Morning bee spotters, (have you seen any yet?)

Well the suns out the dogs are all playing ball and ive just come back from buying a nice warm french stick loaf ,

Now the french never rush “no” if they can walk rather than run ! they will, and when it comes to the likes of christmas time they’ll do that little bit to make you feel like its christmas,

Having a santa holding on to the chimney pot, climbing up the roof with his bag full of toys, great idea’s (but leading to bad timing ones)

These santas can be seen all through the year after christmas and then its a case of "well i’ll leave them there now because we’re nearly there , christmas nearly there again & again year in year out and so santa stays on the roof for ever more,

Well while driving back this morning i saw the french idea of a calling sign to really stand out!!!!!!!!!!

Some body has put a “Loo” complete with open seat & full of geraniums outside their garden gate with a statue of a little boy peeing into the loo!!! and santas still on their roof half blown off with his pink backside sticking out (like he’s needing the loo “but not for a pee”!!!!!

Ive seen old boots on door steps used as planters, old wheel barrows used as planters, “But toilets”????

Well must go my toast is ready and i need the loo.

(What odd planters have you seen?)

That really made me smile! Sounds like the French are more like us than we care to believe!

Many years ago in Stoke on Trent there was a garden festival, the area is called the Potteries and one of the waterfeatures was a cascade made entirely from toilets.........

Saw a Bee in my potting shed this morning.Huge Bumble Bee.He obviously got caught in there last night when my wife shut the door.Made sure I shooed him out this morning before it got too hot in there.

Plenty of Christmas lights left up on people's houses around here(and in the local town centre) but, no bare bottomed Santas, fortunately!!

Found a lovely Peacock butterfly in my shed this afternoon, must have woken up with the warmer weather, seem keen to go out so hope he will be OK.

Two bumblebees in the garden, and two peacock butterflys woken up in the garage and asking to be let out. Less pleasant a couple of big wasp like things, one outside and one in the kitchen

Well, I once thought I was looking at a Hornet, it was quite big, but turned out it was a hover fly....I'm not sure how big Hornets are of if I've ever seen one, to be honest!!!

We have had Hornets in our garden Paul they look quite like a wasp but are 4 x bigger about 2" long , hover flies look more like skinny wasps I think ! I put photos on last year when we had a plaque of them they covered everything ...

This Hover Fly was different to the normal small ones! I posted a pic(on here I think, or maybe Gardenersclick) and someone informed me it was a variety of Hover Fly so I googled it and indeed it was!!!!
