Busy afternoon

Well I took the afternoon off today with the intention of treating our new shed but thanks to the rain I had to amuse myself by planting up my winter/autumn planters.
It’s a shame the shed needs painting, we’d love to keep it the colour it is, it matches the house …. or should I say ‘blend in’!

Anyway, since the ‘golden oak’ stain will have to wait for another day, I’ve sorted out these planters…

Skimmia ‘Magic Marlot’

Viola ‘Yellow Duet’

Dianthus

The boss was making sure I was hard at it….. (from the warmth of the utility room)

Planted these up, but thought there wasn’t much point taking a photo of bare compost :)

Also bought this chilli plant, but they’re not very H O T …..

I like the colour of your shed as it is. It's something like mine.

Yes, I agree with Hywel. shame you have already bought the stain because you could have got a light shade from the range that I used when i painted mine blue. I'm sure they have pale shades...not sure if they have white. Cracking shed anyway! That Skimmia has just reminded me.... I bought two of these last year and they both died on me. They were both in planters raised off theground. One was certainly frozen to death because all the leaves turned brown and went to mush during the big freeze. Now I'm thinking I should have got another hardy Rhododendron instead of that Skimmia! Nice pots and planters donna!
