep, 2010

Buy the way the spacehopper idea is brill, one of us can be pretend to be pregnant and hide the space hopper, any offers???

6 Sep, 2010

Oh I am blushing here thinking of knitting my own swimming trunks and going in the Tasmanian sea with all you girls watching me.....lol :-))

6 Sep, 2010

Just how much crazier can this blog get? By the way, thought this was originally my blog, so what do I get for over 500 comments, apart from a long-term stay at the local nut house??? There was Bloomer and I saying that we would bring this to a close at 200.....gosh, that is....let me see...just be a minute...bear with me...308 comments ago!!

Ah Bloomer Koala's do nibble on Eucalyptus leaves, but yours was a Kaola...and I have absolutely no idea as to what they nibble on! lol! I am so sorry Richard, with this lot on board my friend, I think that I am blushing for you....!!! lol!

6 Sep, 2010

Well Flori, thanks for blushing with me, you are well on your way to notching up a 600 certificate now. Should take all of two days by the way it's going my friend. I thought Kiora was a drink and not something to nibble lol :-)

6 Sep, 2010

Hee hee hee....you losing the plot just like me my friend!!!! No wonder we get on so well....I personally wouldn't nibble on a Koala, a Kaola or even a Kiora, as that would be just plain messy......lol! :~)))

6 Sep, 2010

ha ha so true Flori I think I have deffo lost the plot lol ;-)

6 Sep, 2010

I see you are already embracing the Aussie lingo, mate...Pip will be mightily impressed!! And how's the knitted trunks coming along, hope you haven't dropped any stitches....could be just a tad embarrassing...Tee hee hee! :~))

6 Sep, 2010

I am doing one row of pearl knitting in pink and one row of plain knitting in green and will be casting them off soon my friend....lol ;-)

6 Sep, 2010

Casting them off? Are they making their own way to Oz, Rich? Hope that you are packing sandwiches for them to go on the long journey with, even if they do end up a mite soggy....LOL!

6 Sep, 2010

Ha ha Flori were you surprised that I could knit a pair of swimming trunks. I can knit a pair of trousers too for Australia and put a few extra pockets in them for my sandwiches and knitting needles...lol :-)

6 Sep, 2010

Somehow, Rich, as a Goyer, I don't think anything you do would surprise me, but are you really sure that knitted trunks are the way to go? What happens if they get waterlogged?? I am trying to spare your blushes here my friend....lolx

6 Sep, 2010

I do find that they get a bit soggy now you mention it and are difficult to hold up when they are wet and get heavy especially when you are carrying a tray of sandwiches on the beach at the same time lol :-)

Budgie smugglers are fine, koala smugglers maybe not as BAT Customs officers might get suspicious! I wouldn't reccomend the tankini, and will one of you girls puh-lease help Rich catch up with Galileo??? It's spring over here!
Bring on the sambos I'm starving!! Can't wait to see those knickers - sorry, swimming trunks! You'll have to start calling them 'togs' or 'cossie'.

7 Sep, 2010

Floribunda, I am proud to present to you the 'Holly's Beauty Fuschia' award for 500+ comments on a blog or photo :o)

I'm ok Flori, the weathers a bit better than yesterday :-))

7 Sep, 2010

We had downpours yesterday, but much improved today, the sun is out and skies are blue :~)))

7 Sep, 2010

The skies are blue here too Flori, it really helps to cheer you my friend :-)

7 Sep, 2010

We've had sun too so took dogs for a walk and got caught in a thunder storm! About 10 minutes after we got back...sun again:-) I'm confused again, what are Hollies beauties?? is it a euphemism again? Annella, I know you never offered my tankini to Richard, it was someone else I could touch with a small stick, you're my best friend now ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~wheeeeeeeeee..ooops I didn't mean...erm anything by ....erm :-0 Richard, could you knit me some of those pearls please?? we could go into business together. Possibly sell them in our in flight magazine at B.A.Travel...whadya say??? Another stroke of genius there, I think, girls:-) Flori sincere congaratulations, who'd have thought that from so small an acorn.....:-)

7 Sep, 2010

I will knit you anything you want Ba my friend, we gardening friends have to look after each other in this world don't you agree?. I will very kindly knit you a cardigan and all I want from you is just a simple thank you....... and a new car ......lol ;-)

7 Sep, 2010

You could knit yourself a new spade then Rich.......

7 Sep, 2010

Good Idea I will do that Annella, I just have to get myself some steel wool now.....;-)

7 Sep, 2010

Lol... steel wool... good one Rich :o))))
I'm on earlier than usual today... in fact I've had most of today! It must working hours for you Annella.... make sure to keep the boss happy and turn the Pacman off when the customers arrive, that's my drill ;o)

8 Sep, 2010

Hi Pip, 12.30pm and yes I'm at work....yawn. Don't worry I'm quick with the minimize button :-)))))))))))))))))))))

8 Sep, 2010

Where did you get Pacman from, Pip? I used to love that! My son got furious because I scored higher than he did...haha.

I thought I couldn't get it on this newfangled PC - but if you have, maybe there's hope!

8 Sep, 2010

Hi Pip nice to see you again I think you are 9 hours in front of us? so it is evening with you 9.30pm? I am just thinking about getting some lunch maybe a tuna mayo sandwich and cup of coffee. Then start on knitting my spade Annella, maybe I should knit two then you can have one as you lost the last one I lent you..I'll give it you for your birthday ...lol ;-)
Hey..Annella's and Spritz's posts just appeared they weren't there when I started typing hello both!!

8 Sep, 2010

If I found Pacman on here Spritz I'd get no work done at all, I used to love It too :-))

8 Sep, 2010

Hi Richard - make sure you wear gardening gloves when you knit your spades, won't you - that steel wool could cut your delicate skin! ;-/

Anne - I just HAVE to know now - Pip might help! :-))))))))))))

8 Sep, 2010

That happens to me a lot Rich, I think it's bcause I look at the pics of Spritz's garden before I scroll down. Thanks for the spade offer, if they knit up well maybe we could get on 'Dragons den' with the Idea :-))))

8 Sep, 2010

Anne - instead of scrolling down, press your 'end' key. That takes you to the bottom of the blog. Hitting 'home' takes you back up to the top! Clever, huh?

8 Sep, 2010

Very clever Spritz :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))

8 Sep, 2010

I will have to knit a pair of gardening gloves now then Spritz before I start on the spades...lol :-)
Dragon's Den it is then Annella ....we will make a fortune!..
...where's our friend Flori today?........calling Flori .......
...calling Flori....calling Flori ..... ;-)

8 Sep, 2010

Did someone call?? Sorry, had a rough night with my poorly mutt last night, so am all behind today, if I suddenly go very quiet and lots of weird letters come up, it's because I have fallen asleep on my keyboard!! What have I been missing?
In answer to Ba, I think that she was implying that from so small an acorn, such a big nut could grow!! This blog has really taken on a life of it's own.....

Good lord, Richard, you are a busy lad, knitting Pearls, Steel Spades,Gloves AND Swim wear too....how gifted are you??? Your fingers must be a mere blur of flashing needles...I hope you have fair maidens on standby, mopping your fevered brow as you work so industriously my busy friend...LOL!
Hello Annella, Pippin, Ba and Spritz....lovely to see you all here...think Bloomer is at sea now..... :~))
Had to smile about Pacman...yes I remember it too. My OH and his best friend have been playing the same computer game for over 21 years! It is called 'Chaos Engine' and is an old Atari game....will these boys never grow up, lol!
Think I need Strong Coffee, lots and lots of it!!! Anyone wanna join me?? :~))x

8 Sep, 2010

Might need it, Flori - we're off to the vet's in a few minutes, and it wouldn't be good to fall asleep in his surgery, would it? I can't keep my eyes open - like you, I suspect!

Pacman might help you...on the other hand, it was a bit mesmerising, I seem to remember, so maybe not. Loud music (through earphones so you don't disturb Rafff) and coffee...that should do it!

8 Sep, 2010

LOl...lots and lots and lots of it, I think! My poor OH will have trouble getting me off of the ceiling, I will be on so much caffine overdose! Hahahaha! Good luck with Henry my friend....Raff sends a pitiful tail wag...the best we are going to get out of him I think at the moment... :~((( He is not a happy little lad...

8 Sep, 2010

Awwwww.....I hoped he might have perked up a bit...it's going to take time, isn' t it. Pat, pat. Hug, hug! xxx

P.S. You get to choose which of you gets which! lol.

8 Sep, 2010

Hope Raff is feeling better now and a bit happier Flori, and that you managed to get some rest this afternoon ;-))

8 Sep, 2010

Thanks Richard, he is such an unhappy little lad at mo...hate to see him like this. Having a quieter day today...I need it! lol! Thank you for your concern though... x

8 Sep, 2010

What's up with Raff Flori??

8 Sep, 2010

I hope Henry is ok too Spritz x

8 Sep, 2010

Love to Raff and Henry - what's wrong with Raff???
Remember that Google Pacman thing they had a few months back? Well you can still play it you just type Google Pacman into Google and look at what comes up :o))))
Richina of the flashing needle fingers, what does your dragon's den look like?

8 Sep, 2010

Evening girl's, this is only a brief visit, cos I am cream crackered...Raff was diagosed with a cancerous tumour last week, so on Tuesday, he had to go in and have it operated on..we are waiting on the results of the biopsy, but he is one very sad little puppy at the moment.... :~(((((((

Spritz will be delighted to get your info on Pacman, Pip! You might not know what you have started...lol...bit like this blog really!
Thanks for your concern over Raff, Pip and Annella, Spritz and Rich, it means a lot to me...x

8 Sep, 2010

oh I'm so sorry to hear that, I had no idea, give him a big pat from me and Franny sends all her love :o))))

8 Sep, 2010

I didn't want to say too much till I knew what we were dealing with, Pip...it came as a huge shock to us too~we had no idea....But hopefully he is now on the mend, and it won't prove serious...I will let you all know when we know any more info my dearest friend X

8 Sep, 2010

Hi all I hope you are not too tired Flori after your hard day with no sleep my friend.

8 Sep, 2010

Well, I'm not as fresh as a daisy, but still awake just, Rich! :~}} Ooh err, should we be talking...? You know that Pip, she'll have us married off next! Tee hee hee!

8 Sep, 2010

Make sure you get fitted for a wedding dress soon Flori! It wouldn't do to have you tripping down the aisle in your wellies and gardenig gloves now would it?

8 Sep, 2010

Now you've done it Pip! That's every one of Richard's gardening fantasies rolled into one! It's going to take us ages to settle him down again after that comment...What have you done........?!!!! LOL! :~))

9 Sep, 2010

Ha ha I'm late on duty today as I have been buying some plug plants from Aldi this morning. I can't settle down today Pip after the talk of wellies and gardening gloves especially if they were the knitted ones. Flori you would look a picture in these my friend :-)

9 Sep, 2010

Knitted Wellies? Now I have heard it all, Rich! Oh Pip, Pip, just what have you done??? Richard's going to be all fumble fingers now after you have given him that eratic image (lol) of me walking up the aisle, adorned as above.... those poor poor plug plants, my heart goes out to them.....and there will be no controlling Rich for days, if not weeks now!! Down, boy, down!!! LOL!

9 Sep, 2010

NOW I'M REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HIM.....

9 Sep, 2010

9 Sep, 2010

9 Sep, 2010

Have you two ever thought of becoming a double act? You should, you really are as bad as each other! lol. Richard, hun, you really are not helping yourself here, just keep trying to dig your way out, without getting arrested, there's a good lad! LOL!!! :~))x

9 Sep, 2010

Do a double act with a man who says 'me mac' not 'my mac' and lives in a town where they shop in their pjs......Yeah I'm up for it!

9 Sep, 2010

I thought that sounded right up your street, Annella,lol! Now all we have to think of is a name for your act....tee hee hee, ooh, this could be fun... :~))

15 Sep, 2010

Ummm...I think we need to know where she works, Ba! We could be whistle-blowers! LOL.

