Gardening journey

Well, getting on with making my countryish garden, this week I bought 12 perrenials for £10 – a bit worse for wear (and some smallish) but they’ll be great given time.
Also my friend brought some lemon thyme which, planted in a corner where the flag was removed, covers the hard edges and a couple of other which i don’t know the name of at the mo.
The ones I’ve bought over the last couple of weeks are lupin, silene alprestris (little white flowers which look gorgeous in front of a big high bunch of deep red daisies which i haven’t got the name for because they didn’t have a little plastic istruction card). Trollius cheddar, campanula white and blue, (which i love) poppy, white bells, nemesia a couple of dephiniums, fox groves and pink dwarfs. all at bargain prices. My friend brought a few from his garden and picked up some bargains for me too.
What a list! Doesn’t seem that many in the garden at the moment but I know they’ll build up and spread out – it already looks loads better than it did a few weeks ago.

That’s me in a nutshell and I think i’ll use this blog to put things down as they happen just for my own record. Wish i’d done it from the beginning.

That sounds like a good start. The gaps soon grow less but it sounds as if you have been well and truly bitten by the gardening bug? I shall look forward to your updates on your progress. Meanwhile keep watering and above all enjoy your garden. Re lost labels, if you put photos on here someone nearly always knows what it is because they have one.

Sounds like you are really enjoying yourself, I believe the more you put into the garden (time and effort) it gives back to you ten fold in satisfaction and pleasure. Keep planting, watering and weeding and please post some photos. Look forward to your updates.
