What a variety of wild life you have Dawn loved the owl. Your hubby must be brave up so high with the big bird box up that tree.

Lovely photos on Ispyabird site, Da. Surprised that Bonkersbon and Jane are not around much though. I must say that I rarely visit the site as it all seemed to have got very technical re the photography and I'm just a 'Point & Click' type!

Snoops, glad I'm not alone in thinking that! :o)

Lovely Blog on ISPY Dawn and nice to get a second chance to look at your wonderful wildlife its a credit to your gardening skills encouraging them into your garden ,well done :o) I wonder what happened to Jane & Ray ?

Thanks 3d. Yes, I was nervous seeing him up high putting the nestbox in the tree, let's hope we get visitors. Oh, forgot to say, we have a camera in there too :)
Hi Snoop, yes the kingfisher is the star of the show. He was sitting on the duck house roof this morning.
Hi Shirley, I joined ispy when it first launched but my real love is gardening so I never got involved. Shame its like that. I did the blog for Ray and Jane really.
Hi Amy. Yes, its the fact that wildlife has found us that makes it good.
Just thought, I didn't include the grass snakes, tut.
I have an old email address for Jane and Ray so emailed them but no reply. I hope they're OK.

I wonder if Jane & Ray have moved Dawn or changed email addresses , I hope they are alright ! Grass snakes ! I don't like to think of you in that water with snakes or were those Adders you took photos of in the water ? :o(

Thanks for thinking of my safety Amy, they were grass snakes, I think. Nothing beats the snail larvae that burrowed into my flesh lol. Do you remember. It was Lori that said it happens to swimmers in Canada who swim lakes.I was so ill, haha. No bare skin in there again.
I dont know where jane and Ray can be, I hope they reply to my email. I loved it when they were on goy.

Yes I remember Dawn that was nasty you don't expect things like that do you , the other thing I'm always wary of is Ticks in grass ,our old dog use to get them on him occasionally they use to swell up full of blood until they dropped off ,Elaine came home with one on her neck when she was small after playing in grass I panicked as they carry a disease you have to be very careful how you remove them Yuks !

Yes Amy, you have to remove the whole tick dont you, as they bury their heads in the skin, horrible. Poor Elaine. That is one thing we dont seem to get here. Yes, you can catch Lyme disease from an infected tick. In fact, our local garden centre man's wife had it, really terrible illness.

Da, I'm the same as you then, joined Ispyabird when it was first created but prefer to stick with GoY for the gardening! OH and I sat in our little Summerhouse this afternoon and I could see things that need moving/tidying/dead-heading but forced myself to stay seated. It wasn't easy! :o)

You are disciplined today Shirley. Your summerhouse must be great, we don't have one, hmm. I joined ispy at the start intending to add bird pics as goy went through a funny stage where some objected to any pics except gardens - to you remember, plus I wanted to support Jane and Ray but I never got into the site.

The Summerhouse was installed last May, Da, it's only got room for a couple of chairs and a table really but is lovely to relax in, especially if the wind is blowing! Our cat loves it too, curls up on the floor in the shade if it's a hot day.

When I joined GoY back in 2010, Ray was really helpful as I knew nothing about adding photos or writing blogs so he messaged me fairly often! I do recall the kerfuffle over what should or should not be shown. Oh well, that was some time ago now.

Your summerhouse sounds perfect, you can enjoy the outdoors but be warm at the same time. Awww its nice when the cats find a favourite spot. We have fond memories of Ray, I hope they are OK, yes, always helpful.

I still think we should have had a bigger Summerhouse, but that would mean less gardening space! I hope he and Jane are fine too. :o)