15 Sep, 2010

Or blackmailers Spritz, could be quite lucrative :-)

15 Sep, 2010

Don't be horrible girls, I work very hard! I leave at 2.30 to pick Jamie up from school 10 miles away, then we go to Sainsburys, then I hoover and load the washing machine, then I cook dinner, and some nights I get to go outside in the garden....but it's getting dark early so not much time, then I go to bed and do it all again the next day. I really neeeeeed a lottery win :-))))

15 Sep, 2010

Hello I have been so busy knitting spades and now I have an order for a knitted wheel barrow and knitted greenhouse with buttons instead of a door. ...lol :-)

15 Sep, 2010

Well, I am very impressed Rich, you are obviously expanding your business opportunities, great flexibility in knitted wheelbarrows I would think! I reckon the knitted Greenouse is just a cover up personally though!

15 Sep, 2010

Would Pip be asleep as is 2am in Oz now, 7pm here?

15 Sep, 2010

Think our Pippin worried about her street cred since joining us nutty lot on here, Spritz and Richard....She is awful quiet over there in Aussie Land.Wakey waky Pip! We are missing you....

OOOOH! The prestigious TERRATOONIE AWARD, now I know that I have reached the pinnacle of my GOY career....Thank you Pip, I might be one of the few up at 4am, but I accept it with great humbleness and gratitude. Tee hee hee! :~)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))X

16 Sep, 2010

Didn't expect you to be up Flori... and logged off :o( ahh well in an effort to keep track of time it's now 8:25pm here... which means it's morning tea over there... devonshire tea I expect, you poms never seem to be depicted as eating anything else... except yorkshire pudding, roasts and mini sandwiches :o))

16 Sep, 2010

Cheek! What about bangers 'n' mash, fish 'n' chips? And I read in the paper that CURRY has taken the first place in the British food love list!!!!

16 Sep, 2010

OOOOPS Don't talk about food Spritz we have all just come back from a lunctime meal out for our son's birthday today and are full as an egg. We all had a great time and the food was good :-)
Flori you are well on the way to your 700th post now...lol ;-)

16 Sep, 2010

Hello Spritz, Pip and Rich! I can't believe this is still going! Hope your son had a great birthday, Richard, sounds as if you had a lovely meal out! The sun is shining here.....and I have been busy potting up a lovely fuchsia cutting.... :~))

16 Sep, 2010

It's not bad here, either. I managed to plant most of the treasures I got at the plant fair. Had to retreat indoors, though - the wind was hurting my poor face and ears! :-((((

I want to know what you ate that was so good, Rich! Please????

16 Sep, 2010

20.16 girls and I have just come in from turf digging out the front, lovely mild evening in Northants. Three more evenings should get rid of the lot...Sooooo tired now :-))

16 Sep, 2010

Pip, we eat plum cake...see shirleytulips recipe, yum. I've had a few hours off, shopping in Brum. Bought a cardi from Primark and slouch socks and leg warmers (yes they're back) and a pretty beret from Marks and just popped into their food section...and bought lots of stuff 'cos it looked nice. Unfortunately didn't quite taste as good as it looked, but I didn't really have time to cook. :-) As a matter of (some) interest, I actually went for some boots :-)

16 Sep, 2010

That's always the way with me Ba, never come back with what I went for but spend loads more. Oh and I'm at home now so don't report me pleeeeeeeze.....Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

16 Sep, 2010

You put your feet up my dear Annella haha i'm pretending to be nice wheeeeee~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:-)

16 Sep, 2010

I can go with pretending Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :-))

16 Sep, 2010

I notice you always have a massive wheeeeee, I think you're just showing off:-)

16 Sep, 2010

Poor Anne - never mind, you can have a 'wheee' at any time you feel like one! Didn't you need a torch out there at that time? It looked rather dark here.
Oooh - I don't like it when the evenings get shorter, do you? By the way, didn't you like any of the boots, Ba?? Or did you forget about them?

17 Sep, 2010

When you come back in the house you realise how dark it is outside, the neighbours must think I'm bonkers. I miss the long evenings and get quite depressed when we have to change the clocks :-((

17 Sep, 2010

Spritz, I did like some of the boots, and no doubt would have bought a pair had they my size. 5's seem to sell out quickly, I have common feet:-( or looking at it another way...popular feet:-) I want a flattish comfortable pair, probably suede, (for walking around Malvern haha). Only Flori and me going as far as I can make out...and we're going for a cuppa too! I don't like the dying of the light either:-(

17 Sep, 2010

Ba I looked at Spritz's blog, how nice that you were all able to meet :-))

17 Sep, 2010

I don't think that Louise and I will be there this time...sob, sob. Lack of a chauffeur. :-(( I've been working on OH, but with not a lot of success up to now.

Who likes Dylan Thomas, then? Me too! :-)))))))))))))))))))))))

Sorry about your feet - since I retired and stopped wearing heels, mine are now size 6, up from five-and-a-half. Isn't that weird?

17 Sep, 2010

Anne, in spite of a dreadful day - wet and cold, we had a great time there. You never know. We 'might' get to the Spring one if we don't make the Autumn one.

17 Sep, 2010

I lost two stone a few years ago and went down a shoe size :-))

17 Sep, 2010

Oh, stop boasting at ONCE!!! In spite of being so poorly recently, and not eating, I am STILL not losing my 10-ish excess pounds...I want to get into my clothes again! Boo-hoo - you are so cruel, Anne!

17 Sep, 2010

Sorry Spritz, a lot of mine has gone back on so I'm trying hard again at the minute. I have a wardrobe full of clothes that look like they belong to someone else cos they don't fit me :-((

17 Sep, 2010

And me! I keep saying I'll clear them out, and I did send some off to the Sally Army recently , but...maybe, just maybe, one day I'll get into some of them again! Are your feet still the same size now?

17 Sep, 2010

Size 4 now but went down to a 3, I'm 5ft 4" so the pounds soon show on me. The big weight loss came without trying when my husband left, a worrying time.

17 Sep, 2010

I used to be a size smaller too, but I like lots of room so I can put on my woolly socks. Yes Annella, they match my tankini;-) There was a very good play on radio 4 a while ago covering his time in America. What a sad waste, Annella take heed, throw away that vodka now!!! She won't listen to me Spritz:-) We haven't heard from Vicky for a while have we?? i suppose now the show season is almost over, she'll have the time again. Would you like me to have a word with your OH Spritz, I could wear my knitted long legged, long sleeved tankini, woolly socks and my new angora beret (it has littlt pearls in it) men find me irresistable in this outfit:-)

17 Sep, 2010

Ba you are becoming my fashion icon :-))

17 Sep, 2010

Aw shucks, thanks Annella....have you got nothing better to do, work slow lol? :-)

17 Sep, 2010

Yes please, Ba. In that outfit, who could resist your wiles? LOL. A photo or Youtube video will, of course. be needed! ;-D

17 Sep, 2010

Youtube...do you think the world is ready for that Spritz? Lol

17 Sep, 2010

How else will OH get to see this glamourpuss? LOL

17 Sep, 2010

I was thinking of BATravel Spritz, be with you in a minute (after popping in to Walsall to buy some fruit at the market) so pop the kettle on in about 2 hours. I shall travel incognito in a burkha to save the sanity of any males in the vicinity:-)

17 Sep, 2010

Sorry, no good today, Ba - he's at work! Try again tomorrow. Shame - it's a lovely day down here! :-(((

17 Sep, 2010

We've had sun on and off today, but it's quite cold:-)

17 Sep, 2010

I actually crawled into the garden this afternoon, and managed an hour out there, before I got exhausted again and had to come back in. At least I did a bit! :-)

17 Sep, 2010

I went out for an hour after work Spritz but I was cold :-(((((

17 Sep, 2010

Oh dear. I hope we get a good day tomorrow! Sunday's forecast isn't too hopeful here.

17 Sep, 2010

The same for Northants, I will cut my grass tomoz :-))

17 Sep, 2010

I'd love a pair of wellies, but they're so expensive!!!

17 Sep, 2010

Are they? We can get them cheap and cheerful up to posh and expensive. Why are they so expensive over there? Are they rare things? Don't people wear them?

18 Sep, 2010

Doubt they have much call for them Spritz, they wear thongs (flip flops to us) most of the time :-))

18 Sep, 2010

Ohhhhhh....I see. I thought they had torrential rain over there?? I remember Marguerite telling us about it. Maybe that was a different State, though.

18 Sep, 2010

In Australia wellies are called 'gumboots' - but we hardly ever wear them because they have a reputation for giving blisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19 Sep, 2010

Very wise, my feet always hurt when I wear them:-(

19 Sep, 2010

:o( Ouch
Plus my feet are very big - I doubt they would come in my size!

20 Sep, 2010

Oh, i'm sure they would, Pip! I agree that they're not very comfortable, though. I need to wear them when the weather's been ultra-wet and the paths around here get ankle deep in mud. Henry still needs his walks - so on go my wellies plus socks. I get aching legs by the time we get get home!

20 Sep, 2010

We received a gardening catalogue in the letterbox this morning, from our local nursery. Not a wellie to be seen, although you can buy a 'mini vertical garden' for 50-something dollars, and get a free basil plant if purchasing a 'health kick' tomato.

20 Sep, 2010

You can't wear those when it rains, though, can you? LOL

21 Sep, 2010

22 Sep, 2010

Hi everyone! Yes, it's me! Sorry I've been a bit quiet, but dealing with our Raffles~don't panic, he is still doing ok, probably better than my OH and myself if I'm honest! My OH came back from Suffolk after a week away, on Sunday, so he has been catching up on everything, so I have been a bit of a busy lass! (And, NO, not what you lot are thinking either! LOL!)
Lovely to see you on here again Cris, and thanks for all your concern, as you are all aware what our situation regarding my adorable Raff is...I will keep you all updated I promise...Raff is so well known on GoY, he has an army of fans out there...

23 Sep, 2010

Me too - we're all thinking of you. Hugs. xxx

23 Sep, 2010

Hola,Bonjour and Bonjourno! I'm back,and missed you guys.I am trying my best to get in nonsensical mode again,having had to be on my best behaviour..sort of,..for the past two weeks.We have had a fantastic time,and everything was just perfect...So, back to reality,washing,ironing,shopping all done .so lots of me time again.Got your PM Flori,and really hope Raffy will be ok,so sorry to hear of his illness.Keep your chin up,my friend.It has taken me ages to read all the comments since I went...amazing....what with knitting Richard,,wellies,berets with pearls...feet changing sizes...so glad to see you haven't changed a bit... as I can't cope with sane people...WHeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

23 Sep, 2010

It's about time you reappeared, Bloomer! Holidays? I don't know. Tsk, tsk.

(I'm jealous, really! ;-/)

23 Sep, 2010

Knitting Richard? is that our next project? Are we making a lifesize stuffed model or just a full bodysuit for him to wear?
(Look on the bright side Rich - it'll hide the wrinkles and greys!)

23 Sep, 2010

Glad your back Bloomer Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~~~~~~~~~

24 Sep, 2010

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
to you too Annella :o)

24 Sep, 2010

Haha Pip wrinkled and grey would you be talking about a school jumper that needs ironing ..lol. I am still away and managed to connect to the Internet. Will catch up with you all soon. Glad you are back Flori I have missed you too XX

24 Sep, 2010

Thanks Annella,nice to be back on here,but was in Sorrento this time last week,so its back down to earth with a bang,especially as it is cold today..ah,well..never mind.I think a full body suit might be best Pip,as we don't know whether his legs are fit for viewing,do we? A seperate balaclava may be more comfortable so he can remove it to stop him scratching his ears from the itchy wool...

24 Sep, 2010

Hi Bloomer glad you had a good holiday and nice to see you back. I took a photo of your shop which I saw one day up here in the Derbyshire Dales, hope you like it :-))

24 Sep, 2010

Thanks Richard,just going to have a look at my shop....intriguing!!

24 Sep, 2010

Lol,Richard..I look as though I am made of good stuff... built to last !!!
By the way,Flori,think this is your 700th comment well done..yet another award,..what can we give her this time ??

24 Sep, 2010

What good taste you have, Bloomer. I love Italy, especially the Amalfi Coast! Did you go to Ravello?

