‘Sprouts could be a Christmas hit as a Cambridgeshire farmer gives the vegetable a novel twist’ I read this morning! He has developed a red one which will be in the shops for Christmas.
I love sprouts. the only one in my family who does. So I am looking forward to trying them

(I hate them ... can't stand the smell of them lol ... The only Brassica I can eat is raw cauliflower.)

Oh come on Hywel, nothing like young tender sprouts tossed in butter and a little black pepper, yummy.
Dont like the thought of Red ones though Drc, they would clash with the carrots.lol.

Sorry Stroller and Dido, but the smell of Brassicas makes me retch :o(( Blarghhhh !!! Yach !! ..... lol

I don't think so hywel, I'm sure the ladies would love it, dye it red, hang a couple of sprouts on......., sorry, its my weird imagination. LOL. I had sprouts today, lovely.

OK lol I might just do it then... ;o)

I had raw cauliflower for dinner lol, and I like to break a bit off now and again, and I munch it.
Can't stand it cooked though :o((
Now maybe I should try eating sprouts raw lol

Will look forward to those, apparently there are a lot of new sprouts out there, (was on the One Show,) new sweeter varieties, love them shredded with crispy bacon and double cream yummy!!!

I like sprouts winter wouldn't be the same without them , I'm having trouble imaging Red ones .... what next Red cabbages , oh sorry ! they already have them don't they :o)
