A few flowers

By davros

I’m not a flower man but I’ve one or two dotted about my allotment, during an idle moment this afternoon I took a couple of snaps of them.I ‘ve never taken many pictures of flowers, but, I must say they are very compliant subjects:they’re always smiling;almost compose themselves-and have infinite patience:not like most people then! Not great pics but I enjoyed taking them.

can’t believe the heady fragrance from these

another anemone

and another

OK, I ran out of flowers;but the insects seem to like ’em-bet this is a first for GOY,dandelions!

Thanks snoop,as regards the rhubarb, I 'm afraid I'm no expert on them, you'd be best looking at the question I posed a week or two ago.Bamboo advised that if they are young plants, which they are,I should. only pick a few stalks. And I'm not sure if they go tough. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Thanks Stroller - I've just noticed my blinkin ' camera strap at the corner of the red anemone one - off to specsavers tomorrow!

Nice pics even with the camera strap, lol, the scent of wallflowers is hard to beat in my opinion...

Great pics Davros - you can almost smell those wallflowers! And the dandelions are gorgeous - if they were hard to grow we would all be wanting htem!

Snoop, you can pull a couple of stalks now but don't overdo it this year. Try to take only one at a time from each little growing point while its still a baby.
Older stems are naturally less tender than young ones but they go soft when you cook them so it doesn't really make much difference.