24 Sep, 2010

Our favourite country too.We were docked in Naples so went to Sorrento for the day,as we spent out silver wedding there,11 years ago,so lovely to go back again.we haven't visited Ravello and the Amalfi coast,but intend going back to stay sometime,and will do it then.The first time,we did Pompeii,Capri,and the top of Vesuvius,which was one of my ambitions realised...don't think I could do it now though.Lol..We did visit,Portofino,St Margherita and Rapello another day,which was lovely....oh well,its back to everyday life :o((

24 Sep, 2010

I went to Ravello on my way to Capri, I loved it all and was desperate to come with you Bloomer and wear my Tankini......but It wasn't to be this year.....very glad you had a good time hun xx

24 Sep, 2010

Have to think of an award, you lot....

25 Sep, 2010

OK, OK, but we're all thinking wistfully about the blue Mediterranean sea, sunshine and oooooohhhh... those views!!!

Hmmm....a gilded packet of 700 seeds? One for each comment...haha.

25 Sep, 2010

Good idea,Spritz.I'm sure Flori would love them....come and collect your award ,our friend..:o)))

25 Sep, 2010

Well done Flori on your 700th plus posting I think you deserve a knitted trophy ..lol x

25 Sep, 2010

The 'Seed Packet' Award....is yours!

26 Sep, 2010

I am sure that Flori will be pleased with The 'Seed Packet' Award Pip ;-)

26 Sep, 2010

Why don't we give her a knitted seed packet LOL
You can do the knitting Rich ;o)

27 Sep, 2010

Pip where were you? Flori and I waited (with a cuppa and some grub) for you and you didn't come. Flori is well, just taking a little breather, and looked lovely in the sheepskin lined luminous pink tankini, which you can find it in my new 'BAT Autumn Fashion' catalogue. Malvern was a little disappointing in the gardening department. I found nothing worth buying!!! Most of the show was devoted to other things, but I enjoyed all the animals, food and shops. Some very nice unplant things for gardens though, I fell in love with a metal teasel sculpture for under £2,000 and some very nice wall art. Ended up buying very expensive balsamic vinegar, some lovely oil and shoes:-) Richard, do you think you could knit me a teasel sculpture?:-)

27 Sep, 2010

Getting my knitting needles out now Pip ;-)
Ba..I will knit you anything my friend, you just need to ask and it will be done tout suite! :-)

27 Sep, 2010

Why was Malvern so un-garden-y this year? Louise said the same. I wasn't able to join her this year, and from the sound of it, I didn't miss much!

You were soooo unselfish to leave that teasel sculpture for someone else to buy, Ba! I'm pleased to hear that Rich can knit one. :-))

27 Sep, 2010

Hi my nutty loons! Bloomer, you are back!! I have so MISSED YOU! Sounds like your cruise was just perfect, and I am only sorry that you are now back in chilly damp Blighty, but the warmth of us having you back will help brighten your day a little I hope! Thank you kind Floretts, for my latest award, a designer bespoke knitted seed packet for our 700th posted comment on this crazy crazy blog...all those seeds! Hope you lot will help me plant them lol! Thank you Spritz, Pip, Annella, Ba and Rich. I like the sound of that knitted trophy too, so it's back to steel wool for you, Richard, my lad! LOL!
I enjoyed Malvern a lot, though awful chilly and overcast, till this strange beret wearing woman crossed my path....Ba has a smile that can light up the darkest of days, and a humour that kept us warm as we nibbled out chips and fought over Shirleytulips Plum cake...it was almost like a scrum!!! The instigator of the demise of Tom Duck and his mum, Tomasina, also joined us, R has a humour so like her mother, it was like watching a double act!! Think we were the noisiest table in the entire showground!! We also met other family members there, and it was wonderful, I wouldn't have missed it for the world!
As you can imagine, Ba's latest fashion creation, the luminous pink tankini was an instant hit, I did stand out in the crowd! The orders are just flooding in, so Ba is looking for more Tankini knitting grannies to increase her work force if any of you fellow loons are interested....?LOL!

27 Sep, 2010

ha ha trust you to have the noisiest table Flori ..I wouldn't have expected anything else...lol ;-)

27 Sep, 2010

Hi Flori, glad you and BA had fun xxxx

27 Sep, 2010

Not fair! I couldn't go this time.....what did you buy, Flori?

27 Sep, 2010

Hello Rich, Annella and Spritz! Lol, Rich, it was Ba and I on our mobiles trying to find each other through a mass of people...I was the idiot stood waving like mad in the middle of them! We did get some very strange looks indeed!
I bought some dwarf Wallflowers, which was what I went for in the first place, a lovely metal artwork picture, of a bridge over a stream, and I almost made it out of the Showground without buying any plants, well, I did say 'almost'...lol!x

27 Sep, 2010

So thats where you have been? glad you all had a great time despite the weather...It looks like you dodged the security men to get in..we had forewarned them you were coming..but you were obviously too clever by far,..were they carrying white sticks,as I don't know how they didn't spot you a mile off,with the fetching outfit that Ba was wearing....that must have been such a turner of heads Lol...Didn't you even get the Asbo,that Annella,Richard Pip and I,bestowed on you,as an extra award to go with your knitted seed packet ?...Security not what it used to be then.! I will be putting in a complaint to MI5 ASAP.....

27 Sep, 2010

Ah the joy of BA Travel, Bloomer, and very long trench coats! The Security guys didn't stand a chance of catching us....I did think that Ba looked a little silly with the balaclava on, 'specially with the false nose and her wonderful handlebar moustache that has taken so long to grow, but it was good to meet up again...As to the Asbo, well that 's sat up on my mantlepiece next to all my other awards......Did I misunderstand what it was for???? OOOOH, it's so good to have you back home again....... :~)))))))X

27 Sep, 2010

You didn't misunderstand Flori,and I'm sure it will look very nice on your mantlepiece,next to the handcuffs,and the summons you ignored..maybe it will look a tad too much with the knit one purl one seed packet as well..you could blue tack that to your forehead,then you will have a permanent reminder of all your very kind friends...its not that good to be back,to be honest,with the rubbish weather,but being back on here is making me laugh...

27 Sep, 2010

On here the weather is always good, Bloomer, we are your little rays of sunshine personally assigned to you...oh you lucky lucky soul...
You really shouldn't mention the handcuffs if Annella is about, that or shovels actually, as that is a bit of tender subject with her too....
I would look so silly with my knitted seed packet stuck to my forehead, Bloomer,'specially as I have a fringe....what do you think this is, Grows on You?

27 Sep, 2010

Just as well - I'm sure Sorrento is still bathed in warm sunshine....Viva Italia!

Hey, Flori! You got in first - that comment was meant for Bloomer! :-(((((

27 Sep, 2010

Lol Flori..I can't cope with any more of this insane humour ..enough is enough for tonight..remember I am having to get used to it again,having been missing all my lessons for two weeks,so I will bid you goodnight,and try to deglaze my brain before retiring to my cabin..oh,sorry its bedroom again...X

27 Sep, 2010

Thats ok Spritz,she always wants to be first...Lol

27 Sep, 2010

Hey girls, I'm not known as Flaming Fast Flori for nothing you know! You would be surprised at just how quick I can whip in there, I am just a blur! Well, don't they always say that greatness always floats to the top.....And NO, Bloomer, don't even go where that thought process is taking you, this is a genteel site remember!
Ooppps! Sorry Spritz!! Night night Bloomer, watch out for those bears out there...!!! :~))))X

27 Sep, 2010

You are full of...it ,tonight Flori..nite nite xx

27 Sep, 2010

The words you were searching for was sparkling wit and interlectual repartee, Bloomer, don't worry, I will fill in the blanks for you...Nite nite!! :~)))))X.

27 Sep, 2010

I'll think of a good excuse Ba.... just give me a minute....
Shame that it wasn't very gardeny.... looks like I didn't miss much... but I would have loved to meet you all, really! HOw did you find the tankini Flori - wasn't too cold for an autumn day was it?
Goodnight Flori, you Flamin' Fast, Full-of-it Female you............

28 Sep, 2010

THAT WAS NOT A FALSE NOSE FLORI !!!!:-(

28 Sep, 2010

I'm not talking to Flori, for the rest of the Florettes I will tell you that a large number of dog breeds were there with their owners to be petted and admired, so Aislinn (4) adored it as did we adults, There were 4 absolutely beautiful borzois. I always fancied having one of those...walking along in my latest tankini, the long legs of which covered in fur for the winter, furry balaclava on my big nosed mustachioed head and accompanied by an elegant borzoi...how glamorous I'd look...sigh.... There were many rare breeds represented too including some goats. I can't remember the breed name, but the billy had massive horns on top of his head and side horns which looked like big handles. The boy who was sitting outside the pen said I ought to see billy as he's not out often. I crouched down before this magnificent creature and stroked his forehead. He acknowledged this by lowering his head and attempting to butt me. Fortunately the section forming the temporary pen were all that knocked into me. I looked horror stricken at the boy who's face was contorted......with laughter!!! He said I was the fourth person that had happened to today...I suppose he had to lighten the boredom somehow:-))))

28 Sep, 2010

You should get a medal for bravery, Ba - not hoots of laughter!

I'll award you one, anyway. :-)) I'd have enjoyed seeing the dogs, but I'd have been disappointed, as a paid-up plantaholic, if I hadn't been able to take home some prized gems. I'm just imagining OH's face had I arrived home with a GOAT! LOL, LOL.

28 Sep, 2010

Tee hee... fun, fun for Ba at the show....
Don't you wish we all could be paid up plantaholics?

28 Sep, 2010

Oh,so sorry to be laughing ..
Ba,but the mental picture is just too much Lol.What are you like,eh ? I do so wish I could have been with you all,as you sound as though you had great fun,but a shame about the lack of garden-y stuff.Never mind,as long as you enjoyed it.
Your OH may have liked a goat,Spritz..think about not having the need for a lawnmower anymore..!!.LOL.

28 Sep, 2010

He wouldn't have liked this one Bloomer:-( Thanks for the medal Spritz...I just thought....I was literally the butt of the joke! My daughter, nearly daughter-in-law and granddaughter thought it hilarious lol. The lack of plants was disappointing, I left the family in the shopping parts to try to find the 'garden' part of the show, I had taken my 2 trolleys, bought at the Spring Show, in hopeful anticipation...and I had a little list. I could have bought bulbs, but didn't want any. I looked at a few exhibits and checked the price of plants...very dear for what they were. There were quite a lot of people who were wondering around with 5 foot tall verbana bonariensis plants, don't know how much they'd paid, but there was no way they would get them home in one piece. There were no creches as they were not needed, it wasn't a garden show. We all enjoyed it nevertheless and nearly came home with the cutest furriest mini lop type bunnies you ever did see and an alpaca with large dreamy eyes. Mitch (nearly d-i-l) took some phone pics so I'll see if I can upload some. Did anyone take any pics?:-))

28 Sep, 2010

Its lucky I don't need a lawn mower or goat anymore as I replaced our lawn in the back garden with decking. I can just sit out there with a glass of wine and contemplate the old days of cutting the grass, tripping over the lead, or cutting the lead with the lawnmower......cheers lol ;-)

28 Sep, 2010

Are you talking to me yet, Ba? The nose really was quite elegant, and suited the handlebar 'tashe perfectly, that and the Tankini, you were the star of the show! Anyway, I was really nice to you further up this blog.....you just can't please everyone I guess...lol! Pip, Spritz and Bloomer, and not forgetting, (Who is he again??), ah, our Richard, (lol) we would have loved it if you could have joined us there, but as Ba said, the plant stalls were few, and I have no idea why so many people were buying Verbena bonariensis, cos it can spread like a weed! I ended up with 6 packs of dwarf wallflowers for £5, plus just before we left at the end of the day, I got offered 6 x Clematis for £10, and 2 x large Pennisetum setaceum 'Fireworks', which is a striking red grass only just recently introduced, for £5. I won't tell you what my OH said, when he saw me advancing towards him with my latest plants, but it had very little to do with gardening, I can assure you! Meeting up with Ba, had to be the best bit of my day though.....!x

28 Sep, 2010

You won't get around me like that Flori....well maybe you will lol:-)) How big are your p. fireworks? I had some early summer, but they haven't grown much at all, had one little plume about 8-9" high and I think they have to come in in the winter. I'm not going to order mail order this year from the big companies, in fact I won't even look at their catalogues...well maybe I'll look. I like verbena and it isn't a problem here (wish it seeded more) I don't have any now. I did see the wall flowers, but I wanted particular colours which I thought would be available at the show. Most of the plants on the few stalls I saw were not in very good nick. Trust you to find some good stuff and bargains! Did you see my giant metal teasel sculpture? I bought a tiny bottle of pomegranite and fig balsamic vinegar for nearly £9....and tiny oil for over £9 that's what happens when there's no plants:-( It was lovely seeing you again too Flori:-))

28 Sep, 2010

Last year there were plants! That's where I bought my beautiful HUGE Carex plant - and Louise and I had fun finding all sorts of things - she got a beautiful pink Dahlia. She has told me that it wasn't the same this year.

