Hi all, I wrote a blog last year on our pond/garden feature we were going to add to our garden. Decided to show you all how the project is coming on. The Castle garden feature was started early summer last year, since then weather permitting my husband has been adding new features making improvements etc. All the miniature bricks were handmade by my hubby, also the doors, Port Cullis’s, Tower windows, Battlement bricks and concrete entrance’s. Also as you can see from the latest photos the pond is now taking shape. He has also added a Watchtower onto the main entrance leading onto the Dyke. All the pipework has now been installed, there is a Castle garden to the left, which I have planted all sorts of flowers, bulbs, etc Aqualigia, Sunflowers, Lilies, Grape Hyacinths, Lupins, Christmas Roses, Sweet William, Foxgloves, Canterbury Bells, the list is endless. This is going to be in Memory of my father. When the garden is in full bloom I will post photos.

That is absolutely stunning and will look even more stunning when completed and with all the plants. Fancy having an OH clever enough to envisage and make something like a castle. It makes you think that it might just get occupied!

Will you be having aquatic/pond plants too in your pond??

Hi Dandan yes I will be adding some pond plants when it is finished before I introduce my fish to their new home. I have already put in plants around the pond that will reflect on the water, I have also put in plants around the Castle Wall so that they hang down over the rocks of the waterfall when they get established. The Dyke of the Castle was completed yesterday, I will add some pictures for you very soon.
