Lol :)
It's no bad thing to go "colour mad" David....sometimes a touch of colour on a hard surface, such as a fence, trellis or shed...can be just what a garden needs, especially if the colour can be linked to surrounding planting.

Lovely colour David :)
Really like the terracotta planter as well...

And it will really do! This book is a kind of life source, isn't it? You are lucky having one! :)

Yes, Grenville had some wonderful blogs..e.g. Stumpery...
Victorian.... your era again, David...
...maybe put the shed pic up as a photo ? :o)

Fascinating David. Between Mr & Mrs they had the kitchen and garden sewn up didn't they ? But I must admit, I'm wondering about the hot beds and Grenville ??!! ;~O)))

Nice to see your diaries D, its great to look back and see where youve been isn't it?

I remember the Gateshead Festival in 1990 (just)..managed to drag OH along. It was a lovely hot day I remember. I like that head planter too....looks good on the shed (lovely colour by the way!)

I remember that eclipse. We had drizzle lol. It went rather dark but it was dark anyway because of the cloudy weather. - Rather disappointing :o(

Thank you sweetie! Shame the rhubarb's past!

Oh thats an even better way to recall it then.

Lovely look back is your shed still as nice and are the under water lights still going?

I m with you there Andrew from someone who has painted 40ft of trellis, and still finding places I have missed.

It's great not having to wait for the next episode to appear! But now I've caught up with your blogs, David, time to go & read about what others have been blogging on about! LOL! :-D

I've got one that is still in draft form!

Another interesting blog with extracts from your diary.

I wish I'd known about the dog's hair earlier, now it's too late as our 5 little doggies have gone to the "Doggy heaven in the sky" as Elvis Priestly once sung. (I have the song on my computer & it, quite literally, brings tears to my eyes - & I'm not one for being emotional! We could have used the copious amounts of hair they shed.

I have had a couple of cone shaped hanging baskets on my balcony for years now & in the spring it's quite common to see the birds pulling out threads of the coconut fibre lining! They used to do the same with the other 5 round baskets, they all had coconut fibre liners till I changed them this year before filling them with Fuchsias. No, I didn't change them to stop the birds pulling out the fibre, I changed them because they were all breaking up & I couldn't use them another year.

Lovely, interesting blog once again, David! I've tried on the odd occasion to keep a diary but soon tire of making entries. Having said that I keep a sort of weather diary on the BeyondSpace forum where I'm one of the Admins. I've written a page of the weather where I live for the last 3 years & it makes interesting reading to look back on.:-)

Looking forward to reading more entries rescued from your diary.

I'm still waiting for my cake!! Lol!