Oh - I forgot - was Vicky there with her Heucheras?

28 Sep, 2010

See, I knew you couldn't stay rattled at me for long, I'm just way too adorable!! :~))) These are pretty good size plants, and they are suppose to be winter hardy, but we shall wait and see.....I must have missed your metal Teasel Sculpture, but I did find a lovely perspective metal artwork of a bridge over a stream, which set me back £30....But no doubt of it my friend, meeting up with you was the hi-light of my day!!! :~)))))))))))))))XXX

You popped in there before me Spritz! Yes, Vicky was there, she had won Gold again, and was very busy with lots of customers when I saw her as we passed by!

28 Sep, 2010

That's good news - she hasn't been on the site lately, so now most (all?) of the big shows are over, we might see her again.

28 Sep, 2010

I was surprised that Ba wasn't there salivating over all the gorgeous Heucheras! lol! :~)))x

28 Sep, 2010

Your plants are just too cheap over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrr don't make me jealous you lot ;o)

29 Sep, 2010

Pip I did pay £55 for a cercis lavender twist if that helps, plus postage?? It's still in its pot too as I can't quite decide where to put it. I bought it originally for the front garden, but ....... I did see Vicky's exhibit and fell in love with her particularly beautiful acer. I didn't go right up to it as there were a lot of people by it, and I know she doesn't have the heucheras I'm interested in 'til next year as they were sold out. I'm sure she'll be back after a rest, I can only imagine the work exhibiting entails. Spritz, which carex did you buy last year? Don't forget to put a pic of your metal art work on Flori, so pleased Vicky won another gold, I only saw from afar so didn't know. By then I was feeling a little flat and disappointed....If I went to the autumn show again, it would be for the animals and other attractions such as Flori in her sheepskin lined tankini......... and I wouldn't lug around 2 trolleys lol. My other granddaughter wants to go too next year! Flori you were the highlight of my day too and I'm sure people around us were totally bemused by the insane cackling from our table. :-)))

29 Sep, 2010

Not all of them, Pip - at shows, you can get bargains. but don't forget that you have a hefty entrance fee to pay as well!

How do prices compare, then? I paid £7.00 at a Garden Centre for a Heuchera the other day, for example, and a Clematis from a GC would cost from £8.00 upwards - some would be about £12.00

Ba - it was my HUGE Carex trifida 'Rekohu Sunrise'...I staggered around with it, as it really was enormous!

29 Sep, 2010

I really couldn't say, not having very much money to spend on plants, I bypass the shrubs and trees section completely!!

29 Sep, 2010

Well - how about doing some research, then. Next time you go, just note a couple of prices so we can compare. :-)))

29 Sep, 2010

For me Pip, the best way to increase your stock of plants is to swap cuttings and seeds with your local friends, although you will already know this. Not worth swapping with friends in the UK though due to postage. I am always collecting seeds and cuttings from my plants and swap with the gardeners around here. After a relatively short time you run out of room anyway. :-))

Your metal sculpture purchase sounds good Flori are you going to put it in the garden my friend?

29 Sep, 2010

I don't know about that Pip,plants seem to have shot up over this last year even over here. As Spritz said, a Heucher for £8 when they use to be £4.99 each, and Clematis has become ridiculous, I have seen some of the evergreen ones now selling at £20 plus! At these prices, they are just too expensive to take a loss on, and our last Winter here killed off so many plants, and this one could be just as bad....
I could have done with that sheepskin lined Tankini Ba, wasn't it chilly at the show?!!!! I don't think that I've ever been called an attraction before, lol, makes me sound like an exhibit, mind you in my fluorescent knitted Tankini, some just might have said that, lol! I did buy myself another scarf, to add to the hundreds I have stuffed in drawers at home, but it was only cos I was so cold!! Bbbrrrrr!
Did you see those kids in the huge water spheres Ba? My OH wanted a go, I swear that he is just a big kid at heart!lol!
Good idea on exchanging plants and seed to increase stock, Richard, thank heavens for Goy! Haven't decided where to put the metal artwork yet as I have a few already in the house. I may not draw anymore due to my hands, but I can still appreciate a nice piece of work! Will post a pict as soon as I find a home for it.... :~))

29 Sep, 2010

I'd love to be able to swap seeds and cuttings with you crazy lot - sigh. But maybe you'd just sneak a jack-in-the-box into the package - and I'd get a shock when I opened it. (No, just kidding, I know you wouldn't be so cruel and heartless LOL)

30 Sep, 2010

I've googled your carex Spritz, it looks lovely, is it evergreen? I only have one carex now elata aurea(Bowles golden sedge) which I love. I fortunately managed to get rid of c. pendula in the makeover, 'though I still find dratted seedlings everywhere! I missed the huge water speres Flori;-( but I did see a ferret making a complete fool of its handler poor man:-) Looking forward to seeing a pic of your new purchase:-) Pip, I'd send a jack-in-the box lol, I'd pretend I thought it was a jack-in-the-pulpit;-)

30 Sep, 2010

We have a lot of C. apressa around ours. I like the look of them but I think they're a bit of a weed.

30 Sep, 2010

Hey, this will never do! This is looking more like a gardening site now than our witty nutty blog, I think we've got a computer virus, as mine sneezing and wheezing!! I think we've been infiltrated by the sensible Goyers out there, battle stations every body, before it spreads!!! :~))))X

30 Sep, 2010

Ha ha that is my fault Flori talking about seed swapping and seed planting..lol ;-))

30 Sep, 2010

How could you Richard? Ladies, we have a gardener in our midst, bewarned!!
I should have guessed, infiltrating from the ranks within.....oh woe is me, I am undone! :~((

30 Sep, 2010

Someone is masquerading as me........and being...gulp...sensible:-( Yes it's your fault Richard:-)

30 Sep, 2010

Flori, DO YOURSELF UP!!!

30 Sep, 2010

I am touched Ba thank you..I have never been called 'sensible' before..I think I like it lol ;-))

30 Sep, 2010

Don't get your hopes up Richard,it won't last,if us nutty lot have anything to do with it...Gardening indeed.! Have you lost the plot ?:o)

30 Sep, 2010

Ha ha well how silly was I Bloomer...lol when I joined I thought GOY 'Grows on You' was a site that was something loosely connected with gardening now I know it means Gardening!!! Oh You're having a laugh..........lol :-)))

30 Sep, 2010

I certainly am Richard.Well,that's it for tonight,as I am getting typists cramp...so nite nite,and sleep tight..mind the gardening bugs don't bite ..:o))

30 Sep, 2010

Quick, someone do Flori up!
Nobody call me sensible, OK? I might die of shock.

1 Oct, 2010

Ok,Pip,we don't want to lose you..Lol...and Flori,no wonder you are undone,how many scarves did you say were shoved in your drawers ????.methinks you need to upsize your clothes,or move your buttons.!!! tee hee.

1 Oct, 2010

I am at this moment knitting Flori a winter tankini with two furry hip panniers and a dinky little kangaroo type pouch front and back which should accommodate all her scarves and give greater comfort and relief, so no need to worry Bloomer:-)))))))

1 Oct, 2010

Hooray for Ba!
Knitting today,
When Flori buys scarves,
she doesn't do things by halves,
Bloomer's got typing cramp
and suggests a wardrobe revamp.

1 Oct, 2010

That sounds delightful,Ba,Flori will love it.Especially in case the weather is very cold where she lives,as she will be so cosy,and her important bits wil not get frostbite.Lol.Its immaterial that she may look like Nanook of the North,as comfort and warmth is the top priority,I think...you are soooo thoughtful,my dear..:o)
Our Pip is so clever and talented,isn't she?I could have never written such a sonnet...like what she has Lol.I think she could so easily be the next poet Laureate..Simon Armitage,eat your heart out...by the way,talking of name dropping,he lives in one of our villages..but don't want to brag about the talent we have around here...it would be so boring,and tasteless..!!!

1 Oct, 2010

Well, sorry, but I'm going to answer Ba's question of about 15 comments ago -

YES, Ba, my beautiful Carex IS evergreen - and it produced some huge flowers like brushes this summer. :-)))))

If that was gardening, well, I shall not be apologising, as this blog started life about MY garden! LOL, LOL. (So there!)

1 Oct, 2010

I have a feeling Flori is going to be mad at both of us, Bloomer, when she finds out I've eclipsed her in the Flori Lauri stakes. (Far from it, Flori, don't fret)
Spritz, get outta town - you're banned! LOL

2 Oct, 2010

Spritz, it's on my little list:-)

Pip you'll go far, our Australian star
but at poetry?
I'm sorry
you can't compete with our Flori:-(

Bloomer,....I'm all heart:-) On the subject of talent...I think Boy George came from Walsall...oh well maybe not...you win.:-( Ah as I am actually a scouser, I may trump you in the famous people dept, but not on beauty:-)

2 Oct, 2010

I've just noticed, my last remark looks a bit creepy, I was of course referring to your birthplace lol:-)

2 Oct, 2010

:o)))

2 Oct, 2010

Ba,..lol.That's ok La.See,i know a bit of scouse too.! Do they still say La? I remember it well,when I lived there for a couple of years.loved it,and lots of happy memories of Liverpool.Remember Blacklers store,and Reeces Icecream?

2 Oct, 2010

I haven't been back since my Dad died Bloomer, I have no-one left there now. My brother lives in Southport. I would love to go back and see the docks and the Pier Head to see how they've changed, you know, as a tourist. When I was little my friend's Uncle Ted showed us where they manacled the slaves when they were brought ashore. It was a city built partly on slavery. Whereabouts did you live? Our area was called Edgehill, Liverpool 7:-)

2 Oct, 2010

Sure you weren't one of those manacled slaves - manacled to Goy that is! I think we al feel a bit manacled sometimes..

3 Oct, 2010

You will be glad to know girls,( and Rich), that I am all fastened up now...I really must sort through my drawers, the scarves are taking over.....!lol Bloomer do ty often have a drink problem, let alone cramps? I learn something new everyday off of GoY! :~))
Ba, the new Winter Tankini is very fetching, though not tooooo sure which way is the front now as I have little pouches throughout......but thank you for thinking of me...obviously the meds are working well dear friend....lol! Those little grannies are working overtime to meet all the rush orders from Malvern, no doubt....

Spritz, you are forgiven...many posts ago, lost in the eons of time now, this actually was about your Garden, not that you would have guessed by the last 610 comments....so, as it's you my friend....
Ha! I have a young Pretender coming through the ranks in the guise of Pipkin!

Flori isn't sorry, that she's the great Poetic Lauri,
and her clever lines keep flowing clear and true,
so some little great pretender, isn't going to offend her,
by adding the odd line, or maybe two!
But what is this I see? Is Ba trying to be me?
Though she graciously admits, that I am gifted,
Everyone adds in for free! Oh dear how can that now be?
Forget the nice act, I am definitely mift(ed)!!! Boom Boom!

OR:

Our Ba, was once a Scouser, so now and then we have to douse her,
but the Midlands is where she does now reside,
And once Bloomer, (she confided), in Liverpool abided,
and traces of the lingo still survives!
Having pondered long and deep,(and even in my sleep),
I saw the light, and so I eagerly observed,
This isn't truly Ba and Bloomer, they have asumed a nom de pluma
these two are really the original Liver Birds!!

