Winter approaches, I have the Scrabble Board out

It is the word which can describe the jaws of a vicious animal... eg..A bear attacked me and I got my hand caught in its maw and couldn't get free.... Yup... I got my hammered dulcimer out and am getting ready to learn some new tunes during the cold season. Only now I find it difficult playing it with only one hand:)

I googled it "jaws and throat of a voracious animal"...... (or greedy person)
so its a real word!

Just had a look - its in the concise Oxford Diane.
Have you tired playing on line? I tried it for a while but they allow such strange (and non existent?)two letter words I gave up - and you can also search for words too - takes the skill out of it.

I like a game of Scrabble and like you I play only against myself and a made up character, the games online are often the american version and seem to accept lots more words than our offline version would allow, have to say its easier to cheat playing like that but soon gets boring, I prefer a challenge, also play Solitaire and enjoy doing jigsaws which I make up from my own photographs, I also like to read Diane, anything to pass away the winter and those long dark nights when I cannot sleep...

The libraries will be busier too.
I avoid screens Stera if possible, easier on the eyesight.
Wonder if its possible to play Scrabble against an unseen
gardener using only garden/plant names ?
Will keep it in mind.

Wow, that sounds mighty difficult!

Its not when I thought about it. Have done a blog as like
