Bargain Gardening Books.

Its worth calling in at local Charity Shops where they classify their book shelves.
Easier to spot Gardening Books and find the specific advice you need, for the plants you have.
I have always wanted the RHS Gardeners’ Encyclopedia of Plants and Flowers. Cost £35. Second hand on the internet £16 plus a heavy book charge for P&P. £25.
Went into the Oxfam shop yesterday for my monthly look for mint edition Travel books, and there it was, waiting for me !
£2.99 and I came home very happy.

That's some bargain! Now you have it, I bet you will wonder what you ever did without it. One of the best, I think (and helpful for crosswords, if you are that way inclined.)

I use charity shops in UK (Don't get them out here) to buy jigsaws. In the cold, dark days between January and February (LOL) there's nothing more relaxing than sitting in front of the stove, looking for piece number 4999! Then we pass them on to friends.

That's a good idea. I never thought of doing that ...

Every time I take the rugs up to clean the tiles underneath I find another stray piece - that and Christmas tree needles.

I always pop into our local charity shops whenever I pass them. I get paperbacks to take on holiday and then leave them behind in the hotel for others to enjoy. All my crystal vases have come from charity shops as well.