Now Rich, he is so shaken, cos was easily mistaken,
as he thought that Goy, indeed a Gardening site...
But Flori (Poet Lauri) and Bloomer (Nom de Pluma),
were hasty quick to put this lost soul right!
Then Spritz added to the mix, by putting in her bit,
and confirmed this blog once was garden-rated,
Cos Flori wrote the blog, didn't mean the blog to hog,
but now the subjects are almost all x-rated!!
Pip, our Aussie bunny, suddenly got funny,
as Sensible would cause her to be pozzled,
yet Rich thought it so charming, yet somehow quite alarming,
And Bloomer's typs were permanently sozzled!

3 Oct, 2010

I used to live in Tuebrook,Ba,and it was nice then,but believe it isn't the same now.I lived at Everton too,for a short while...I lived in Liverpool from 1967-1970,..happy days.I remember Edge hill,for the railway station,but didn't know the area.I moved back to Cumbria when my dad was taken ill,to help mum look after him.

3 Oct, 2010

Ha ha Flori lovely pair of poems I love them so much. You are well on form my friend.
My OH was in Liverpool around that same time as you Bloomer in college there. She enjoyed it living there too and we still meet the group of friends she met at college every year for a reunion. We all go away to somewhere different in the country and have a jolly few days...lol ;-)

3 Oct, 2010

Tchah... you win Flori..... this time.

4 Oct, 2010

Oh Pip you are so cruel
And I'm feeling such a fool
I refuse to 'go away'
For 'GOY' is where I'll stay!

So 'Boo' to you, my friend -
My garden I'll defend
I'm off to go and plant
Just to add a gardening slant -

I'll come and read again
But the clock has just chimed ten
The sun is shining bright
And my time today is tight.

Henry wants a walk
So I cannot stay and talk
I really have to fly -
So goodbye. my friends, goodbye.

4 Oct, 2010

Nice one Spritz ...I really enjoyed your pretty ditty ;-))

4 Oct, 2010

Spritz, how impressed am I, whatever have I started? lol! Gorgeous day here in west Wilts, warm and sunny, it reminds me of all my gardening mates on here....! Hope Henry enjoyed his walk... :~))x

4 Oct, 2010

He did, thanks - and I have planted another 300-odd bulbs! That will make 750 all together, once the final few are in. How about that? I hope you're impressed with that, as well. :-)))))))

4 Oct, 2010

I am Spritz, and with your poem, but I think...all things considered, those last poems of Flori's, her great turn of phrase and talent for punning...make her Flori Lauri indeed:-)

4 Oct, 2010

Ah shucks, I am blushing here with such praise! Thank you Ba, I am so deeply touched, (No need to add a comment to that, Thank You my little Floriettes!) lol!

750 bulbs, Spritz? Good lord, your garden is going to be well illuminated, I do hope that they are all low energy ones my friend...tee hee hee! :~))))x

4 Oct, 2010

Have you heard about Sprtz's new career? Wild life photographer..... or should it be pornographer?? Whatever you do DO NOT LOOK AT HER LATEST PICS!:-)

5 Oct, 2010

Oh Ba.....it was only one photo! I am far too innocent to know what the craneflies are doing, so I hoped that you might know....maybe you do, from the sound of it?

I'll switch on the bulbs and see if I can see any other creatures up to no good tonight. No, they're not low energy, Flori. They have to have the strength to get through the soil/compost and flower in the spring, tra-la!

5 Oct, 2010

How on earth did you manage to get hold of 750 bulbs Spritz???? I had enough trouble getting 8.
Looooove those craneflies - everyon eshould print them out and use them to introduce 'that' talk with their kids!!!!!!
I think we're all going a it Flori Lauri around here. No more Lady Gaga for us

6 Oct, 2010

I buy them in bulk from a catalogue, Pip - so they arrive in a large heavy box by courier right to the doorstep. They're a LOT cheaper that way.

Long story - but I have 12 wooden boxes to try to hide the ugly wire fence put up by our neighbours. It was supposed to be temporary, but we're not holding our breath. They take 200 bulbs!!!!!

I can't believe that one photo has generated so much interest! ;-O

6 Oct, 2010

Yes, but What a photo it was, Spritz! I see that you are still protesting your innocence...... lol :~)))x

6 Oct, 2010

Now then, Flori - you've met me. Am I not an innocent person? It's all those other naughty people who keep on about 'that' photo! lol.

6 Oct, 2010

Exactly! I couldn't have put it better! You and that cheeky glint in your eye, Spritz! :~))x

6 Oct, 2010

You'd want to have a good knee cushion Spritz ;o)
Cheeky glint!?? I bet it's a lot more than a cheeky glint sometimes, if I have the measure of our Spritz...!! Still, Flori Lauri, I bet you've had a 'glint' sometimes too ;o))

7 Oct, 2010

Yes, Pip - I have got a kneeler - and this week, with damp grass, I've put a polythene sheet down first, with the kneeler on the top so I don't get wet jeans legs.

Cheeky glint? Me? Hey ho, tra la, I'm not saying anything on that. LOL.

7 Oct, 2010

Nice photo Spritz. I have a garden kneeler too and I put a cushion on it also to kneel on ....lol ;-)

7 Oct, 2010

Hi Richina... welcome back :o)

I'm still to much of a novice gardener to own stuff like wellies and kneelers lol

7 Oct, 2010

I bought some pads from Wilkinsons this year, that fasten around the knee with velcro straps, very fetching. Wore them a few times, answered the door in them once as they'd become rather comfy and I didn't notice I was wearing them. They certainly keep your knees warm. :-)

8 Oct, 2010

I did wonder about those, Ba, but I thought they were a step too far. For me, I mean, not you! LOL.

Now you say they're comfortable, I shall have a re-think.

Pip - how do you do the weeding without kneeling down? Or don't you have any weeds in Oz?? ;-))

8 Oct, 2010

I'll know it's you if I ever walk up to an English door and see a batty looking lady wearing fetching kneepads ;o)

8 Oct, 2010

Hello all !!! It's Friday afternoon and I'm oh sooooo glad, can't wait to go home.
I use an old towel to kneel on in the garden, one that came back from a very nice holiday with me. I can imagine Ba wearing her knee pads with her Tankini.....Mmmm I think I'll give them a miss :-))))

8 Oct, 2010

Annella! It's so good to have you back! you have been missed my girl! Hi everyone, just popping in to see what you have all been up to... :~))x
Kneelers eh? My OH works in a foam factory, so our house dotted with old off cuts of foam, so my one's nice and thick...not that I want to boast at all of course...tee hee hee!
Glint in my eye, Pippin? I've got a full beam! lol! Lovely to see you all again...xxx

8 Oct, 2010

Ooh, Oooh Oooh! I'm so excited! I just posted the 800th comment!!!!!!!! Pip should be so impressed....What's the award for 800, Pip? :~)))X

8 Oct, 2010

Sounds like you've got your full beam on and your winkers (as my kids used to call indicators) Flori!!! 800th comment too, congrats & wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee from me to you :-))))))))))))

8 Oct, 2010

LOL! My 'winkers' are in fine fettle my friend...Oh How I have missed you,petal, and hoping to see Bloomer back on here soon too....Are you all de-bugged now, Annella, and back to your sprightly witty self? (Those aphids are a terrible problem...hahaha!)

8 Oct, 2010

Yes I'm bug free now, still got the worms though....

8 Oct, 2010

That must be the Tequila you imbided to get rid of the aphids, Annella! The worm is suppose to STAY in the bottle my friend...I shalll see if I have any spare Doctor Martin's de-wormer for you, and pop it over asap! LOL!X

8 Oct, 2010

Your so kind Flori, that would be a big help. It's amazing how they survive in such strong alcohol, in my stomach that is...hee hee

8 Oct, 2010

Off home now TFI Friday xxx

8 Oct, 2010

So good to have you back with us Annella! :~)))x

8 Oct, 2010

Glad to be back and I will try to keep up :-))))

8 Oct, 2010

Woooooo... I'm impressed - how abouta Tankini award, but I'm fast running out of ideas and I'm at work and the commonwealth games have been on Late Late, so I'm not at my best level of creativity lol
Tankini and Kneepads !! I love that image- that's so Ba...
Hey that's a good one actually...
Flori I give myself and you great pleasure to award you the first ever 'Tankini and Kneepads' award for 800 comments. Even more special because I'm using the dodgy work keyboard LOL ;o))))
Nice to see you two back, we have missed you. I've pmd you Flori :o)))))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
8 Oct, 2010
Can we call this the 'Annella award' Pip ,to compensate me for some of the images I have visualised of Ba's gardening kit.....please :-)))))) Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
8 Oct, 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

8 Oct, 2010

Why don't we make that 900??

8 Oct, 2010

Ok Pip I would be honoured, I like the Tankini & kneepad idea + I won't have to wait long LoL :-))

8 Oct, 2010

Yeah. won't have to wait long :o)

8 Oct, 2010

Well I have found my way back here, and am feeling warm and fuzzy....I've been catching up with your comments and now need a quiet lay down, is room 39 ready and waiting???

9 Oct, 2010

Congrats Flori on your 800th post award ' The Octotankini ' award. Well on your way to 900 now.
Glad you are feeling better Annella and you are now back to 'normal'....:-))))

9 Oct, 2010

Hi Janey - welcome to the madhouse! The men in white coats are lurking around in several areas of the UK, as well as in Oz. LOL.

9 Oct, 2010

Janey!!!!!!!! :~)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))X Oh it is sooooooooooo greatttttttttttttt to see you back here! Yes, I can imagine you must be on overload if you have been catching up on comments here, it just gets bigger and crazier by the day, and we have even corrupted poor Richardpeeej, so he is another lost cause being baffled and bewildered on here, though he does seem to be holding his own (Bloomer, Annella...behave! lol).....I can't tell you how excited I am to see you!
This blog has gone to over 800 posts, and there was Bloomer and I shutting it down at 200...it has taken on Frankensteinian proportions~a life of its very own!!!!
You can see how 'igor' we are to keep the nuttiness going onwards and upwards, lol.
Thank you for my 'Octotankini and knee pads award', for hitting the 800 mark everybody, I will be the fashion icon of west Wilts in that~eat your heart out Vivian Westwood! I wonder if we can get this too the 1000th comment...? Now that would be a challenge...My PC going into meltdown whenever I pull up this blog, as it is! hahaha :~))) We are still missing Bloomer, I am going to offer a reward if anyone can locate her and direct her back to us, poor soul, I think she's now heading up the escape commitee....Am chuffed to bits to see everyone still here~you all make my world so much brighter, who needs sunshine when I have you lot on here??? :~))))))))))))))))))))X

Ps, Pip I didn't receive your PM, hun, is it still over in Sidney?? PPs, Thank you for my award, I am speechless (Well, almost!) Tee hee hee!X

9 Oct, 2010

That'll be the day, Flori! No chance. (I'm glad to say!)

Time for another poem?

Oh where, oh where has the PM gone -
Oh where, oh where can it be?
We will all have to dig
A big hole in the ground -
For there, oh there it will be!

(P.S. a really, really deep one to get to Oz! LOL.)

