Best things come in small packages!

Busy day yesterday :)
My greenhouse arrived yesterday – three little wee long boxes and a small crate of toughened glass! I was expecting to at least see four constructed sides, the base and then the glass, but oh no! One mahoosive meccano project for Steve when he gets home …. good job it was one of his favourite toys as a boy.
I was really impressed with the delivery – I expected some random DHL type courier but it was Eden Halls themselves that delivered it. The poor delivery driver had already been to glenrothes, then me near Aberdeen, up to Peterhead, over to Inverness, down to Fort William and then down to Glasgow before heading back to Grimthorpe by the weekend. A complete loop of Scotland :)
Then next came my patio in the afternoon – ethically sourced natural Indian Sandstone (oooh) … again two teeny weeny crates to cover 30 square metres, the lockbock won’t come until next week – all 1000 bricks of it. Just about had a panic attact when the hi-ab operator almost dangled a ton of gravel over the car – well it looked pretty close, but in reality probably wasn’t even close :)
Dad lent me his rotovator last night to churn up my newly dug out flowerbeds – I thought they were supposed to make things easier??? I gave up in the end and asked Dad to finish the job off, they are so hard for a girl to use. it’s really made such a difference to the clay soil though, it’s actually beginning to resemble soil now that all the muck has been working in. Will give it another going-over at the weekend and see how it looks. Feeling my abs this morning!!

Here’s to another productive weekend in the garden! Hope the weather keeps up.

Happy easter everyone…..

Ohh, exciting!! You must be beside yourself! Are you putting it up over the holiday weekend? Wish I lived nearer, I could come and give you a hand... or a hinderance!! Lol! I couldn't control a rotovator either, I can't get them to move forward, I could dig a biggish hole to Australia though! I'm sure your Dad could whizz through the beds in two ticks, just smile nicely!!

LOL...more productive than you think Donna....have you read your pm's today? I know what you mean about that crane dangling thing...I was a bit like that with the gravel and he didn't go anywhere near my car!

Well I hope you are feeling fit as it seems as if you have an awful lot of work to do, but at least you'll get some nice things at the end of it. Good Luck.

You've got quite a project on there...but it seems you will have help so as a team I hope it all comes together for you without any hitches!

You've a long bank holiday weekend to begin the project and you've a head start with the flowerbeds already improved by the rotatilling. Hope the muscle hold out!
