Work in Progress

I haven’t contributed for a while ‘cos, strange to say, I’ve been working hard in the garden.

In my last blog (“Making Life Easy”) I’d said how we’d decided to completely re-vamp the front of the house; make a path, build walls and create a new lawn.

The lawned area is approx 700 sqft and we used the subsoil from some ditch digging as a base and we’re bringing the earth from the hundreds of molehills in the meadow (at least they’re of some help) to give us a topsoil depth of about 10cm (4" in real money)…..

Sadly the work, owing to my undergoing surgery, took longer than anticipated and we will have to wait until next spring to seed.

However, the following photos show how we’re progressing….

Still impressive even if you haven't quite finished.

Gracious, what a difference - that looks like extremely hard work - the finished product should be lovely.

Thanks for the encouragement....Gardens, like 'painting the Forth Bridge', are never finished. However, it's a labour of love...