9 Oct, 2010

Well,well,so much to catch up on....nice to see you are feeling better,Annella,and I knew you couldn't resist coming back to us,Janey...we are soooo irresistable..Lol.What a week I have had,..fantastic.Yorkshire Dales break was ace.Friends came to stay when we got back,so today is the first time I have got round to this.Wow,its amazing.Hi,Flori,Spritz,Pip and Richard..
Glad to see you guys are still keeping it going.I LOVE your Octankini and Kneepads award Flori...Knit me one for Christmas please Richard..I had hoped to get one for my recent birthday,but as you were busy scrubbing,I will forgive you...just this once..:o))

9 Oct, 2010

Hello Bloomer and thanks for your concern, I am now feeling back up to full power. I've had a lovely day in the garden planting with Spritz's shoehorn and having a good tidy up (soz to mention gardening on here but it was nice) I feel a bit deceived about the weather forecast though, I reckon we could do better girls, even in our tankinis....Oh and you Rich, bet you would be as good as Michael Fish (if not better)
Keep talking cos Pip has promised me 900 can be the 'Annella award' Wheeeeeeeeeeee....Very prestigious Flori, bit like a BAFTA Lol :-)))

9 Oct, 2010

Janey!! It's lovely to see you back. Your room is ready and waiting. See? I told you I would come and visit!!!
I'll try and send the Pm again - and just as an aside, Flori, could you not call me 'hun'? Sorry if I've offended you but I'm not entirely happy with the word at the moment, seeing as I've had a fight with a friend who used to call me 'hun' all the time... hope you understand :o)
Hi Richard! Good to see you in the madhouse too... but I woudln't call it corrupted, would you? Just liberated - LOL

10 Oct, 2010

liberated is the word Pip ..isn't there some item that is usually burned when this word is mentioned ..tankinis come to mind..lol ;-)
Well Flori my horticultural friend you are well on your way to the 900 or nonocentaur Annella award. :-)))
Oh I am good Annella ..but in what?? I must be better than Michael Fish in something ,,the mind boggles as to what it is though !
One knitted knee pad heading your way for Christmas, Bloomer, does it matter if there is a knee inside it also..attached to a leg.... and a body? lol ;-)

10 Oct, 2010

Rich I am sure you are better than Michael Fish on all fronts ,weather fronts, get it ? Yeahhhhh :-))))

10 Oct, 2010

Hey can you send one of those kneepads with knee, leg and body included over to me for Xmas? I'm putting in a request for a handsome buff-looking young male knee, leg and body in the kneepad - but I think you forgot to mention - does the knee, leg and body come with CLOTHING?????

10 Oct, 2010

Shock, horror - whatever next? What would the Customs Office do if this male knee + additions was sent...errr...unclothed? Arrest someone? Faint? The mind boggles!!!!!

11 Oct, 2010

Will look forward to the knitted kneepad with a shapely leg attached,as long as it is better than the one I already have,..or equally as good as the other one..I am very affluent,Richard,as I have two of them,you know.!!!..
I suggest you will need a mega roll of Christmas paper to send it,or maybe you could use lots and lots of Gardening vouchers,covered with Garden Fleece instead??..Lol.
I don't think Richard mentioned the sex of "The leg" Spritz,or the body to go with it...there you go again,making assumptions...wishful thinking on your part ?:o))
Does make you wonder though:Lol..Do you think he means himself? Methinks he is digging another big hole.!!!!
Pip,does it really matter if it's clothed? At least it will cover the knee,so modesty will prevail.:o)..

11 Oct, 2010

I don't mind if mine is a bit older and clothed, just think how useful that could be around the garden Spritz....Knee pads with an extra pair of hands. Not to sure about Pip intensions though :-)))

11 Oct, 2010

Hello Bloomer, we were syncronized then Lol :-))

11 Oct, 2010

Bloomer, you are back! And there was I offering a reward for your safe return to us! Am glad to hear that you had such a wonderful birthday my dear friend, I have missed you! :~))

Oops! Sorry Pip, promise I won't use that term of endearment again, I remember you telling me about a fall out recently, forgive me? :~(((((( Got your PM, by the way, will be in contact!
Thanks for the poem, Spritz, I can see you usurping my position as Flori Lauri at this rate! Richard is now taking (That date near the 3rd week of December) orders for his creative knitwear catalogue range...Have you and Ba gone into partnership, Rich? lol. I like the idea of the fitted body parts as well...do we get a choice of whose body???Tee hee hee!
Annella, I just can't believe you missed the obvious comment about Y fronts, and went for W fronts instead! Girl, alphabetically you are letting the side down! I was looking forward to a titter, or maybe that's just my humour....lol

I think a boggling mind would be the very least of their problems, Spritz, if that turned up at Customs....
Has anyone seen Ba, recently? Ba, where are you???

11 Oct, 2010

What the hell are Y fronts Flori????? Does Calvin Klein market them??? A vauge attempt to look young and trendy,but in my defense the last pair I saw were on my dad.......

11 Oct, 2010

You are having a laugh,Annella..Lol...go on,rub it in ,why don't you ? I must remind you that we are TYT's and at the very' front ' line in the fashion designs,young lady..I must also say Calvin Klein hasn't got the upper edge now,..with all the young men showing off with their label showing....WE have got our 'Sloggi's' and can show them off just as well above the knitted Polyester
trousers..so there !!!

11 Oct, 2010

Glad to see you as well,Flori...hope all is ok.I am just catching up a bit...such a busy life I lead...:o))))

11 Oct, 2010

Bloomer have you been out prowling on young men again, that will be the cruise then :-)))))

11 Oct, 2010

Could be,Annella...could well be...Lol...remember
Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke? ..ooh,young man !!!!!

11 Oct, 2010

Hey, Bloomer - it was Pip that mentioned her wish for a male leg, not me! Go back a few comments, and you'll see!

11 Oct, 2010

Flori!!!!! SO good to have you back, girl, and of course you're forgiven - you didn't know now, did you? Did you? LOL
What the heck are Sloggi's Bloomer?

I may be a TYT
but lost I be...
And Flori is sorry
for causing me worry.
Bloomer's getting mixed.
Someone get her fixed!
and Spritz is a poet
and doesn't know it!

11 Oct, 2010

Flori is dipping, in to see Pippin,
Annella is hunting to find Rich's Y fronting,
Bloomer, Fav GoY, needs a toyboy,
and Spritz is Our Spritz, our Somerset hit,
without who, this blog would have crumbled to bits.
And even Janey, our sweet, pops in for a peep,
and adds a quick post, before going to sleep!
But where is our Ba? Has she said ta ta?
Is she knitting Tankini's in her hand made bikini?
Or busy in kitchen, making linguini's,
or cruising for staff in her new Lamborghini?

D'you know Girls (and Rich), sometimes I just stun myself with my own talent!! Thank you Pip for getting me started...Tee hee hee! :~))X

11 Oct, 2010

Ohhh ha ha ha did you have to rub it in? LOL

11 Oct, 2010

you are right Spritz,so she did,
your forgiveness,I do beg,
I'd much prefer to see Henry's leg.!! :o))

12 Oct, 2010

Pip,...Sloggi's are very popular here....You are much too young to wear comfy underwear...but maybe one day.Lol.Bet you can't wait.:o))
.

12 Oct, 2010

Oh thank you for noticing I'm missing ... .. I might have been dead for all you care ..... don't worry about me...I'm ok NOW thank you for asking ..not!:-((

There may have been a terrible accident...my tankini may have unravelled in a public place and I may have been arrested for public indecency!! But don't you, my dear friends enquire...oh no....don't trouble your dear heads about little old me....don't ask if I need help in paying the fine..( all donations welcome) :-((((

12 Oct, 2010

Can't WAIT Bloomer!
I'll put a coupla bucks onya Ba... to put towards the fine of course!

12 Oct, 2010

Go on then Ba, where have you been?

12 Oct, 2010

Thank you Pip, but not quite sure what a buck is. Annella, I notice no mention of a donation??? Don't you believe me?? Due to my recent, unfortunate incident..ahem ...I am badly in need of funds, and unless my dear friends rally round...I may be forced to sell B.A.Travel!! Now you see how serious this is. It is no fun at my age (very young) to be branded a flasher in the local press. I have come to the sad conclusion that sabotage may be involved...a little snip here and there.....I'm not one to cast aspersions, but a certain Richard has set up a rival knitting company... and one can't help but wonder... Any donation over a fiver would be very welcome. :-l

12 Oct, 2010

Maybe you should sue Richard Ba, I hear he's making a packet out of his new line in knitted Y fronts and has orders from Oz for his knee pad + body idea...

12 Oct, 2010

Excuse me! I was worried, I even wrote wondering where you were in my brilliantly clever ditty, Ba! Where have you been? Have you been done for public indecency?Did you unravel on one of your travels? Recruiting Grannies for Tankini's R us? Expanding BA Travel across a Global Empire? I WAS WORRIED, HONEST! As to the others, well, they just did it inwardly.......

Ba has now returned,thinking no one cared,
that she was gone a while, did we notice she's not there?
But we had Goyers searching, hunting high and low,
Had Ba been abducted? Where did our dear Ba go?
Our nails are chewed, through worry, sleepless nights we had,
Scouring towns and country, it almost drove us mad!
What mystery of her whereabouts, now she has returned?
Ba, welcome back, good to have you home with us mentally infirmed!

(Well, I would have put 'challenged', but have tried to rhyme that??? LOL!)

12 Oct, 2010

How did you two sneak in whilst I was busy composing yet another stunning witty ditty? You weren't there a moment ago....Ba, I think a buck, is a male Stag, don't quite know how it would help towards the fine, but it is almost the Festive season (See? I didn't mention Christmas now, did I???Oops!) is almost upon us, they could always use him towards raising funds for the Policeman's Ball!

The latest headlines in the news, say that Ba's a Flasher,
her Company could soon be crisp, just like a bacon rasher!
Could sabotage be evident, is Richardpeej to blame?
Could he have had a little snip,and destroyed our good Ba's name?
Surely not, it cannot be,not one to drop a wink,
but once sodden, spun, and pulled about,
I think Tankins shrink!!!
We must dig deep, dear fellow GoYs, and help raise a donation,
does our poor Ba deserve to live with a soiled reputation?
And BA Travel, now at risk, to sell, it cannot be,
or back to flaming Flying Carpets, and the demise of B. A. T!!!

12 Oct, 2010

Just you be careful, thinking about those flying carpets! I'm going to a Parish Council Meeting tonight, and guess who's coming to give a talk?

Only The NUCLEAR POLICE, that's all! So - should I warn them about you lot? No, on second thoughts, they might be watching out with their machine guns pointed at the sky to the east - or west - or south - or north. Now I'm confused as to your route. Who's last on the pick-up list?

12 Oct, 2010

I think me and Ba are safe Spritz....

12 Oct, 2010

Hmmmm~methinks that I might be last on the pick up......:~((((((((((((((((((( lol

12 Oct, 2010

Yes but Spritz didn't say if that was good or bad now did she...If we are all on the carpet are they going to select the last pick up or blow the lot up ????

12 Oct, 2010

I think Ba Is bankrupt...sorry and all that but...

12 Oct, 2010

Don't you worry Annella, we just stock up on Eggy Bread missiles! Spritz and I have been here before~She is launching the Ground attack, while we are launching the Air one~these poor lads don't stand a chance! :~))))X
Ps, Love the new avatar, that will send Rich's blood pressure up...Tee hee hee! I would change mine, but I really do look like this, just ask Ba! I'm adorable aren't I, and with such a waggy tail too.... :~))))))))X LOL!

12 Oct, 2010

I'm sure you are all very beautiful, Raff certainly is.The pic was me on a good day in Spain two years ago, the hair is shorter now but that is me (slightley heavier now but don't tell anyone Flori)
I am very encouraged to here about our defenses and also like the idea of throwing missiles xxx

12 Oct, 2010

Poor you,Ba,I would love to help you out financially,but as a impoverished pensioner who had to save her fuel allowance since it started.,for a cruise,..and had to freeze every winter since,I might add,...I can only offer you sympathy,my dear,and some leftover wool,to try and get more orders out than Richard....

12 Oct, 2010

Don't you worry Ba, I will sell my body to the scientific research unit just so we can keep BA Travel up and running! Will £9.50 help get you out of the red and back into the black? We need to start a campaign: S. O. B. E. R~Save Our BAT Emergency Rescue fund....

Glad to hear that you liked our defences Annella, generally they can be found in degarden, next to deborders! LOL! :~)))X

12 Oct, 2010

I spend most of my time in degarden working on deborders, now I might have to go to depark to raise Ba defunds to clear her name, won't be that quick now so see you soon, I hope.....love you all and I'm sure it will be worth it in the d-end :-))

12 Oct, 2010

A buck is a dollar, Ba. Not Prancer, Dancer, Flasher, Rudolph or Zippy or whatever they are called. Reindeer! That's it. That's what they're called. Have I dazzled you all with my brainpower?
Love the avater Annella :o)

Ba's very poor
Spritz prepares for nuclear war

Not quite sure why.
Rich's blood pressure is up...so's BAT's survival - up in the air, that is.
Sounds like BAT is turning into shock,horror a magic carpet company - Coir, anyone?

