Visited Merriments garden ( no house) near Hawkhurst on the Kent and East Sussex border today.
It is a lovely garden mostly devoted to perennials and flowering shrubs. It is great to see how plants can look and shows how close together perriennials can be. it also has a very good selection of plants for sale and a nice cafe with shop. Cannot wait to get my camera back!
It was such a lovely day took a book and read for an hour in among the scents-
yes I have been before and its and it has lots of hidden seating.

I was thinking of going there today!
I wanted to visit three other nurseries so decided I didn't have time to get to Merriments as well. Hope you didn't buy everything there drc?

Sounds lovely...we have a good place to go with a book near us...Stourhead in Wiltshire...it's nice to escape sometimes!

We dont really have a nice place to go sit and read near us that is why I have created my 'quiet space' in the garden, but it sounds heaven to just sit and .... well just sit and take in the surroundings. Where has your camera been Drc?
