Hi folks,
Well as i said this morning the weather here in frnace is wet, and so as life here is like going back 50 years ie we have a libiary thats only open two half days a week we decided to go and see what books have come in and what on in the local area,

This sunday a “brocante” (car bootsale come flee market)
is to take place 15 miles from us,
Now for those who may not have heard of a french “brocante” let me explain.
These markets are held in the open in little hamlets of a local square, Now the french think anything old is worth millions but having said this you can get some smashing pots and plant pot holders for next to nothing, "they may be a bit rusty but for the sake of a little work and paint you’ll have a very unusual metal plant holder etc,
The same goes for tools, with this being a farming area you get a lot of home made items and again with a little effort you can have an old cart wheel cleaned up and using the pot holders turn this old wheel into a really nice looking plant display, “hanging geraniums looks great”

And so this sunday im hoping to go and have a good find on the rusty stalls.
Wish me luck.

Do they sell the old water troughs animals used? They make lovely sink gardens.

Hope you find some treasures Dungy, I'd love a cartwheel but would cost the earth around here, I do have an old wheel off a railway carriage that is now part of my planter for my garden..