Just back from watching a Chilean miner be extricated..... fantastic :o)))))))))

13 Oct, 2010

I tried to print this blog, for posterity - then realised it was 105 pages long.

13 Oct, 2010

Now THAT's really good news! I must put the TV on and watch.

The Nuclear police don't fire at carpets over-flying the Power Station, by the way, they radio to the RAF, who fly fast to intercept 'norty people' who might be terrorists! See - I was listening to the talk last night!

So just watch out - missiles thrown overboard onto the uniforms below will have no effect.

13 Oct, 2010

I'll bear that in mind I i am ever batty enough to venture into you r part of the world. I might get mugged by knitting, tankini clad, Clem toting warriors who strangle people with steel wool and use an innocent gardening website to discuss their top secret plans in plant-related code.

13 Oct, 2010

Too right Pip...who needs Trident. Thank you my dear friends for your valiant fund raising effort. I'm deeply touched. :-} BAT is saved!! I can stand my disgrace and hold my head high in the knowledge that I was the innocent victim of malice. It is fortitude like mine that made this country great, and, of course, generosity such as was shown by you wonderful Goyers,....but enough about you..... I saw an amazing thing this morning. My pond has been the playground of loads of pond skaters, but these last few days they have almost disappeared...a mystery... solved today. I watched in amazement as a little wren tried, as I thought, to get a drink from the edge of the pond...and having no success kept moving round the edge and reaching down with its beak. Then success... up it came, with, as it happens, the last pond skater..dropped it on the pond surround ,and ate it! What a hunter! :-) Now decipher that my little Pipkin:-)

13 Oct, 2010

Think you had better warn Torville and Dean about those wrens, they could be skating on thin ice, Ba! Boom boom! (That's from Basil Brush, should you lot be too young to recall!)
Excuse me~not that I am being pedantic here, young Ba, but I did you two wonderful ditties par excellence...and said I would sell my body for science just to help raise funds to keep BA Travel operational, and do I get acknowledged for my sacrifice? I think not! Pip was going to send you one of Santa's reindeer, and Bloomer didn't have a spare bean, and Annella thought the company was a forgone goner, and Rich has gone into hiding cos of the possible impending law suit against him (Knitted, of course). Spritz, the wisest of us all, just held her own counsel!
I mean, not that I am pointing fingers here...BUT...

13 Oct, 2010

Excuse me Flori, I've just spent a night in the park trying to raise funds for Ba...........No takers unfortunatly, must be losing some of my charm..

13 Oct, 2010

Flori, I certainly appreciated your efforts and you poems just get better and wittier, and I rhapsodise about your turn of phrase....happy now lol? Annella, at least you tried. Were you wearing your see through silk tankini? Thought so, always a mistake. Men, my dear, like a little mystery. Try sticking some cabbages or sprouts in relevant places...you will know which size is right for you...they'll be queueing up. if you need any more advice, please feel free to ask. and thank you again:-)

13 Oct, 2010

LOL, LOL.......I'm getting hysterical here........oh dear......I can't type for giggling!

13 Oct, 2010

I might try that on OH tonight before I go out in public, should be able to gauge his reaction. Thanks for the tip Ba and control yourself Spritz..

13 Oct, 2010

Just a thought,Annella,..why don't you wait till Halloween,and display your Pumpkins ??..that should be a good fund raiser!!. A word of warning though..don't display them on bonfire night,and ask for a Penny for the Guy...Ba hasn't the time to be counting all those Lol.

13 Oct, 2010

Ah bless you Ba, my feathers less ruffled, or should that Raffled! Annella, trying to raise funds on a chilly Autumn eve in your local park might mean you end up with more than you bargain for...frostbite for one! I know that the trees are being stripped of their leaves as Winter approaches, but you just might be taking this Autumnal theme a little further than advisable!
Mind you, if you are going for the more fruit and veg look, Harvest Festival has just passed us by, I'm sure there must be some leftover bits and bobs, just make sure that they are not over ripe....urgh, very messy!

Spritz, was that giggling or googling you were up to.....? lol! :~)))x

13 Oct, 2010

From what Ba said I'm looking for bits and 'boobs' Flori :-))))

13 Oct, 2010

Oh yeah, and where is Rich? Do you think my avatar has scared him off? Should I go back to being a flower.....

13 Oct, 2010

Excuuuuuuuse me Flori - Basil Brush used to be my most favouritist tv show when I was little!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe it's still running on Aussie tv sets......
Just realised that sounded a bit funny - I mean the programme is still running... not Basil Brush. lol.

Pumpkins in spring, eh? A foreign concept ;o)
Definitely go back to a flower Annella, maybe then Rich will come back! I could formulate some theories about where he is, of course, but they would end in tears! {For him, not me.} And why are you even showing off your pumpkins? Haven't you got one of those marvellous tankinis, why don't you show that off instead - play nicely now dear! LOL.

13 Oct, 2010

Don't worry ladies, I have spoken to Richard, after he was released from the secure lock up, and he is popping in on Thursday to see what we have all been up to, which means I better lie low, (no, not the inflatable kind, Annella!), cos I think I might be in so much trouble! Tee hee hee! :~))))x

14 Oct, 2010

Li Lo Flo hee hee hee ;^)))

14 Oct, 2010

Put your flower on for thursday then Ann :o)))
Ooooh I hate this new layout, it's taking so long to type a single blinking comment - I'm now writing the comment on Word and pasting it onto the comment space - you live and learn.

14 Oct, 2010

Hello everyone. I have been abroad to see if they can manufacture my knitted knee warmers for less bucks, so I had to learn a new language. Here goes.... I can speeka zee goood now I likazee new avata Annella butta oooommmaaa cord!!! zee bloodaprezzure eeet izzaa verra high and ammma feeela zooo hotta!!! Whezza Flori?? zhee is ina bigga trubbble!!
:-))

14 Oct, 2010

So you went to Ireland then Rich....

14 Oct, 2010

I think it is all to do with his fajitas, Annella, it has sent our Richard rather continental.....Oh dear! I had a feeling that I would be in trouble with him....no-one tell him that you've seen me, ok? I wasn't 'ere!.......... :~))x

14 Oct, 2010

Ok Li Lo Flo xx

14 Oct, 2010

I have a headache from the new colour-system, so I won't be commenting a lot today - sorry! I'm finding this new glaring white all too much. Boo hoo! xx

14 Oct, 2010

Just you watch it, Annella!lol, I don't get mad, I just get even.....nuttier!
Yes, Spritz, I am partially sighted, and the glare of this white really makes my eye ache....There has been a few remarks made on this change....Not too keen on the blue either.....Can you tone it all down a bit, fellers? :~((

14 Oct, 2010

Same here girls, I can't do very long on here now without a break, I want the old GOY back :-(((((( Noooooooo Wheeeeeeee tonight.......Maybe Ba can organise magic specs so we can see this in small print too, I feel like a kid again reading Ladybird books at school..

14 Oct, 2010

I have eyesight problems too Flori,but the bigger print is much better for me.I don't like the blue either,but don't mind the white,but after looking at it for some time now,it is a bit..in your face...I think a creamy shade may be a bit less harsh,if its possible to have that.

14 Oct, 2010

Hi Bloomer my dear friend! Poor Ajay and Peter are taking some flack for the colour scheme...I just added my 10 pence worth too. Don't mind the larger print, or even new layout, and LOVE the new bigger size photos, but this blue and white a struggle for me, as, it seems, the majority. Have toned down my Monitor screen to make it a grubby grey, but would love to see the green back again! Not many happy smiling faces on GOY tonight, which is a pity, 'cos all of this change over must have been hard work for Ajay and Peter....

14 Oct, 2010

I think it would be good to have a dark background and light letters that should work so well. Better still if we can choose our own colour scheme from a few different ones. Would this be possible Ajay and Peter? this one is a bit glaring for me also, but the new layout with larger letters is fine for me too. :-))
maybe I should have put this post somewhere where Peter and Ajay can see it and not used Flori's Somerset blog ;-))

14 Oct, 2010

FOr heaven's sake, this is ridiculous, what happened to my comment of yesterday?? It has disappeared - and , worse, in it was a warning for Annella to put her flower on for Thursday - You feeling okay, Rich?
I'm sorry to disregard all P+A's hard work, but this is ridiculous... am having to write the comment on Word and paste it to the blog because it takes too long to write... sorry boys!

14 Oct, 2010

Just saw old comment, maybe it wasn't gone after all arghh

15 Oct, 2010

I am Ok thanks Pip sent you a message yesterday and that seems to have disappeared now. I said about your missing post being about 12 posts above. Hope you are well and having better weather than we are here in the UK it is so cold here at the moment. :-)

15 Oct, 2010

I don't like it either, it feels weird not seeing what you type, when you type.....and I too hate the glare:-(

15 Oct, 2010

Fellow loons and nutters, this will be the 892 post, and we are almost at the 'Annella award' of 900 comments! I know the majority of us are struggling with the new changes, but we all could do with a smile :~)) Someone, add something funny....Ba, Bloomer, Pip, Rich, Spritz, Annella, Janey, if you are out there! Let's do what we Brits (and Aussies) do best in adversity, chin up, chest out, (Rich, behave!), and brightest smiles, fixed like bayonets! We will overcome my fellow Goyers! We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them on the land....(Whaddiya mean it's teatime, and will have to wait till after???? Come backkkkkkkkkk!) LOL!

15 Oct, 2010

893... Come on you lot hurry up, I deserve an award for joining this blog!!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

15 Oct, 2010

15 Oct, 2010

Flori, I hereby award you the "Who's Annella You" Award...
Name respectfully suggested by Flori... don't know why.
Congrats on your AAAAA Award Annella :o))))))

15 Oct, 2010

Hi Rich... nice to see you - didn't get your message...

15 Oct, 2010

I've just had my computer fixed, it was making noises and freezing so I had to keep turning it off from the tower. It had become so bad that I could only have it on for a minute and it would happen. I haven't been able to watch you tube for about 6 months as it would freeze. The lovely boy (about 12 years old) took it away and fixed it. Brought it back same day. "What was the problem?" I asked, trying to look as though I would understand. Oh the shame ....It was caused by dust ,which was so bad as to jam the fan:-(( I didn't even know there was a fan, that explains the funny noise...Ba the slattern!! Cost me £40 including vat, cheap at half the price, whatever that means. After he left, I rushed around the house hoovering and generally cleaning up:-(

16 Oct, 2010

You're welcome Annella, nice to see you too Pip.
You can bring that hoover over here Ba and run around with it at anytime!

16 Oct, 2010

Can you hoover PCs, then? I don't. Oh dear - maybe this one will explode, as well!

I have nose-out-of-jointitis. Who was it that told you all about pressing the 'end' and 'home' keys? ME. ME. ME.

Who got the credit? NOT me. NOT me. NOT me. Boo hoo!

I'm off - this glare is killing me. I'm going to bite my elephant again. Bye! \./ \./ \./ (Waves)

16 Oct, 2010

Waving not drowning Spritz? Are they going to do something about the glare? What can we do to convince them to do so? Richard, you may have guessed that I'm a messy devil, so do your own hovering lol:-)

16 Oct, 2010

No, I'm still taking breaks between each short session outside. It's not nearly so cold as it was on Thursday, so that's better. I 'was' waving, honest! I haven't been in the stream today, though I need to to cut back more plants there. :-((

I don't know if P&A are going to help over the glare. I do hope so! It's just awful. :-((

\./ \./ \./

16 Oct, 2010

I agree Spritz, you gave me that invaluable piece of information and they have taken my Wheeee response too....We have been sold out :-((

16 Oct, 2010

Ladies, ladies, (oh, and of course, our Richard!), it's good to see you all on here, despite the intense glare bouncing off our eyeballs! I am the same as Spritz, just getting bad headaches and can't stay on here for long till this gets sorted and we are back to normality again....whatever That is! Thank you for the 9ooth comment award Pip, and Annella, who it was named after, I am indeed humbled. Thank you, Richard, for so graciously awarding it, I am deeply touched.....tee hee hee! :~))X

16 Oct, 2010

I strongly believe you will see a 1000th Flori...and we are worth it, as the advert tells us :-))))) + Wheeeeeeeeee just because....Some one Knicked it .....but whatever

16 Oct, 2010

OK, OK. Yes, they did. However, I'm a forgiving soul, so I forgive whoever it was, mentioning no names, naturally, but "You Know Who You Are".................lol.

