Longest day

I don't like the thought of short winter days either :(
but we won't notice any big change for a while, so enjoy the long evenings while they last ... There's still a light glow in the western sky here and it's 11.30 in the night lol :o)

Yes you probably will :) It's no good worrying about it, even though it isn't a nice thought.

As you all know I hate summer for many reasons. Many things happen in the summer I don't like. Today is a humid day, I feel very uncomfortable, I opened the window a little and inside are all the big flies making this unbearable noise. They won't get out, doesn't matter how hard you try and you have to kill then in the end. My favorite season is autumn. I love the mild and fresh weather, I love seeing the leaves changing colour. I love everything of it.

It is definitely the best time of year and it has been an outstanding June this year so far.

I am trying not to even think of it not being summer any longer!!!

Hi, I agree, it always depresses me to think that the days are going to get shorter, and.the nights longer, it also emphasizes how quickly the year is flying by,and how little you have managed to get done, that you had determined to do this year, Derek.

I know the days are going to get shorter - very slowly - but there's still a lot of daylight left. Here on the west coast, there's still some light up to 11 and after, if the sky is clear. Amazing! But time goes so quickly - we have a summer flower show here. An old friend of mine used to say "Well - that's the flower show over, there's only Christmas and then it'll be the flower show again!"

ts been a great sunny day here which has helped.

I don't mind. The reason is, xmas is coming, and people tend to get on and enjoy each other's company rather than fighting and abusing each other. What a life. Oh well best go outside and talk to my plants.