16 Oct, 2010

We all know Spritz........

16 Oct, 2010

Poor Rich is hovering all on his lonesome - methinks I might join him.... hovering sounds like fun... LOL

16 Oct, 2010

One little mistake and I'm ridiculed!!! Anyway it may not have been a mistake...I may have inadvertently let slip a new little project of mine, so there Miss Pipkin8~P

17 Oct, 2010

You will note, Ba, that I did not ridicule you about your hovering...Cos I am your friend.....(and I was too busy rolling around on the floor laughing, to get to my keyboard!) I quite fancy levitating, myself, are we back to Janey's flying carpets again? Actually, with cutbacks being the way that they are, I think it has been trimmed down to just a Runner now! lol!
Actually, Spritz, I recently had 'Nose-severely-out of Jointitis' too, but Ba grovelled so appealingly, that I forgave her....
Hello there Pip, and Richard.....:~)))x
I love the waving, by the way!
Thank you, Annella, I believe that we can reach a 1000 too, what an achievement that would be for all of us! :~)))x

17 Oct, 2010

I would love to bring back the old magic carpets, too, by the way... for a moment I thouht Janey was back on board and could have lent us one.. but no luck. :o(((
The waving was a Spritz invention - but I helped!! Hee Heeee
Have Pm'd you, FLori -but I expect you already know that. :o))))
~~~~~~
Wheeeeee
18 Oct, 2010
\./ \./ \./
18 Oct, 2010
Pip, your PM has gone adrift again...I haven't received it :~(((
Spritz, I think all that waving that you are doing is really with batons to guide Janey's magic Flying Runner into land,personally! Shall I put on the landing lights again? Tee hee hee! :~))
Hey, we've now got a dark green edging...........! Has to be better than blue! Thank you Ajay!!!
18 Oct, 2010
I can see the landing lights from here Flori, they show up better against the green...Wheeeeeeeeeeee~~~~~~~~~~~~
18 Oct, 2010
Hip,hip,Hooray,is what we say,
For flori's blog,and Annella's 5 A's
The waves from Spritz
Had me in fits (laughter,not the blue colour)
So did Ba,oh my,what can I say?
Hovering over her keyboard today,
Trying her best to get rid of the dust,
It could have been worse,as its better than rust.!!
Hi,guys,hope we are all happy with the green now ,let's go forward with optimism to the big 1000.:o))))
18 Oct, 2010
This is Racing Car Green isn't it, or the green baize you find on a Snooker table...much better than Blue!!!
Hello Annella and Bloomer!
'Bloomer now has penned a verse, that had me here in fits of mirth,
She got all subjects in there too, Annella's A's, and fits of blue!
Spritz's waving got a mention, 'cos to us, a new invention!
Even Ba, though hot and bothered, now cleans off dust, each time she hovered!
And even I got put in print, cos it was my blog, that started int!
Now a colour so less clashing, has us now to Ajay dashing,
to give our thanks, we sing their praise,
The borders now like Snooker Baize! ':~))X
18 Oct, 2010
Just love the new green colour! It's so nice.... not to feel like I'm stuck in a fridge.
I'll send that PM again, Flori - I hate it when that happens :o((((
(So you will soon be recieving Julia Gillard in a padded bag - be warned! LOL)
18 Oct, 2010
Hi all and a wave to everyone.
The darker colour background is much better too and not so glaring. ;-)
19 Oct, 2010
Hi Pip, and lovely to see you on here too, Richard, I thought we had lost you my dear friend! Pip, got your pm....Didn't anyone like my witty ditty? I thought it was funny...but that might just be me....Hi everybody!!!\0/...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm waving tooo!\0/ x
19 Oct, 2010
Very good Flori, as always hun ~~~~~~~~~Whee & \0/ x
19 Oct, 2010
Where's my comment? Another one gone, is there a comment thief on here?:-(
19 Oct, 2010
Just be patient,flori lauri, YES,I LIKED IT!!! Ok?.Lol...Its only a day away...as the song goes..:o)\0/ &Whee....
19 Oct, 2010
Us artistic types need a little recognition, lol.We are like rare and delicate flowers, raising our heads into the sun...(Well, for heaven's sake..this is a gardening site, after all, so I'm coming over all horticultural...hee hee!) I enjoyed my wheeeeeee, Annella, might even do it again...here goes..WHEEEEEEEEE!\0/
Hi Bloomer, Hi Ba!
19 Oct, 2010
I came across a little poem recently and thought it seemed appropriate.
By the badger setts of sorrow,
Past the Morrisons supermarket,
Stands the cottage of Spritzhenry,
Honouring two dogs, Spritz Henry.
And her garden filled with wonders,
Rare and lovely shrubs and flowers,
Tended by the hand of Barbara,
prinked and prettified for hours.
Came with camera Floribunda,
Named for roses, floribunda,
Started something weird and magic,
Flights of fancy, words of madness,
Blossomed like the lovely flowers,
Prinked and prettified for hours.
When we're old and in our dotage,
We'll remember Barbara's cottage,
Think how all the words of madness,
Kept us entertained for hours,
Laughter blossomed like the flowers,
Prinked and prettified for hours.
B.A. Short A
20 Oct, 2010
Lovely poem Ba....
YES I LIKED YOUR DITTY TOO FLORI
But I liked Ba's poem beter. LOL.
20 Oct, 2010
But there's only one way to find out......FIGHT!!!! For those who are not fans of Harry Hills TV Burp...this will make no sense. I don't suppose you've heard of it either Pip..so I don't know why I bothered:-)
20 Oct, 2010
Flori, I love your poems, they are always witty and uplifting. I think others on here deserve an honourable mention too, if only I could remember who...ha. For some reason, my poem makes me feel sad, perhaps thinking of my dotage lol...nearly there:-) Or perhaps thinking of the end of this blog, I don't know how much longer we can carry it on before the cyber police close us down for illegal banter. Is there such a thing as a cyber prison? Oooh eck, we may all end up in there:-( Still...thinking about it...it would be a laugh wouldn't it:-))
Oh Ba, I think I must pass on my Lauri crown to you...I LOVED YOUR POEM! My witty ditties pale into insignificance in comparison...
Thank you Pippin, for your back handed compliment....I know that you meant well...sob!
Ba, you so far from your dotage it is a joke! It is a bitter sweet poem though, but absolutely heart touching....you one gifted lady. Running a multi international transport company, a fashion icon with your Tankini range, and a Hover project in the pipeline, And you still get time to pen poetry ...I am indeed humbled in your presence.......
I am determined that we will reach the 1000 comments, cyber police or not! I won't go down without a fight....but as Bloomer and I agreed that we would bring this to a close at 200 posts, I think that it has very much taken on a life all of it's own!
By the way, I have 'met' a new GOY, he's called 'Geranium dad', and has his own site for poetry, and he is very funny if any of you want to check him out, he sounds like a lovely guy....his poetry will make you chuckle....
Onward and upwards my fellow loons.....\0/ xxxxx
Who the heck is Harry hills TV burp anyway?
21 Oct, 2010
My dear Pipkin, Harry Hill used to be a doctor, now he's something else. He has a program which.. erm...makes fun of other programs and people sent in knitted animals and had to spot one particular knitted character in other programs. On every program there is a fight, often between say..a person in a banana skin and erm another in a cup of tea costume, to sort out which is best. I hope you now understand...simples. How strange you antipodeans are:-] \./ yoo hoo Bloomer Annella Spritz Janey Pam Richard. Where is everybody?
21 Oct, 2010
Good morning Ba.I wonder if we are experiencing a bit of 'white page Syndrome'..? mine still looks very white,so haven't been on as much,..although the green borders are much better..just gets a bit hard if I'm on for a while,as before...apart from that,no other problems...will wave to you,my friend \o/ \o/..:o))
Flori, you are our Poet Laureate, I have only written one and it was a downer lol. Just as everyone has a book in them...I had this poem...it just popped out. As a child, I was in the Liverpool Schools Choir (rubbish voice, but could remember words). We were taught by Mr Jenkins, leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and we performed in the Philharmonic hall. Proud parents took their children to 'Paddy's Market' to buy a worthy, second hand outfit for the stage colour theme. One year we 'did' Hiawatha's Wedding Feast, Longfellow, and I admit I have plagiarised it a little lol. I always got mixed up with Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Samuel Coleridge Taylor, the former wrote the music and was one of our forgotten black composers. His father named him in honour of Coleridge Taylor. It was a fantastic idea and I loved all the music, I wonder if it still happens? I'll Google it:-)
Ba - I loved your poem. I was about to say that it was like 'Hiawatha' when you said it. It's very appropriate for this area - Coleridge lived in a cottage 3 miles from here - his cottage is a National Trust Property. He wrote poems like 'The Ancient Mariner' here, and he had a circle of poet friends who came here to stay and walk the hills. There's a walk of 40 miles called 'The Coleridge Way'.
Just up our lane is a large house where his benefactor lived - they all used to congregate there.
How about that!
21 Oct, 2010
I get it Ba.. sort of like a British Chasers....
21 Oct, 2010
Hi Spritz, not so apt, as I see you've mixed up Taylor Coleridge and Coleridge Taylor just as I always did lol. The music was by Samuel Coleridge Taylor and the poem by Longfellow, hence B.A Short A. I'm so pleased you liked my poem, did it make you sad too? Hope you're feeling better??:-) Pip...no not at all, but I don't mind if I do :-)
No I didn't! How very dare you! (LOL) There was me, trying to inject some 'culcher' into Flori's blog, plus some history, and anyway, you can't help but know which one was which when you get escorted round his cottage. They do keep a close eye on you there...not sure why! There's not much to pinch.....lol.
I'm trying to think which other famous poets came here to stay...I may have to do some research on that.
I 'am' feeling better, if not completely, thank you. I'm off to tie a damp towel round my head to help me think and research. \./ \./ \./
22 Oct, 2010
Lol Spritz, I've just gone back and read what I had written...got them mixed up again8~/ Coleridge Taylor wrote the music.. doh. Perhaps it was Coler Taleridge...oh nooo, Can I use the persons from Porlock excuse?:-) As to famous poets, don't forget Short A lives very near where I live:-) Can we have a pic of you in your damp towel? B.A.Fashion is always on the look out for original trendy fashion accessories:-)
Hello, Pip, Bloomer, Ba and Spritz, and Richard, wherever you are!
This is all getting very highbrow for me, I am well out of my league what with poets and composers and long walks and general confusion, which in my case, really doesn't take a lot!
Now, Harry Hill, that is a required taste! Makes me have even greater concerns for our National Health Service when I know that he use to be a doctor~SCARY! This 'culcher' stuff leaves me floundering....ooh I wonder if there is a ditty in there somewhere?Tee hee hee!
I see that Ba is still after your fashion tips, Spritz! She is a sneaky one that Ba...you've got to keep an eye on her you know.....
Bloomer, you are much missed on these posts......I need all the help I can get!! \0/lolX
Hello Bloomer :-))))))))
22 Oct, 2010
Well - you 'should' remember the poor old mariner, as it's a lesson to us all not to go round killing off albatrosses, whatever they look like, LOL. I don't think i've seen one on my bird table - how about you?
I ab-so-lute-ly refuse to post a photo of my new fashion accessory - it's far too scary. I'd get flagged, I'm sure! ;-((
Hello everyone! Is this the clan gathering of Nutty Loons? I am fine, thanks Ba....Annella, lovely to see you, and Bloomer and Spritz...anyone seen Richard recently? I know the one about;
'Mary had a little lamb, it stood next to a pylon, a thousand watts shot up his tail, and turned it's wool to Nylon'!
See how 'culchured ', I am lol \0/X
